Hello,
I've been able to install twrp from dev section, however it was stuck in a middle of a screen and wouldn't let me unlock; I was able to fix unlock problem by upgrading to twrp 3.0, however the problem is still there. Any way to fix it? I have KIW-L21 model.

TWRP has not been approved for any other variant of the Honor 5X besides the KIW-L24. Some devs are trying to bring compatibility to more variants soon.

I attempted this LibreElec on my Xiaomi Mi Box 3(MDZ-16-AB) but I couldn't get it to boot maybe someone here can provide some instructions?
my plan was to flash TWRP and try to boot from there but the recent OTA update has blocked my root option until I find a way to bypass it without downgrading again
it seems to have good hardware but the support is really terrible Xiaomi doesn't provide any firmware images or support forum
Any progress on this issue?

I've tried all methods to root Htc 10 in lifestyle and wasn't successful. I hope there is some alternative in the future.
Also, as mentioned before, there is no interest in developing roms for this variant.
I ma still waiting for a solution for the HTC 10 Lifestyle too. All rooting options using TWRP are not working

This is more or less a mystery device. Not many know that it even exists. So, community support for this device will be very limited, if at all available. So far, there is no root exploit available for this device and the ones for original HTC 10 won't work for this model.
I decided not to buy this only because of lack of community support. Custom ROMs are not my cup of tea anymore. I am happy with what HTC offers but root is a must for me.
Actually S-OFF using Sunshine works!
I did that then I managed to root and changed Software to HTC Europe. I got rid of the annoying DCShare app bloatware that was downloading other apps randomly and opening too many pop-ups.

Can you be more specific? Is S-Off available for this model? How much is the asking price? After S-Off, how did you manage to root? Does this device have unofficial TWRP?
Yes, you can S-OFF with Sunshine (costs USD 25), then root using TWRP and Super SU.

In XDA-Developers every code builders finding solutions for Mate 9 but there is nothing for Mate 9 Pro (LON) versions.
I am opening this thread if someone give a hand to resolve downgrading problem Oreo Beta to Offical Nougat.
In Mate 9 forum @mankindtw build HWOTA 8 solution for MHA versions. Probably people will suggest me to use FunkyHuawei thing. But PayPal and BitCoin payment methods are not working in my country because of acredition at banking system.
So if any developer can support M9 Pro, it's too much appriciated for me.

It's possible while you are in stock recover via Firmware Finder. Just you need to find which stock ROM works for your device. None of Rollback Roms worked with me.
Yep! I'm also waiting for this! Hope a solution comes soon

Probably @mankindtw preparing a solution. He made the old HWOTA system and nowadays keeps silence. It's my guess, waiting for the official ROM release date.
@duraaraa I have a spesific problem. I'm using Huawei Mate 9 Pro. Bootloader unlocked, Oeminfo file belongs to orginal LON-AL00C00B225 but system running under Oreo 8.0.0.323 C636 log. It is sometimes running and sometimes don't.
I tried to downgrade Oreo to Nougat but it wasn't possible by Firmware Finder (special thanks to @gmanrainy for kind interest) or @mankindtw 's solutions. Probably file structure is different on Oreo, that could be reason for not downgrading.
Anyway, I know you are also moderating FunkyHuawei webpage. Is it possible for my situation to rebrand C636 and install LON-L29C636B235 version? Your payment methods not working in my country so I'l figure it out somehow. But I clearly wanted to learn if it is really work for me.

Yes, it's possible. But I would need to look into which package you need to install. You'd probably need to use FHRebrandTool to fix the branding correctly.

It's not problem to use it. I already downloaded tools but looking forward for your answer. Thank you.
I successfully rebranded my phone to LON-L29C636 via your stock OEMINFO file. Now phone is in bootloop.
I am really wondering that is FunkyHuawei able to install B235 Nougat firmware. I'll share all details who are looking solution to downgrade Oreo to Nougat.

You'd need to flash the Oreo firmware with FHUnbrickTool if it's not booting. Or you can re-unlock the bootloader. Probably issue is you used the tool with unlocked bootloader and a modified partition somewhere, I'm guessing.
You might also be able to use eRecovery method with Android O firmware. Downgrading to N will need to be done AFTER you have it booting in Android O.
I can't monitor this thread well, so you should email FH support if you need help.
EDIT: I apologize. I thought you were using FH tools. Apparently not. Yes, FH can fix your phone, to answer your question from before. There is no other solution for M9Pro right now.

