a new rom for Surnia. very good, I will test it today. good work and thanks for having interest in our beloved Surnia. :good:
I installed the rom and noticed a bug early on, not to select a screen lock pattern, the finished selecting the break setting. Sorry for my terrible English. continue with your great job.
Looks good man, downloading it now, this is good development, its always nice to see someone put the work into something rather than just cherry picking features and commits, keep up the good work man, I'll report back

Trying to test this out, but initial setup is hanging up at "checking connections". Tried open gapps pico 6.0 and slim mini 6.0. Same behavior. Clean install both times.
Edit. Apparently it was not happy with a shaky mobile data connection toggling in the background behind my Wi-Fi. Pulled sim card during setup, seems OK now.
Setup crashes when attempting to set pin security during setup process. Skipping security allowed it to continue.

I have to agree with the former comments. This is a rom that had a lot of hard work put into it, and it is by far my favorite one so far. Great job and keep up the good work! One of my favorite things about it is the charging speed. Its really fast!

Q&A
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why don't I have root access after installing OmniROM?
A: OmniROM does not have an official, prebuilt root method yet, so you'll just need to flash SuperSU in recovery and you'll have 100% working root access. SuperSU can be found here: SuperSU
Q: Where is <insert feature here>, like CM/AOKP/PA/etc have??
A: Omni is still very early in development, but moving at an incredibly fast rate. New feature, bug fixes, and device support are added just about daily. Check it out here: OmniROM Gerrit Review for the latest and greatest
Q: How do I start/stop screen recording?
A: Volume UP + Power will start screen recording. Simply drag the notification bar down and click the button to stop.
Q: HALP NFC doesn't work!!
A: We know.

builds up now sorry sorry
I've had Omni on my flo for a while now and love it, I got excited when I started seeing jf come up in gerrit and was wondering when this day would come. Thank you for working towards supporting this device!
edit
Just did a fresh install of this ROM. Couple issues I've already come across..
My screen after a restart won't go to sleep after the specified time or by pushing the power/sleep button.
Not sure if this is related, but I have enabled active display and got an FC error upon my first notification and had to battery pull.
Update: After turning off Active display I can now put my phone to sleep without issue.
So... I've read the 'this is what custom roms should be' press release three times now, and I still have no idea what differentiates Omni from other ROMs. Is it a custom interpretation of AOSP code, like Cyanogenmod, or features ladled over Cyanogen code, like most other ROMs? Does it offer any of the fiddly knobs of Paranoid Android, or is this going to be a feature-avalance like AOKP or PAC?
I know things are still early days for Omni, but what am I looking forward to when I flash your ROM?

OmniROM is based on straight AOSP code, if you look in the source on github, you will see that VERY few repositories are actually forked from AOSP at all (put external in the search bar for Omni's public repos). Omni is designed to have many features and options that are all able to be toggled by the user. Omni is about choices, and giving the end-user the choices to make the ROM function the way that THEY want it to. 99% of features added to OmniROM come with a toggle to turn it on or off, hence "choices" :good:
The changelog pretty much gives a breakdown of all the features, because since the first 4.4 build, i did not make any releases until we fixed some major issues. This ROM is just about 100% stable. I say "just about" because if I reported my actual experience, which is literally ZERO issues, on nexus 5 and galaxy s 4, people would hang me and start bombarding me with "well what about this error I have that no one else does".
Best advice, make a backup and flash it. if you don't like it, then just restore your backup. no harm no foul. but i'm willing to bet you stick on this for a bit. There are a ton of features that are unique to OmniROM that other ROMs do NOT have.
also, pretty HUGE status update will be coming tonight (hopefully) as well
I'm freaking stoked I've been wanting to try OmniROM!

I've been hoping that someone would bring this over to us so I could try it out. Been running it most of the day today with almost no issues. Haven't really had a chance to play with it a lot, but so far it's been pretty solid. It did lock up on me once when switching to ART (using the Banks gapps), but after reflashing with PA gapps and sticking with Dalvik I haven't had any issues. Battery life is solid, and having the extra kernel tweaks with the built in kernel is much appreciated. Looking forward to the updates, thanks!

