Hi everyone,
I'm having issues with my LG G3 D855! It was originally locked to Optus in Australia, but I have recently wanted to root it. To do this I found I had to downgrade to Android 4.4, which I did successfully using the LG Flash Tool. It worked well, but it messed up at the same time. I actually flashed the European version of 4.4 over instead of an Optus version. As someone with little experience in the field, the European/International version seemed the right one since there was no Australian versions on the site. LG wouldn't replace the firmware unless I coughed up $350, seeing as I voided the warranty. After doing further digging online I found a Telstra version of the LG G3 firmware but the phone repair shop said that flashing a Telstra version over would lock it to telstra and that I would require a Telstra sim to use the phone! At the moment my phone is functioning okay, I'm able to text, call and mobile data and wifi both work. The issue is the missing Australian apps and the many European ones that aren't mine. Also out of curiosity, has the European G3 received 5.0 yet? It didn't show up in the software updater for me. Looking for any advice I can get with this... If you have any further questions about the functionality I will reply as soon as I can.
Thanks!

This worked and I could backup my files and delete before getting my replacement and sending this one off. I don't know how it will work long-term but if you just need to get your files - try it! Watch the whole video. I can't paste a URL yet but I will try to put all the info here for you to find it. YouTube title: LG G4 bootloop temporary fix to back up data successfully. It's by a "Fayloyan" - August 1, 2016.

Hi there,
I tried different versions to test Nougat for H860 Dual SIM model.
H860N HK : Phone runs Okay but networks are unstable (at least for my African Model).
H860 TW : Network is way better and I got Smart Doctor . But I have an NTCode Error on every boot.
Anyone got a link to try H860 AME version ? Anyone got an LG Bridge update ?
Tia
Wait, you got a Taiwan version of nougat.??
Yep
So wait, it exists? I was researching both reddit and all the XDA forums to see if the H860 Taiwan nougar firmware was released, and I havent seen no topic about it!

There's a downloadable link just here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/help/ota-twn-devices-question-t3510207
You must use LGUP and the H860 HK guide thread to update
How is this confirmed to be the Taiwan version?
Nevermind
RIP
I have a SEA build? That's too confusing
Man thats ****ed
LG H860 AME - No bueno
You'd expect the international variants to be one of the first to get the Nougat update, but nothing on LG Bridge or OTA yet.
Today Turkish H860s have been getting their updates finally, hope ours comes soon!
Anyone with a Middle East or African update?
Hi,
it is possible to debrand H930 with Polish Plus firmware? My firmware is: V10e-260-01 - can i reflash open europe firmware - i found files: H93010f_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0925.kdz and H93010v_00_OPEN_EU_OP_1120.kdz which one will be suitable for this operation?
Flash the newest open: H93010v_00_OPEN_EU_OP_1120.kdz
It will remove all carrier apps and boot/power off splash animations if you have it.
I've done it on my Italian H930 TIM carrier branded and it got rid of the above.
You do not need to unlock bootloader to do this. Use Uppercut + LG UP trick.
You also do not have to wipe all your data, mine works just fine without any wiping.
I done it as you described but now in version i see: 10v-260-01 - its looks like branded but there is not brand - why version is with carrier number?
And LG Bridge as repair downloads branded firmware... so its not worked.
But splas screen changed from branded to LG Generic... strange...

Having troubles understanding what you're saying.
You say that carrier's splash screen is gone and carrier's apps are gone then everything worked as it was supposed to.
Why did you use LG's repair? Because firmware number is wrong?
Ok, lets try less chaotic
Firmware upgraded with LGUP and kdz file - splash screen looks like original firmware but in firmware version i see firmware correct but with extension -260-01 like branded...
When i try to check LG bridge recognise as branded and try to download branded firmware too.

Ah yeah I understand now, you want to get rid of the MCC and MNC code which in your case is 260 - Poland, 01 - Plus.
I don't think there's a known way to remove that..yet. Maybe some kind of dial code exists but I'm unaware.
You will still receive OTA and the branding will never come back so I don't think you should worry about it too much.
Edit: Found this thread for LG G5 https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/cust-error-solution-t3507311
It might work for us too, but you need to be rooted. Haven't tried myself yet. Secret menu code for V30 H930 is *#546368#*930#

Afaik H930G is just H930 with extra storage so it should theoretically work...
Maybe someone with more experience will help you.

I have the same question here, can someone with more experience or with the actual device H930G confirm this?
Since H930 models are only 64gb variants, I wonder if their firmware will work with H930G V30+ 128GB.
Thank you!
I have the same question. Has someone tried to flash the H930 firmware on a H930G (version with 128 GB)
Regards
Silver
I have a Sprint G5 (LS992) on which I was hoping to install LineageOS, however, looking at their website, I only see the H850 listed as supported. Does this mean I'm out of luck?
What if you try the frankestein concept that can be done to convert LS992 to LG H873?
You could try flashing canadian unlocked LG G5 H860 firmware into it. Then once you're Canadian flashing LG H850 and get LineageOS.
I have a LS992 i got from eBay for a buddy, but as it's a birthday present i would like not to risk bricking it.
Let us know if you ever got something done into your LS992.

This is my only phone at the moment, so I can't afford to risk something quite as roundabout.
