Hello, when i'm playing music (Poweramp) to external amplifier (also happens with some car AUX input) and I put the volume to maximum allowed, the music stops during 1 second and starts playing again but with NORMAL VOLUME instead last used maximum volume; notification bar also shows "headphone disconnecred............headphone connected". Anyone with this stupid "bug"? What causes it?
Maybe greenify or if you are using cover on your device it may block some space between jack

Not using greenify, I tried without cover and also happens. I think it's software related thing; also checked and it happens only when volume is at maximum. May be because overvoltage in jack output? The sensation is the same as if you unplug the jack and replug it during music playback

Had my 3d 2 days now and when I listen to music on the stock music player it skips songs and fast forwards on its own. It does this when screen is active or on standby and its driving me crazy. If I pick the phone up its like moving the phone makes it go haywire. But it also does it if left untouched. Is anyone else having this problem?

I had one random reboot. And skip songs.
enjoying my EVO 3D. But root would be nice.
Mine has been doing this too. But only with something in the 3.5 jack. Driving me nuts! OP, did you come to any conclusion? Like having to get a replacement or anything?

I would like to know more about this too
If you don't have an Evo3d well you don't have an Evo3d
if its skipping songs then the interference from the headphone jack is making the phone think you have something like iphone headphones that can control music, download headset blocker from the market and it will stop
it wont stop the music from stopping when the headphone jack gets unplugged though
This problem only seems to happen if your phone shows a headset icon on the top. If it shows a headphone icon, you should be ok.
If it shows the headset icon, just unplug it and replug it in again.
download the block headset app from the marketplace. you're welcome!

Mine loses it's mind every time I plug something into that jack. And yes, Headset Blocker works. Make sure the widget is in color, indicating the blocker is turned on. Then it'll block the incoming control signals that are causing the problem.
Mike
I have DoubleTwist installed and I turned off the Headset controls in the settings and I seem to be good for now.
Edit: Well, slightly better.
I`ve a problem with listening to music on my L9. I use Poweramp player. When I set the volume full to show the information about a fact that is not healthy blah blah blah ... and after a few minutes of listening to disconnect the headphones. Plug it in again, I set the volume almost full, and again the same problem. Headphones work fine. In winamp I do not have this problem. How do I fix this?

Ahh, I am guessing English is not your primary language. This may be bad headphones, bad application, or a bad phone. Try another pair of headphones and try the youtube app.

No, it`s not. I tried on other headphones and it is still the same. At maximum volume phone stops see headphones-I do not know how to precisely call it. Just disconnects. On the polish android forum I've seen that not only I have a problem with that, however, no one can find a solution.

AW: Problem with music listening
Headphones should work, also the crappy Headset coming with the phone.
I encountered similar problems with a headset and a multimedia headphone adapter for Symbian phones.

First thing first.....How is built-in LG Music is doing? Is it working fine with speakers and headphones, etc?
Maybe he's talking about the volume limiter? Whenever you plug in something to the headphone jack, it pops up a notice about restricting volume and/or listening to volume at high levels can cause injury. I know that when plugging the L9 into something as a line-out, I have to crank the volume to max AND crank the volume of whatever speaker/device it's attached to.
For comparison, running the same app and music via a bluetooth media device the volume is equal to that of my iPhone. AKA: it sounds "normal." So it's using some sort of volume limiter on the 3.5mm out as far as I can tell, and I haven't been able to find a way around it. Though I haven't been looking too hard.
There´s this auto-volume-down mechanism, which allows to re-up the volume to max afterwards. But also the phone (P760) seems to follow the EU regulation, which is obligatory for toys only. Volume set to max is still not loud enough for me, as with my Nokia phones. But with Poweramp and Music Folder Player you can get a bit of extra juice, which is sufficient to me. For rooted devices there´s an app to directly control the Linux ALSA sound interface, but I won´t need that.
Hey, is this only me or everybody is facing such issue
Whenever i play mp3 files in lg music player or even power amp in full volume, after some seconds volume automatically turns down displaying a dilogue for very short interval "media volume automatically turned down to protect your ears"
Because of this i am unable to enjoy mp3 files in full volume.
Do anybody has a fix for this?

Did you try turning it back up after the phone turned it down? Usually that message comes up the second I start playing music but I just turn the volume up after and it works fine

Yes, for some/very less tracks it works but for some it does not and always keeps on turning down( may be for those tracks whose default volume is just ok or quite high) but its really annoying to have the same problem in ligit songs.
What i have noticed is that in this handset the volume is already very low, so whats the point of Lg worring about hearing damage and trolling us

As I manage my mp3s in folders, I use Poweramp and Music Folder Player, which both have a sound engine capable of squeezing sufficient extra volume out of the phone.
You can control volume with the app "Headset Button Controller". However , JB reserves the long button press, so i configured a quadruple click for "volume up" when discovering this negative aspect of the JB upgrade.