Will this rely heavily on Xposed for customization, or is there an Aroma style solution in the works?

No, Xposed Frameworks mods will be up to the user to install and implement as they see fit. Generally, I think Omni has a fairly good amount of features already implemented, all with toggles to activate/deactivate, but as always, Xposed will be able to offer a little bit extra of things that we won't support out-of-the-box. I would be wary of using Xposed though, as you will need to ensure that the mods you are installed are updated for 4.4 Aroma will NEVER be implemented into OmniROM source, as it is not 100% stable and is not supported by all devices that Omni supports, and therefore would cause serious, serious issues. I'm sure people will make their own kangs of this eventually and there may be one with Aroma installer, but this will not ever implement that.
Also, some things to look forward to in the near future:
Omni File Explorer - OmniROMs native root file manager
native root support (you will no longer need to flash SuperSU in recovery)
OpenDelta - Omni's OTA Updater
NFC fix *properly*
Multi-Window
a big surprise in the next few hours

I would be VERY cautious of using ART as of now, it is still highly experimental in AOSP source and google needs to make a lot of improvements before I would use it standard
Thanks for all these update, it is greatly appreciated.. looking forward to the surprise tonight!

WHAT IS AOSP
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
Anyway to get a working system @Alberto97 added some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod. He added also 3 non-AOSP features for a better user experience (Advanced Reboot, "Clear All" button in Recents and an option to delete screenshots from the notification area).

Nice. Installed fine. Smooth, no issues. Missing a few tweaks that I'd find essential, eg led control, but that's to be expected as this is a clean base build.
Will be very interesting when we start to see tweaked custom ROMs based on this.

About ROM
Github : https://github.com/BrokenROM
From Lead Dev, InkSlinger420
This started as my personal project..I was looking to start something that was exactly what I wanted on my nexus 7 instead of either a Rom with a bunch of features you need a search to find (not that there's anything wrong with that, just not my cup of tea), or too light where i needed a module to get it (not that there's anything wrong with that either). It is very early in, but I and my team are trying to make this a enjoyable project and keep it updated as best we can regularly. Keep it friendly, or GTFO.....Thanks guys..
Thanks to Slim for the best base...and anyone (person or team) who has helped me along the way..

2. Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache.
3. Flash ROM and GAPPS
4. Reboot system and setup
5. SuperSU will ask you to update binaries. Don't worry, root is good. Just select yes to appease the app.
6. Profit!
If there are other kernels, mods or bootanimations or whatever other fancy stuff you add, do that after the initial install and boot. Be warned. If you have problems and are running anything besides stock BrokenOs, we won't support it. If you're flashing anything to your phone, we assume you have basic troubleshooting knowledge. Thanks for your cooperation.

BrokenPop is the Broken team's LP offering. the vast majority of the base is tracking from AOSP but there's much help from the hard working Slim team as well! Those guys kick ass. If you're looking for a clean, lean moderately themed M offering, your search is over. More features will be built back in as we move forward but it's time to show you around the new Broken goodness.

Good!
Well done dev for bringing this ROM to OPX. Nice experience testing this ROM for the first time, good battery backup, smooth, fluid, no heating problems. So far, I found only some minor features missing in this ROM: option to disable HW menu buttons, other than that I'm quite satisfied. Oh, and boot animation can be improved as well I guess..
Gapps link not working anymore. Can I just use any gapps?

I always use opengapps for all my ROM install, never having issues with it.

I'll look on the hw menu buttons. and about the boot animation, you have to stick to it or flash a custom one lol

Use any gapps for it, i dont have any problems with open gapps but nowadays open gapps are giving some issues, so for a safee side use banks or slim.

It comes with an older kernel than stock 6.0.x?
In fact, after looking at Motorola's github, they haven't used 3.4.x kernel since KitKat.

