Hello everyone i have a problem.
I got a bricked samsung galaxy s2 i9100.
I rooted it and flashed a recovery on it. Then i made a back-up off my stock firmware. And then flashed a rom on it. But i did not like it. So i decided to restore my back-up. Now the Problem comes my phone came in a bootloop so i decided the do a factory reset. But the i still was in bootloop. So i go back in recovery. But now i see my custom recovery was gone :-s My phone usb port was broke so i decided to buy an new usb port. So i could unbrick with odin. Yesterday i replaced the new connector port. But the connector still does not do anything at all. Is the a way to flash a custom recovery with stock recovery. Or firmware?
Thanks advance
Sorry for my bad English.

Sorry fella....it ain't as simple as just buying a new usb board......There are 4 versions of the board, and none of them are interchangeable.....you have to get the exact same version as the board you removed.....
Somewhere on your original board it'll say....
REV X.X (could be 1.2, 2.2, 2.3 or 2.4)
These numbers *have* to match with the new board.
In terms of recovering your phone....
Without the usb port, you only really have one option.....
Flash a custom recovery (like PhilZ) through the stock recovery, then flash your choice of custom rom......after that you *could* flash back to stock with mobile odin, but I'd advise you to get that port fixed before you do anything else.....

Thank you so much phillz recovery worked. My Phone is alive again

Hi, i`m a german and new here, so please be not so rigorous. I have my Galaxy s 2 for one or two months now and it worked fine all the time, but since last week my Wifi and blutooth dont work any more
Here are some pics:
can nobody help me?
Could you be more specific? Have you made any settings, rooted, installed a custom rom etc.? Anything that will make it easier to track down the problem.

i forgot to say, that i wanted to install a new costum rom, but it failed, and when i flashed back, it happend (
now sometimes my bluetooth turns on, but i cannot find any devices, and they don´t find me
do you think, its a hardware error, because i flashed back a couple of times now. the best thing is my guarantee is no away, because i flashed custem roms
Okay, so I have created a different thread about No rom manager when i first got my phone. I have found the update.zip file in the noob thread. But now, I have done everything, & I flashed a rom. I would like to flash a different rom to check it out, when I do, It says something about the script being too old or something? any help? I haven't encountered this in my other phones (g2, hd2, mytouch 3g)
More info would help (what rom are you on and which one you are trying to flash) but it sounds like you are on cm7/miui/ics and are trying to flash a touch whiz rom which in that case you have to odin back to stock jfd first.

I'm not new to rooting or installing custom roms but my note has me stumped. I followed all the guidelines with rooting and after flashing a new kernal through odin my phone would be stuck at the samsung splash screen. Figuring I bricked It I flashed the stock one and now my phone wont get past the Telus splash screen.
Did I cook this phone? I had no issues with my S and S2 before this I cant figure it out.

You are ok. That is a bad flash. Just reread the instructions then carefully redo your work.
Ranger is correct....
You are soft bricked ....and simply need a good cleaning and reflash ...g
Yeah try a good factory reset

You need to install a custom recovery to install a custom Rom

I'm using clockwork touch but when I select roms from my sdcard it gives me an error and fail.
Is CWM touch the latest version ??
You may need to update your recovery.
I'm running TWRP 2.3.2.3 and have no flashing issues ...g
Use twrp recovery! The cwm touch found in a lot of these root threads is out of date and will give you errors! I got stuck in boot loop too and had to do this!

Did u update via kies or odin?
If u used a firmware and flashed via odin, please try another firmware.
Over this try to do a factory reset after u flashed the FW.

