Help me install apks on this (locked down) Android tv Box. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello. Sometime ago I acquired a TV box with Android, but to my dismay, it's (almost) completely locked down, I can only download applications from it's own store. Tried also reasoning with the dev team of this product, but to no avail. The box is question has two lateral USB (Type A) ports labelled "Mouse" and "OTG". Here are its specs:
Processor: Rockchip RK3066 Dual-Core 1.6GHz Cortex A9
GPU: Mali 400 Dual Core
RAM: 1GB DDR3 712Mhz
Flash: 8GB MLC NAND Flash
Android ver: 4.4.3
Well, even through it's locked down, it comes with Kodi so I can still launch installed applications (even the ones they've hidden) such as the Configuration Menu and etc from Kodi's own application launcher, launch command line applications through Advanced Launcher, access the File Manager within Kodi and mount/dismount USB devices (actually they're auto mounted).
I'll provide more stuff about the device if necessary, please help me sideload apks on it.

[Q] How to root Aocos N19 Tablet

Hey Guys,
I have searched everywhere and can't seem to find a root for this device: Aocos N19 9.7 inch Android 2.3 Tablet PC Capacitive Telechips TCC8803 Cortex A8 Flash1.2GHZ 512MB/8GB
From the "About" page in the settings it has this information:
Model Number: HW type: MT8801_IL_8
Android Version: 2.3.3
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-tcc
Build number: V2.323
I have tried Gingerbreak (left it for over 30min in rooting screen) and SuperOneClick (remains in waiting for device, have tried troubleshooting such as turning on and off Debugging Mode".
I have scoured over "unofficial CyanogenMod7 port for RK2818 tablets" however it says that this will likely brick you device if it is not listed, which this device is not. I hope I don't sound like a noob here, and any help will be appreciated.

try this
try with the attached superoneclick in case you can't find one from the net.
Use super manager app for root access.
Cheers.
Good luck
To root your aocos n19, you need:
-VTC Driver v4.01 for 2000 XP.exe (to install driver of your device);
-and SuperOneClick (personaly, I did it with superoneclick v2.3.3);
-your aocos n19, a PC with windows 2000 or XP and a USB cable.
First, run "VTC Driver v4.01 for2000 XP.exe" to install the driver.
Then plug your aocos n19.
Finally run superoneclick and press "root" button.
Your aocos n19 is now rooted, and if you want you can unroot it with superoneclick.

Android OS on a Desktop Computer

Hello, well I've been trying to see if I'm able to install an Android OS on a Desktop Computer. I'm sort of new, at working with Android OS and script. So I have a spare desktop computer from dell. Dell Vostro 410 it is, the system is based on Intel Core 2 Quad processors and is equipped with a 800MHz system memory and (up to six) 512MB graphics card(s). I have 2 ram cards in both 512 MB.
The compatible one I can find is eeepc, and at that it's glitching.
Is there a way to install a different rom, but still be android?
How do I really tamper with the kernel?
Is there some easier way to messed with the OS?

[Q] Root Colorfly i803Q1 tablet

Hi,
I've tried a lot of applications and scripts to root my chinese tablet, but I didn't succeed. Maybe because it's not created for my android version.
Using adb and adb (root) shell I could do some things like disabling the Phone applications (renaming them in the folder /system/app) so I think I have just a little of root permissions and it must not be impossible to get a full root.
The (important) specifications are:
Operating System Android 4.2.2
Processor Model Intel Z3735E
Number of Cores Quad Core
Processor Clock Speed 1.33 GHz
RAM 1GB
Bootloader: Droidboot Provision OS 2.0
Does anyone have a solution to root my device?
Thanks in advance.

Bell is shipping me one of their streamer devices and looking at the specs, its just a repackaged ADT-3 device with a custom Bell ROM on it.
Since all my TVs already have capable devices attached to them, this frees up the streamer for exploration and fun. I was wondering if anybody has managed to unlock the bootloader and load custom roms to this device?

Hello
They send me one for free and i tried installing ADT-3 Stock ROM after reading Bell Terms of service and ended up bricking it
I tried using Amlogic tools to unbrick it but i unfortunately the board is Password protected since the Frederic exploit.
I have currently wiped all partitions to make the processor (Amlogic S905Y2) look for SD and USB Boot devices. which it is now doing.
Serial output:

I'm currently searching docs / forums to read to get a better grasp on the required images and bins to make a Bootable USB for this device.
If you are wondering how i'am getting USB Drive on that device i'am just using a OTG Converter and using an modified HUB To inject current in the device, you can basically achieve the same by cutting the USB Lead and injecting voltage.
I will keep this thread up to date if manage to unbrick it a flash custom ROM on the device.

The ADT-3 uses an unencrypted bootloader. The Bell Streamer doesn't. The device is looking for the encrypted Bell Streamer bootloader, but in this bootrom mode it will only look on the emmc or a sd card. As far as I know, at this stage, it can't boot directly from USB. If you discover otherwise, please let us all know.
The reference to USB that you see in the above string is for a bootrom worldcup usb connection. As you noted, this mode can't be used for much if it is password protected.
