Great, so it has FM radio. I don't mind no headset as I would just use my own. Thanks.
Naw dude, I mean you don't need a Headset to use FM Radio, like on any other phones (here u need a Headset to use FM Radio).

"FM RADIO REQUIRES STEREO HEADSET TO BE CONNECTED TO FUNCTION"

Every device with built in FM Radio, needs the wired head set to act as an aerial antena, that is what that message mince.

@ alix776:
Hi, could you please share with us here, how to enable Bt stereo headset so it can be used with FM radio? You said it's related to registry edit or something.
Thanks for any response.

the radio CAN'T work without anthena (headset)
if you will use haedset anyway, do you really need bluetooth headset for radio?
what if i connect both to my device and want the audio via bluetooth only?
I tried that. Even with a faux antennae connected to the audio port, FM radio still will NOT stream to Bluetooth, but will play perfectly with the BT headphones off. Don't bother...

Doesn't it use your headphone's wire as an antenna? dont think it would be possible.
SGS2 - FM over bluetooth headset
Thanks for reply.
FM is possible through wired headphone, but any means ANY option to listen FM over bluetooth headset (i don't mind if i need to use wired headphone as a antena).
hi everyone,
i own a Samsung Galaxy S i9000 (stock rom 2.3.6 JVZ).
There is a way (trick or app) to listen FM radio to the bluetooth headset instead the normal wired headphones? I need to plug wired headphones because they work as fm antenna but i can't route audio to bt headset..
I usually listen to the radio while driving to work with my motorbyke, now i bought a bluetooth helmet but i can't listen to the fm radio through bluetooth...
There is a way to do that? thanks..
I have some LG HBS-700 stereo bluetooth headset, but can´t fond the way to hear FM radio through it, the radio app only shows the option to hear by wired headset (that are plugged ofcourse) or via speakers....
Haven´t try with others headset but don´t think that do any difference
Some else with the same issue ??
The fm radio needs wired headphones because it uses them as an antenna.

Just not sure if this is going to be possible. My only suggestion would be to use an app such as Tune In Radio (or any app that will stream the station you want) and then BT Mono (if needed) to get the sound out of the bluetooth headset. It streams pretty decent over 3g.
Sorry if this is obvious and doesn't help.

Exactly! And trust me, been trying this for years and one of the reasons I got Photon.
With all my other phones, they had FM App I could get BUT, technically, it was just streaming (in mono) and not all stations were available. You still could not use BT, but speaker was available! Pandora was my new savior. EVO 4G the same.
Photon has build in FM receiver. Your not listing to streaming, you get a radio station just like your home receiver BUT it needs help with getting strong signal, hence you still need wired, but you get way more stations.
I have though, found some good stations on Pandora!
Thanks guys .. I will try it...
Also will try BlueMusic, I hear can work too
One more time I ask my question that I see in other forums still unanswered, since 2007.
Is it possible to listen to FM radio bringing some mobiles (eg S3) using bluetooth headset?
I know it takes physical headphone cable antenna to do. I have no problem to plug some wire if that is necessary.
But I want to listen to the radio (not streaming with apps like tunein) via bluetooth.
Does anyone know if this is possible? I do not think it's something SO difficult. With the application of native MP3 music player on my S3 I have a choice if I want to output to the external speaker or bluetooth.
How hard is it to do something similar to the radio?
Is there no cooked ROM to do it?
thank you very much
No it is not possible because the earphone wire acts as an external antennae for the radio. If you don't believe me, grab an old pair of earphones that don't work and chop off 2/3rds of the cable. Plug it in and go on FM radio app and output sound to speaker. It will work fine.
Kind Regards
Dave

I know that the wire is necessary as antenna. I wrote that in my text.
The thing that I want is to connect a wire in the jack, and to have the possibility of redirecting the output thru bluetooth.
Hi,
it is possible, check if your device is supported by Spirit fm. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059296
Using a digital audio method enables output over bt-headset.

Many thanks Chillmann. I have just installed SpiritFM in my Samsung S3 and it works. But I have only two alternatives in Settings/Audio/Output: headset or speaker. I don´t have alternative "bluetooth".
Yes, because there is none such alternative ^^
U need to change Settings/Audio/Method (select a digital method for ur device and all the sound will go throu BT as long as a BT-Device is paired with ur Phone. U cant even force sound back throu wired Headset unless u disconnect from BT)
Maybe the Free Version doesnt provide this option
I have bought the paid version and it works perfectly!!! Finnally I can listen to the radio thru my bluetooth intercom when I am riding my motorcycle, and without streaming. Many thanks.
My FM Radio and madiatek fans in 2021 Lol, you may be able to listen to FM Radio, using the stock fm radio app, through bluetooth.
My case is the Blu G9 Pro on Android 10 mtk6771. I also tried my old Blu R1 HD and also works.
Simply:
1. Connect wired headset, (still required) for antennae,
2. Launch fm radio app, pick a station and play as usual.
3. While fm is playing through wired headset, connect bluetooth headset.
Fm radio audio is redirected to bluetooth headset automatically.
This will need to be done each time you want to use fm radio with bluetooth.
Why is this important to me? I am rooted with magisk and Viper4Android installed. Now I can enjoy free FM Radio through Bluetooth headset with the best audio quality using Viper4Android.
What'd y'all think?