Well your phone is i9100g... You sure you flashed ROM of i9100g and not of galaxy s2 i9100...coz many people make that mistake..
Post this in the i9100g...idk how much we can help you with this..
Anyways, try factory resetting the phone...if no luck take it to Samsung customer care...it can be a hardware problem. ..
And ya, which ROM are you flashing? The official stock ROM or custom ROM?
Custom ROM do have many bugs and vary from phone to phone. .. Try going to stick for one and check if problem is still there. .
Press thanx if I helped...

cannot post on i9100g dev becoz my post still under 10...
im sure i flash the right rom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679636
ya..done factory reset but still got the problem...
like i said before..the touchscreen work fine if i plugin charger or connect usb to pc/laptop...
i dont think it becoz hardware problem since it work perfect on stock GB, stock ICS, aokp, CM and 4-5 other custom ROM...
can it becoz of battery? i use 1650mah...i have try 1500mah and touch screen getting more worst...
i still cant find any solution for my phone..
already try many method like
- using re-partion on odin with pit file
- format data, system, cache, emmc
- wipe data/factory reset/dalvic cache
- flash using odin/cwm
- root/unroot
after done all above..touch screen laggy and still make dash line on drawing...
after my last post...i have try most rom on Galaxy S II I9100G Android Development Section and my touchscreen on all rom are working perfect except official stock JB or custom rom base on stock JB...
forgot to mention that the day on my 1st time installing stock JB i accidently flash Galaxy tab 2 p3100 firmware and got softbrick
but successfuly unbrick then done flashing stock JB...dunno if this incident can damage my phone...
or is other way to make FULL FORMAT internal SD? to make sure the file that i accidently flash completely remove...

you could try Blazing Kernel, it can be flashed via stock recovery. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2113545.
Or you could also flash original GB and upgrade to JB either through OTA or KIES.

I have tried that two methods, Flashing GB (everything works great), flashing ICS (everything works great too), and then JB trough OTA and the touch screen doesnt work properly. I have tried the last Blazing Kernel too without success.
Thanks for the help.
Any ideas?
Try stock kernel. Customs aren't ready yet.

Dosent work either. :/
We have the same problem dude, touch screen not working properly after stock jb (xef) flash but working flawlessly when phone is plugged. I can't have a custom rom above 4.2.1, else I have the problem. Now I'm on CM10.1 4.2.1 and can't leave it because of this, the official rom I want is the official.
Did you got the screen of your phone replaced ? Because mine was and I was wondering if it was that.

Not sure if it was replaced because I bought it used on ebay.
But are you using CM10.1 4.2.1 without touch screen problems? Can you tell me the date of the release so I can try to flash my phone with that ROM?
Thanks
Yeah without touch screen problem. It's 20130213 nightly

Hello all,
I tried to put omnirom on my galaxy s3 i9305, but I got status 7.
So I removed the lines (getprop...), but still didn't work.
Than I flashed Perseus kernel on it, because I thought that this will be necessary. I'm not sure if this is the fault, but now the touchscreen doesn't work anymore.
I installed Samsung stock rom but touchscreen still doesn't work.
In stock rom, isn't there also the kernel integrated?
Must I search now for Samsung original kernel?
And why I am not able to install omnirom, although one time it worked.
What version of TWRP do I need to install omnirom with android 4.4.2 and where do I get it from?
Thank you very much for your answers.

the problem I've seen the recovery or flash a kernel that is not the model of mobile. are you sure the kernel or the recovery was for your model?
Well,
I was wondering, too, why I get status 7 which means wrong model.
But in the back of the phone it says i9305, and I downloaded kernel and omnirom for the i9305.
Do I need a new kernel anyway?

You are in the wrong forum this is not I9305 q&A
Does that mean you have flashed firmware for I9300???
Any way you now need a paid for service repair .
No, I flashed for i9305.
But there are stock kernels in Internet available, can't I use one of them?
Sorry for the wrong forum.

i've read a couple of days ago that a guy flashed a galaxy note 2 kernel on his i9300 and the same thing happened to him too. his touchscreen wasn't working although he flashed an original rom via odin. only the physical buttons were working. the note 2 kernel he flashed fried something on the mobo so he had to change his touchscreen.
you can download and flash an original rom (they have stock kernels built into them).
good luck
Yes usual is fried digitizer .
