No I do not, so I am guessing at this point it hasn't been porting yet?

It is possible in 1 of 2 ways:
1. Someone who has official stock 6.0 roots it and uses commands in a terminal app with root permissions to get copies of all the necessary partitions. It hasn't been reported by anyone if any root methods work yet, and there's only been one user who has reported on XDA actually getting the OTA update to 6.0 so far.
It used to be that just the act of rooting it modifies the system.img partition, but I don't know what it's like under Marshmallow since SuperSU doesn't modify it from what I know, so I don't know what Kingroot does if it works. Kingroot is reported to work on the D855 variant's stock Marshmallow release. Being that the most likely way of rooting it might be Kingroot and there are plenty of reasons not to want to use the Chinese app or deal with any possible side-effects of it, #2 would be preferred.
2. Wait for the KDZ to be released, which usually takes up to a week or more. The second has generally been preferred as it's more reliably getting the original stock purely untouched partition images, whereas #1 someone can modify the contents either knowingly or unknowingly before capturing an image of the necessary partitions.
It may additionally be a little more difficult to find the KDZ when it's released as LG changed things so unofficial tools don't appear to be able to grab the latest stock KDZ any more, and we shall only see if the official tools will even grab the proper new KDZ as well.
For myself, I've restored what's necessary to be able to check/download OTAs on the rooted ROM I'm using so that I'll know when my IMEI would potentially allow downloading the proper KDZ. When the OTA shows up I'll then retry the official tools. Right now the official tools don't even find the 35B KDZ.
It could be that we'll have to wait for the official tools to be updated as well if they decide to. Sorry for any TL;DR!

Porting is only for taking a ROM made for one phone/variant and making it work for another phone/variant. Doesn't apply in this case.

One more thing. Once it's available to flash as an updated rooted stock ROM, they'll be available in the usual places (Development).

Confirmed tungkick has successfully rooted the VS990, bounties go to him great job! Link to thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...ic-add-rootsystem-tot-vs990-tungkick-t3336345
From the looks of it and the file size, it's a complete replacement of the system partition. So my guess is permanent root. I've heard of two different people using it so far and have root access although they are on the 10B version. The video shows the 11B version towards the end. If you use the second link and paste the first link by following the photos, the download may only take a hour. Mine downloaded in 10-12 mins and then you unzip the file to flash.
Reference @rustypie for the .DLL file and file placement to get the LGUP program to see the LG V10 phone. See bottom of his thread post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=65732453
Hello Verizon V10 Community,
I was able to locate the full KDZ file for the Verizon V10 software version 11B, the latest available for the VS990. I personally have the V10 and it's already on 11B but I have a friend who just received his V10 in the mail today and it had 10B on it so I plugged his into my computer and the Verizon Upgrade Assistant downloaded the 11B KDZ. I have saved it, uploaded it and am making it available anyone who may need it.
You can download it from Android File Host here in a RAR archive: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24438995911975083
Alternatively, you can download it directly from LG's servers here: http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FW25NOE3325BACQF4BA4K6T/VS99011B_04_ARB00.kdz
MD5 of KDZ file when downloaded from AFH (NOT the rar file): 7f971f72b81945ad1f06df56300b6bae
You will need to use LGUP to flash this KDZ, which you can download from here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995295877. After you have installed LGUP, you will need to extract the 'common' folder from the LGUP rar archive and put it in: C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model. (See attached screenshot) This 'common' folder contains the DLL file that is needed for LGUP to recognize the Verizon variant of the V10. There are other downloads of LGUP in other forums here in XDA which contain other installers in addition to the LGUP installer. The other installers install DLL files for other variants of the V10 which are not needed for the Verizon variant. The DLL I've included in the 'common' folder is all you need for our Verizon variant.
Enjoy

that is what people pledged for root! and you did that! good job! that can be yours, not bad for some time spent doing what you love to do
Amazing! Success from this user!
Thank you so much!
Many thanks for this successful root of the VS990.
There could have been no better way to log in to XDA after what was the longest hiatus I've taken from checking in on root than to have immediately seen the "paying and praying" for root thread reopened and some 11+ pages of discourse including the unexpected announcement ( very humbly also) that root was achieved.
I almost shat, coming from a long year tied to the Verizon Note 4 which was a great phone except being tied to Verizon keeping it mostly locked up and with temp root not fully doing it for me making it frustrating. I moved on to the V10 thinking foolishly that root would be a lock being that I had seen many LG models rooted ( yes poor ASSumption I know this). Then when finding out that I was wrong, though not surprised, I was seriously disappointed and discouraged with the possible rooting of this phone.
Today however I am pleasantly surprised, very grateful, more than impressed and happy to follow through on my pledge for root.
PayPal money on its way to you tungkick. Thank you for sharing your hard work.

Downgrading from 47A to 10B, LG Flash Tool stops at 4%

Just got a refurb g3 off of amazon with 47a installed. I'm following this guide to download and after that I was going to use this method to finish the root.
Everything seems to be setup correctly, but after "Verifying phone connection..." the flash tool gets to 4% and then goes to this screen

On stock 35B and higher (without having flashed one of @xdabbeb 's Bootstacks) you can only flash the 35B or higher KDZ.
To downgrade to 10B you have to flash the 10B TOT using the .DLL that's extracted from the 35B KDZ. Both the TOT and .DLL are available at my Android File Host section linked to at the bottom of the first post of that first thread you linked to.
Google "TOT Method" and just use any devices instructions but use the TOT and .DLL I referenced. I get my drivers straight from LG's website under Support / Software for the VS985.
Read this thread. It should help you.