Thought it didn't seem right.
I see #Hashbang's name on Github - he gets around a lot!! Busy lad!
Awesome ROM but
I was on AICP ROM. Flashed this ROM and this is just amazing. Very less lag and no random reboots.
but I am facing a serious issue in both ROMs that is apps like Google photos, Instagram, buffer etc are unable to read photos taken from camera, screenshot etc. However when I move them to sdcard it works fine. PS: pictures Grey's out in Google photos.
There are also few bugs like:
System UI crashes sometime while opening settings.
After turning off charging and lock sound they are still on
Inbuilt camera app is not adjustable according to display settings.
Camera is slow and sometime shows camera busy.
Thanks

These are "exactly" the same camera issues I, and many others, are facing with this rom and is what is preventing me from using as a daily driver, it is awesome otherwise. I'm sure in time the dev's will get this figured out so for now I'm on the sidelines..... waiting.
Hope it will be fixed soon!

I am a fan of nougat features, so I can't resist it. As soon as 7.0 roms got out I installed it and using it as daily driver (Now AOSCP)
Hope that developers will fix these issues soon.
I introduced this rom come thanks plaese :silly:
Been using this for a few days... 3.1.1 and now 3.1.3. I'm very impressed and really like it. Has the feeling of a stock ROM (no Moto Voice obviously), but does incorporate some nice setting options neatly tucked into menus. I've only noticed a few issues...
1. camera opens slowly (presumably just at first or on occasion
2. I've had this weird issue with what I think is the Android Download Manager where it may not be fully downloading videos I grab to watch on the bus. Says they complete successfully, but the videos are unplayable. Tried ADM and it was okay.
3. Select apps occasionally crash. CM Audio crashes frequently, so I disabled it.
Flash like others zips ?
Thanks.

If you mean the rom then yes
Careful when dirty flashing updates it seems to replace gapps
I did witness a random reboot on CypherOS on the same day I installed it. Which is killer for me cause It lags and random reboots when I need the phone most. This and many other Roms do this. Im at the moment on AICP with only a few bugs but no random reboots (also them claiming they fixed it). I do hope that the wide variety of Roms up here can short this out. Cypher did feel incredibly smooth and worthy otherwise .

XenonHD is a custom firmware aka ROM for various Android devices. It is built from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and LineageOS with additional features, performance and battery life improvements.
The idea behind XenonHD is to give users a ROM that is "blazing fast, rock stable and buttery smooth".

Yes sir. Your date format makes sense but is also confusing. We typically see the month number proceed the day number but that's not important. Hope this rom kicks ass. Wouldn't flash for me though.

Haha, depends on locale. In the US it's month/day. Around Europe and some other parts day/month is the norm.
It can get confusing sometimes.

Why do you speak down to people who are having an issue installing your rom? I was going to give it a shot but after your defense against date confusion and then attack a members IQ because of issues with installing states alot about yours. Who needs it
@treyweez11, I also get error 7. Probably just doesn't like our TWRP or something. That happens. I removed the assert lines in the updater script and it flashed okay. Testing ROM now.
@ruturajjena, that child-like reaction of yours is unacceptable. You could've matched respect with respect but chose the low road. For something so minor. He didn't say anything about you nor the ROM (other than error 7. Never heard of it before?).
How are you going to handle all the questions, requests, complaints, incomplete bug reports, or posts that seem to question your skills because something doesn't work for them.
Battery sucks. Your fault.
Laggy. Your fault.
Poor signal. Your fault.
Usw.
I hope you don't plan to handle those with insults.
On to business. XenonHD has always been a cool ROM. One of my faves during the LP and MM days. Kind of skipped N.
I see that it is LOS-based this time around. It's not weighted down with a ton of features or customization which might please some folks.
VoLTE is there. Nova is default launcher. Nice.
The Browser Installer is the coolest thing. Haven't seen that on any ROMs I've used so far. There are times when I just don't like what comes with a ROM. This tool should be the norm.
Have to wait 'til later to give it a full workout with gapps and root. BTW, it seems to have LineageSU but for ADB only.

Some people will never look after the hard work you do. They will never appreciate it and will always try to troll you for little mistakes and bugs. It's better to stay away from development.
