Verizon is reported to be rolling out marshmallow updates, per android authority
http://www.androidauthority.com/verizon-lg-g3-marshmallow-update-668715/
Good news
VS985 USER
This program isn't even showing me the 35B KDZ. Don't know if LG changed their URLs (which I'm pretty sure all the program uses). It's always worked for me in the past.
Alternative is they already pulled the 35B KDZ before posting the new one.
Ah, the IMEI for my G Pad 8.3 in that program also produces no downloadable KDZ, so LG must have changed something.
And the website linked in the program seems to take me to a different site than it was before.

Well, for the official, you'll have to wait until Verizon pushes it out. They always push out OTAs in batches.
Or, find a custom ROM.
Overall, patience.
UPDATE:
Looks like the G3 isn't the only one accidentally getting Marshmallow pushed out to select devices by accident:
http://phandroid.com/2016/01/25/galaxy-s5-marshmallow-update/
I'm getting frustrated. I plugged my G3 into my computer and it pops up saying an upgrade is available for my VS985 4G. I hit upgrade now then it tells me I'm up to date. I really hate waiting.

Here's an article from about 2 days ago stating it's been more than just Jrdnram_98 getting the OTA.

Meh, I'm happy with the update. I'll flash the new one when it comes out too, but this is running smoothly for me.

Of course, it's better. However, you'll likely have to flash back to stock 2.1 JFD as I'd expect to you won't be able to update directly from JI5. Even the JI5 update forced people to do that (for example those that were on JI2 / JI4), I'd expect more of the same. There are those who have no problem doing this and that's fine. I'm just warning those who aren't / might not be.

Fine there are Odin official tmobile images over in bible sticky and take a min to flash
Yea you lose programs settings ...ect but IMO its better to start from scratch when using new updates. And not run into intermittent and compatibility issues like what seems to be going on now with allot of people
but yea this update works great no problems whats so ever for me

Thanx, but I sorta needed that working GPS last week, not soon. Besides, "soon" is such an evasive term.
This makes me recollect the June 8th outing of a policy statement by Cole Brodman, Chief Technology Officer @ T-Mobile titled "No Phone Left Behind". It was in regards to assuring owners of the HTC Mytouch3G that they'd be receiving a Froyo update.
Nearly four months later and zip for the MT3G from Tmobile or HTC.
Maybe I'm wrong as my knowledge of timelines is from the inside of my addled head, but I do not believe T-Mobile has had a successful OTA of *ANY* Android phone in their stable this year at all. It's not the most encouraging development. (I do recall the Behold II 1.6 OTA, but it was eventually pulled for bricking phones....and led to me getting my Vibrant for free from T-Mobile before the official Vibrant launch...long story).
Granted, T-Mobile does not develop firmware, so they are at the mercy of the phone manufacturers. Still, if there's any issue that is at the core of Android angst, it is this one.
Just so I don't come across as a troll, I love my Vibrant. Compared to the Behold II I had and every other smartphone I've had it's leaps and bounds ahead of them all. I just get irritated when P.R. and "spin" get out of control...
Of course, this thread was a warning to the people who hadn't yet flashed JI5 / Kies and were still uncomfortable with doing it. Obviously, it's not people who are (already) comfortable. Knowledgeable people are certainly free to ignore and flash away.
This is BS. T-Mobile... how soon is soon? How long have we heard there would be an update to the MyTouch? I cannot and will not wait around for them to OTA anything. I will be very shocked if I get an update in the next month. I know i sound a little pessimistic but who wouldn't?
This is nonsense, installing this update does not prevent me from ODIN to any other firmware. I went directly from JI4 to JI5, so whoever said that I cannot do that is very confused.

That's because you ODIN flashed it.
Kies looked for the JFD product code, then gave you the option to update.
Lol how ironic that they don't want you to flash the firmware because it has 'known' issues. But the firmware on it has bigger issues so hmmm

OTA could brick it just as well. Would it be Samsungs first OTA update for Android or the first OTA ever?

True. I'd like to think the probability of bricking over OTA would be lower. Since it would be an official update they'd also likely be / feel more obligated to provide whatever support they wanted to.

dont you mean 10b? please fix your wording so we can understand better.
I have wondered about that wording too. The original firmware from Verizon was v10b, right, but then we got an OTA everyone refers to as v11c. Nothing odd about that, but all the other G3's, like T-Mobile ATT and so forth have been getting a series of updates (while Verizon let us languish in anguish...), and they are all like v10j, v10k, v10L, v10m, and so forth.
I wonder why the Verizon OTA (finally) arrived with both the 10 bumped to 11 and the b bumped to c ?

Nobody knows, but it definitely makes about as much sense as Verizon's insane lock-down policy Anyways, yes there has definitely been a lot of confusion over this, with a lot of people not bothering to make sure they are using the correct terminology. 10B is the old update, while 11C is the new. And yes, the OP does mean 10B.
Meanwhile, other models of the LG G3 are now up to v10u !
Are we winning yet ?