Well, that too didn't worked for me. I wonder why its only me who is facing such problem, and nobody else is worried about it.
I am facing this in both mentioned player also however they are really capable of boosting the volume, BUT LG is far more capable of decreasing it.

Hey,
im facing the exact same Problem. Just flashed CM 11 to my LG lp p760 (beacuse CM 10.2 had the same problem) and still have to deal with it. I tried Poweramp and Appolo.
Phone Speakers/Headset are working just fine but as soon as i plug in my Aux-Stereo-Speakers the volume just goes down to about 50% but the display says its already on full volume and i cant turn it up.
CM 11 has in "kernel settings" the option to activate "headset boost" and if i activate it, the volume is very nice and loud but after like 30 seconds it turns down to even less than before, like 30% of the volume i want. i can then deactivate and activate the boost again to reach 100% volume but it keeps going down. Sometimes the Mediaplayer even crashes and the Music wont come out of the Aux-Speakrrs but the Handy instead.
Does anybody know any solutions? The problem did not occur without a Custom Rom.
Hi Everyone,
I wish that I am posting it in right forums. If not, Please move it to suitable Forums.
I had this problem from the day I bought L9. That is, I faced this problem in Stock ROM, and now I am facing it on CM ROM too.
But, after Googling this problem, I think that this seems to be a very critical problem with all LG Optimus L9 Users, as all the given below Threads actually point to the same problem:
Audio problem headphones
Problem with music listening
Issue with music player
May be these people were not able to explain the problem very well, so I am posting it again. I wish that I would explain at my best.
Problem?
We know that there is a Safe Volume Level in our Android, and it gives some sort of warning like Raise Volume above Safe Level? This may cause hearing problem! Blah Blah!, when we try to increase the volume to Max Level.
When I try to increase the volume to Max level, and suddenly when very High Beats(you know what I mean) come in the music of the song, the Music Player pauses. The Connection of the earphone gets detached from the phone, and it plays the Song in Loudspeaker of phone, when I Resume the song.
So, I have to unplug the Earphone and Plug it again to Listen to it.
This Problem happens with:
My LG Earphones
Other small earphones
My Car Music Player when using an AUX Cable
Music Player at my Gym
This Problem does not happens with:
Steelseries Siberia Headphones
Its so strange to me that the problem is with all earphones, but not with this Gaming Headphone which I have. I just increase the Volume to Max level and it keeps playing it and the beats are awesome with this headphone.
Is the problem related to L9's Hardware? Or there is something with the Output of Audio? I don't know! I am a Noob with this!
So, I request for help as I am, and maybe some other people too, are sick of this problem. PLEASE HELP!
Thank You
Best Regards
no prob with me
I am using skullcandy headphones
and pls upload the song so that i can test that as well

It happens with any song, at maximum volume.
Is it something related to Output of Audio? Maybe it does not give problem with Good Heaphones like your SkullCandy and my gaming headphone of SteelSeries.
Maybe these headphones are able to process very High level sound? Or something else? There must be some solution!
Thanks for your reply!

Although, I can see 90% change with Viper4Android, but still at some extent, when I tried to increase the volume to Max, the music is getting stopped in some high beats song.
FYI, currently I have enabled these settings in Headset settings menu of Viper4Android:
In Master Power, V4A FX is Enabled
In Fidelity control, Viper BASS is enabled
What settings I can alter for more advantage?
Thanks for your help brother :good:

Hi everyone,
I'm a user of the Redmi Note 3 Pro (Snapdragon variant) and I'm facing a strange issue with the audio jack.
If I connect a headphone rapidly, the phone recognizes it and everything goes perfectly. But, if I connect it slowly, like in 2 steps (first I insert half the connector, and then I push it all the way in), it is recognized (and the headset icon appears) only when it is halfway in, and after pushing it, the icon in the statusbar disappears. The music plays perfectly from the headphones, but programs like Viper4Android misbehave, and leave the output set to Phone Speaker.
I'm not sure if this is a hardware or software problem, because now I'm on CM13, and the same happened even on MIUI, but the music plays from the headphones anyway in both the cases.
Tell me if it happens also for some of you.
Thanks

Happens to me too, so it's definitely not an isolated issue.
It happens to me too. I push the headphone in rapidly and its not recognized. If I push it in halfway its recognized as headphones but sound is quiet. If I push it in fully it gets loud but the media pauses and it isn't recognized as headphones anymore.