I wrote an email on 23th but there is no answer from FHteam. Anyway my phone now is totally bricked. Opening in error mode. Error no 13 with no image. As you know I tried to downgrade from Oreo to Nougat.
Can we fix it and install the original Chinese edition on my phone? No problem if it would be Oreo or Nougat.
I'm going to try to buy credits from a different way, because PayPal is not working in my area.

Anyway thank you for your support.
@duraaraa I want to thank FunkyHuawei team for responding very fast this time. We were online together.
I think my device hard bricked and I'll try everything to access fastboot mode. I always have bootloop and error mode continously. Key combinations don't work. Only power key, but it doesn't shuts down the phone, it always restarts. I was really expecting a downgrade solution from @mankindtw like he did for Mate 9 before. But he didn't and now device is hard bricked. Before an Oreo installation they need to warn people about there is no return.
No problem. I believe we will save my M9 Pro together. Thank you in advance and I'll stay in touch.

I used Firmware Finder and it did the job. I downgraded from LON-L29C432B368 to LON-L29C432B229. You need to select FullOTA-MF-PV version.
before update it was told that through HISuite downgrade is possible from EMUI 9 to EMUI 8,but now there is no such options is found in HISuite, if anyone have a solution please share.
More than updated UI we need Google services

Hello everyone one. Somebody Help me pls
2 days ago I updated my honor 8x(jsn-l22) to android 9 and it was awful. I didn't like so I decided to downgrade to 8.1. I used hisuite to downgrade but the speed of downloading was really bad so I couldn't do it. So I gave it to someone to do it. He flashed the official (8.1.0 oreo) with some tool and when the flashing operation was in 99% it faced with an error user data part. And now my phone is running Android 8.1 but not correctly. The build number is changed to this
(chipset-miamic20 8.2.0.001(00X4)) and system UI is totally different and I don't know what to do now.
We tried to flash other versions but actually nothing is able to be flashed. It comes with error even at the first step of flashing. Every ROM we tried flashing all were unsuccessful and came with error.
Please if there is any way to fix this problem, let me know
The phone is stocked in this ROM.
Here is a screen shot of about device. I'm really disappointed HELP PLEASE.

Unfortunately Iran. I haven't find anything
I read a post about Hisuite in a Facebook group and successfully downgraded to Oreo. PIE was slow glitchy and battery was bad on it. Although i liked the look of it a lot. Specifically in some apps and the usual app switch transitions.
Re
Can you give us a link or maybe copy and paste the instructions here, for those of us not using facebook, please? Thank You
I don't have the screenshot of that post anymore i remember the steps.
You connect ur fone to laptop and connect hisuite. Backup ur fone via hisuite. Go to updates and click install older versions. There u ll find oreo update. Install that update. Do not disconnect ur fone in the process. And also, remove any lock passcode etc. After installation fone ll restart a couple of times ans voila. U r in heaven again ???

hello,
since the Honor 9 isnt getting any security fixes anymore what can we do
about the BlueFrag security hole?
https://www.andreafortuna.org/2020/...-critical-bluetooth-vulnerability-in-android/
It seems right now the only chance would be phussons android 10 GSI
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/how-to/android-10-t3993461
since there are no Custom Android 9 or 10 ROMS with latest Google Security Fixes - correct?
If someone figures out how to bypass the bootloader that huawei put, then we can start doing this roms thing, until then, unfortunate people like me are stuck at a locked bootloader.
Well i can technically do the whole process of flashing my board again using dc unlocker and then unlocking my bootloader while I'm at it, but that's too much hassle, man, plus you need some money to spare. It's not worth it anymore unless you absolutely have to, I'm just happy with a working phone lol

wouldnt it be free?

Nope, u have to pay for it, and yeah, i'm waiting for them to find an exploit on the security that huawei put in their gpu turbo update, bec. that's the root of our problem, i heard that if you downgrade to a non-turbo firmware, it's gonna brick your device, so might as well be patient until the guys at dc phoenix figures out how to read bootloader codes on emui9.
Also I saw that openkirin has hw buttons fixed, i think it's the capacitive buttons fix that people often lose bec. of installing twrp, so i'm excited for that day that we can install openkirin roms
