I have a problem in the android 5.1.1 custom rom wifi issue so here is the problem
1) If i use twrp recovery mode and flash the custom rom the wifi wont connect instead of connecting it tells obtaining wifi ip address failed but can connect in static mode but thats not useful for every place i cant do that
2) if i use cwm recovery mode and flash the custom rom the wifi works perfectly.. but every reboot the wifi passwords are forgeten i changed in the build.prop ro.securestorage.support=false but still same wifi password forgets
3) flash stock rom and then connect to wifi.. the wifi is perfect in connecting and after reboot also wifi password wont forget
Note:- I flashed just stock deodex and odex rom its having same issue
And now My device is Note 3 neo SM-n750 Exynos (3g)
and there is one more device Note 3 neo sm-n7505 exynos (4g)
I know its recovery problem
now in kitkat there was not a single problem in wifi.. if used twrp or cwm of sm-n7505 no problems.. and sm-n750 dont have twrp or cwm and now in 5.1.1 i am facing the problems with wifi.. and sm-n7505 is not having any issue regrading wifi password lost or wifi connection issue of the same custom rom i am using so can any one tell me a suitable solution
to fix up this mess in twrp or cwm recovery
I am waiting for suitable solution as this problem is not solved if solved i will delete this thread

Trying to get help about Samsung Galaxy S3 unrooted with custum rom (Dirty Unicorns 4.4.4 KitKat) , after installing a custom kitkat rom my wifi seems to be not working.
Finding my own home wifi station pressing to connect it shows: Connecting... and then Saved. I cant connect. Singal from full went only to 1 ! Even when i'm standing near my router.
Sometimes it shows "Obtaining IP Adress..." but still gets back to "Saved" .
Any solutions? Waiting.
EDIT: Done factory and cache wipes! Nothing changed.
if you got a custom rom ,then your phone is rooted . My advice is when you flash a rom read something about it what is good and what is not .
Try to flash a stock rom or other rom to check your wi fi connection ( make sure isn't your wifi router also) if problem persist then is related to hardware.
Actually i read what is good and bad. But in this custom rom doesnt anyone said about wifi connections anything..

And don't have any problems. Currently in home i connecting to linksys, wifi mode is N. I visiting my mom it has router d-link 610, i suppose it has G wireless mode, so the question is following, when i scan any wifi connection, i cannot see her router, however all other devices perfectly see, Note 3, notebook with N mode. And i cannot understand why it's happening, may i should reflash "some" module, so it started to work.
It's currently blank, even if i put manualy SSID and password.

Wipe data & cache. Reflash Kernel & ROM.
If still doesn't work please provide dmesg and logcat

Thank you for answer, after some experiments i flashed bad rom (don't ask my how about 2 years of experience), hopefully fastboot still worked, i reflashed nemesis kernel, and after it , throught adb iterface i pulled to phone corrected rom. However, i decided to return to stock rom with flashtool, after all long time of manipulation of my xperia (about 1 year),
And now it's working almost great, however i'm still finding a good rom.

So i downloded the latest builD for this phone , i wiped all my data from my phone ... i installed it and with some gapps but now i cant even detect my wifi and my sim .
Furthermore i installed samsung galaxy express 2 stock rom with ODIN and still the same issue (((((

Im having a strnge issues these days ..i have notice wifi acting weird on custom roms /custom kernels. On stock miui wifi connects perfectly when ever i move to other custom roms im facing bit odd things to my wifi ..it just shows saved not connected .in official RR it does . even if i flash any kernel wifi having that issue .i try to flash persist .img from dev rom ..prob still is there. Any idea how to fix my wifi.

I allways do clean flash
restart your modem. your wifi ssid is hidden ?
Use static connections, in advanced settings of your wifi setup. I use static, somehow dhcp does not work for me

I'm running miui.eu ROM ... latest weekly .... been running for a few months now ...
recently, my Wifi refuses to turn on ... the mac address shows 02:00:00......
as a temp workaround, I need to activate airplane mode, turn on wifi , reboot , connect to the wifi AP and then turn off Airplane mode ....
I searched a lot but all threads are for different devices and none for the Poco F1 ...
Could someone please guide me in the right direction ?
I instaled miui eu 9.4.18 and then dirty flashed the newest one mini eu and wifi now is ok

On OP3, I also had no wifi all of a sudden. If I turn on wifi, it will automatically switch back to off in a couple of seconds. A dirty flash of the ROM solved it. Try it though it is a different device.