You're welcome! I believe @annoyingduck had moved onto another device quite a while ago before it became restricted for what KDZs you can flash from which versions of the stock ROM, and it was only when I requested that he updated it with the link to my Android File Host section since I didn't want to create another thread for KDZs. The information's out there in a hundred or more other threads, but none of them are exactly guides, so you have to kind of already know to look for them.
Good luck!

Just to make sure, after I flash 10b via TOT I then need to follow these steps, correct?
After TOT:

Install TWRP app from play store and flash TWRP
Flash whatever rom and its required bootstack in TWRP

No sweat!
1b. Run Stump and use the brute force option.
1c. Reboot. It'll reboot and then reboot again on it's own as part of the root process.
1d. Install SuperSU either from Play Store or can sideload it.
Otherwise, yes all correct. Depending on what ROM you flash, you can flash an optional debloat zip (linked in @xdabbeb 's stock 47A firmware thread in post #3, or in my signature below).

The official post is the number #836 available in this thread at this page : https://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-mini/development/unofficial-lineageos-14-1-t3529585/page84
INSTRUCTION: flash the twrp that @mobiusm give you with the rom, then flash the rom. If you want to flash anything else you have to flash an official twrp ( 3.1.x or older) then flash ( for example gapps or magisk).
[UPDATE]
I am not able to install apps or apk from Google play or any other site.
Installation from sdcard give errors.
The Low Ram Enabler flashable ( Android go) seems that works, however i'm not 100% sure. The flash is possible if you check my guide above. The file.zip is available in the attached files section.

Well it should be noted, that this is really only the first unstable alpha version.

I had similar problem, with first, and second install. Those were for testing, so I flashed different su packages, attempted magisk installation.
Currently only thing I have installed is open gapps pico.
It works for me for every day use, haven't had any problems with it, no restarts, or problems with waking phone up, no WiFi or mobile signal loss, or sudden restarts. Battery lasts up to 2 days.
Yeah the stability is good for the stage of this rom. The problem you said about magisk is because after the flash you need to install the apk. However this is impossible at the moment so i think that the root is only obtainable with the superuser flashable
That is why I gave up on su, couldn't make it work. Also every attempt caused instability, no matter which su package it was. And at the end I don't need it that much, just on a few occasions. Only every day use for it was updating hosts file with new blocklist.
Purple Screen + TWRP Version
I'm trying to install 8.1 from 4.4.1 is not possible from the purple screen, only works from 7.1? Qula version of TWRP and the right one and where it does not find it. Thank you
You can use only one special version of twrp that can be downloaded at the download link that i gave in the post.

Question Pretty much confused (Need Help)

Hi guys, after coming from Xiaomi Mi6 I have now Pixel 6, I m aware of flashing running adb and unlock Bootloader, but here I see three threads and m so confused what to do, Regarding unlock bootloader and root twrp safety net etc, so the real question is why there are so many files? TWRP is not available for the Pixel 6 series, so forget about TWRP.
The one and only page you should need to do whatever you need to is at https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ootloader-update-root-pass-safetynet.4356233/ . You literally only need ADB, Magisk, and a copy of the boot image to be able to root your device. The Displax variant of the safetynet fix is optional, but if you intend on using your device for tap-to-pay you'll need to install it.
Flashing tools like the Pixel Flash Tool may simplify the process, but you would be best served learning to do it manually first so you can see and understand what is happening in real time. After you see how an update processes you can, if comfortable, go ahead and use a flashing tool.
What is update and Root Automatic OTA??
Further I see Update and Root Factory Image??
Do I need to do all those Steps mentioned? Are they necessary? Except the safety net part which u have already told...

Update and root factory / OTA images only applies if you have already rooted, thus the word "update". And yes, all the steps given are required. Read them, digest them, and read them again. That thread will save you a lot of headaches.

Yes I will try... Many devices have simple steps tp follow... I guess... Although there is no twrp then how come roms are flashing via adb if there no recovery..

As for the Pixel Flash Tool, it is a tool developed by Google to simplify the process of flashing firmware and images on Pixel devices. It can be used to install stock firmware, unlock the bootloader, and flash custom images like TWRP. However, it's important to note that using the Pixel Flash Tool may still require some knowledge and experience with Android modding, and it may not work for all devices or scenarios.

First, if you really are speaking on the tool Google develops, it is called Android Flash Tool, not "Pixel" -- no such thing; a simple Google search shows it. And it does not flash "custom images like TWRP", and requires just the basic "knowledge and experience with Android modding".
Second, there is a tool called PixelFlasher developed by badabing2003 (not Google), which does flash custom images (ROMs, patched [Magisk] boot images, both slots, etc.), and has further checks & protocols (using the version of platform-tools that does not have fatal bugs for Pixel 6+) which works on all Pixels.
I'm fairly certain whatever A.I. generated tool/service being used is simply combining the two "tools" as they are similar and apply/relate to similar devices....

In terms of the "initial root" and "master root image" files you mentioned, it's possible that these are custom rooting packages designed for your specific device or software version. However, it's difficult to say without more information or context. Similarly, the "update and root automatic" file may be an automated rooting package, but it's important to research and verify the source and compatibility of any files before using them.

Orange text is pretty clear showing this is an A.I. generated response; "more information or context"? The rest of us that has read this thread got what OP meant....