You certainly could, just go to the general section. Careful though, there are reports of gmail and hangouts not syncing very well on the stock lollipop Rom.

I had the issues with Hangouts, Inbox (and Gmail) not notifying of new items/syncing. I would say that if this is your wife's device and to save you headaches of having to go back to 12B, I would NOT upgrade her to 23B (lollipop).
Is this a problem for those not rooted/bumped? My wife doesn't use hangouts, and rarely checks/reads/replies to Gmails, but if this is a global issue, I will probably wait.

That's a tough call to make. I never had any sync issues, but many have. So I wouldn't say that the sync issues are global, but I would say that they're unpredictable. That other guy who posted had a good point, but if you don't think a sync issue would bother your wife, then go for the upgrade.
Another thought; I enjoy the LP Rom too much to go back to KK, but if your wife doesn't know what she's missing, then upgrading may end up being wasted effort. Ignorance is bliss, right?
Ive upgraded and the only issue i have is the lag it makes it seem as thought wifi or data is slow when actually the phone if she use fb or any social app that has pics and videos she may not be happy with having to wait for the pics to upload

It's widely regarded although there may be a few who still have the issue, that IPv6 being turned on in the router and phone being the issue. Just disable IPv6 on your router and it's fixed on your WiFi at least. Or if you root you can apply the fix in the JasmineROM thread.
For my part, I haven't had any syncing issues and I've been on stock LG Lollipop for over a month.

If you have TWRP installed, just flash JasmineROM v7.0 (and SuperSU.zip if necessary). Unless you also flash one or both of the JasmineROM 7.0 addon zips that tweak or debloat, it's 100% stock besides being rooted (and "bump'd"), and technically, having the necessary 12B partitions in order to still be able to use TWRP.

Are you completely stock, or rooted/bumped and flashed JasmineROM?
Does LG/Verizon acknowledge the issue?
Again, my wife doesn't use Hangouts ever, and Gmail not so much, so that's not a deal breaker. I can however, enable HD Calling for her and enjoy improved call quality when I'm talking to her on my HTC One M9!
HD calling, I guess you are referring to Verizon's VoLTE, has been reported to drop calls due to hand-off failures if either party moves out of range of their current 4GLTE tower.

You don't tell us what variant you have. All Pie are not equal.
Make sure you are on the most recent Pie. Just saying you are on "Pie" doesn't tell us anything. EU H930 30b was horrible, 30d/30q is better. A third release is coming soon. 2nd releases are coming soon for all other variants.
US998 Pie 30b is very wonky. Other North American Pie KDZ like Verizon VS996 and Canada H933 seem to be better.
India H930DS 30b seems very good.
If your variant doesn't have a 2nd release yet, then downgrade back to last Oreo and wait for another Pie KDZ to be released for your variant.
Sorry, I'm not really tech savvy lol. My software version is H93230D. I have TMobile if that matters.

That's very odd. Are you rooted? Not rooted? That makes a difference since there are files you needed to flash.
By buggy, I assume lag? What are the issues that you see? I haven't ran into any problems other then DTS will not work with PowerAmp. USB audio pro player does work with DTS.
I face no lag, everything works as if I was on 8.0. Actually I find 9.0 is a bit better in most areas.

Edit, did you update from a TWRP zip? If so I know the issue but not what causes it. You just have to keep flashing till the TWRP zip flashes correctly. You know it flashes correctly when you see the T-Mobile boot logo and hear the T-Mobile jingle.
Not sure what you mean by rooted.
Im experiencing lag and my notifications are delayed and also messages are being received late or when I open up another app I get the same notifications/messages pop up that I've already seen. This only started happening when it updated.

Ok, you don't know what root means so I assume you are stock. No TWRP, or modified stock ROM.
I suggest a factory reset since it's a major OS version. This is just recommended by everyone.
I don't know if it's old useless information that doesn't matter anymore, ( like getting a new phone and charging it to 100% before first use for battery health) but it sure fixes any issues that have been caused.
Like a fresh upgrade for every windows update.

The OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren is now receiving an update from T-Mobile that bumps the phone to version 10.0.25.HD61CB. The 269.3MB update promises enhanced 5G upload and download speeds, stability improvements, and general bug fixes.
Finally fixed my GPS issue with Waze that the last update was supposed to fix. GPS locks in every time.
Thanks. I got this with following message for update:

So I just got the notification for the update and figured why not. Well I get 'Installation Problem' when I attempt it. Now perhaps this is because I have the sim and bootloader unlocked? I am not sure but one more reason I am really starting to regret buying this phone with T-MO. I would have just shipped one in from Germany with the EURO ROM since I REALLY need dual sim setup. Having had two previous OP phones I figured, no big deal I will convert it over to dual sim. Well yeh, not so much. Looks like my last OP phone.
