Hi All,
I've been working on a CAF version for osprey. This is started from kernel and device tree made by Alberto97 and Squid2, so thanks a lot to them for the bringup. This project has been changed in order to work for surnia/osprey and lux.
This version is very early for Lux, but it's been running on osprey and surnia for some weeks/months now.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
For now only a few things are working:
Working
Bluetooth
SMS/RIL
Sound
Camera
Dual sim
Gps
Not working
Nothing really just a few bugs
Binaries

This project was initially pure caf, but it now take some repo from CM and some CM commits too for exfat support and Audio/Video features.

Flash 2.52 it works fine
Settings crashes when tried to set ringtone anyone fixes ..?
Does it takes more time to boot..?
Picking up the phone doesn't wake up the lockscreen. Is there a way to possibly implement something like CM?

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

are you using the posted TWRP? or different version?
Resolved. Lol. Whew.
i used all files from this post. made sure my device had b309 flashed. get the bootloader up and fastboot twrp. #success
I've updated the top post. You really need to use that TWRP for the time being.
Thanks. I would suggest anyone using this to force 309 first. Huawei made some odd changes in 321. Bypassing recovery. Maybe that caused his issue? Thanks for this. Renewed hope in a good phone!
There's no need to downgrade to B309. B321 is also fine, there is a workaround posted elsewhere in the forum.

Caf Explained!
You might have seen that name all over the forums back when kernel developers for Qualcomm Snapdragon devices maintained two separate forks of their work. One for code based on Google’s AOSP, and another based on CAF. Code Aurora Forum is maintained by the Linux Foundation, and is where Qualcomm releases the reference sources for their various platforms. Most OEMs base their kernel source off of what’s provided by Qualcomm. On the other hand AOSP works off of a fork of CAF for each Android software iteration, introducing new features for all Android devices along the way. Over time, CAF then introduces its own optimizations intended specifically for Snapdragon devices.

Also I'm not afraid of random crashes or anything of that sort bc I don't use my phone often, I just call my mom and occasionally use it for messaging my friends, which I have Discord for!

D855 its already supported here by @HardStyl3r
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-lineageos-15-0-alpha-t3689278
this thread its for LG G3S (AKA LG G3 BEAT, LG G3 MINI)
phone rebooted every time i tried to update Play services from playstore (when it gets to 100% downloaded). other apps install normally. (i use beta playservices, turned beta program off to check)
installing apks manually doesnt work neither (i flashed magisk to root, idk if it could trigger that)
edit: yeah, it was magisk, i flashed the magisk unninstaller, then flashed latest supersu and everythings fine installing apks now
D724 build builded
It shows LOS logo as while booting every approximately 10 minutes. It looks like phone reboots itself. Any solution?
In new releases Bluetooth and video recording working???

Happens also to me in latest version (1-23) on jagnm.
reverted to 01/18 version
Did someone experience quick discharging of battery? In few minutes there was 5% down without doing nothing with phone.

EDIT: Version 01/18 does not have the problem with quick discharging, only the one 01/23 version.
Version 01/23 discharged 6% in 25 minutest in standby mode, version 01/18 discharged 2% in 25 minutes in standby mode

Yep G3, not G3S.
Clean flashed 01/23 build and still getting reboots every 10mins exactly, idk why. Jagnm.
01/18 build doesnt have those random reboots

The main problem is quick battery draining in boths builds which make ROM unusable. Those reboots are IMHO not so much big problem compared to battery problem. I cannot use phone when I get 12% battery down in standby mode in 1 hour.
