i have a motorola stock rom, stock kernel, ... didnt do any thing yet (just got it so wanna play around with motoblur first)
i install goto lockscreen one of the best lock screen
but i got problem i can only access to the 3 apps they have (msg, call, gmail) nothing else, if i slide it all the way to unlock it wont do anything
and if im from any of the 3 apps mentioned above, hitting home button will only lock my screen to goto lock screen, so i cannot do anything now
so is there anyway to work this out?
how about uninstall app without getting app manager?
or if in the end i cant do anything how do i factory reset without getting to the setting of the defy?
please help
edit: also cannot boot to recovery mode, wen ido volume down + power i c a green android and a !
When green android & ! comes up press volume up and down together.

i have a serious problem with my htc salsa. In past days i had installed Link2SD app in my device, Yesterday i'm moved some system applications sucha as calendar etc.. to my SDstorage via Link2SD. After that i'm just switch my phone. Now the phone just hangs at htc start up screen. I'm tried factory rest via HBoot. After that it boot in to home screen, but No menu items on it. The device is now only capable for receiving phone calls. What are the solutions over this condition..? Somebody told me installing new ROM fix the problem, How to install a new rom, and which rom i should install? Help me..
restore to stock rom
if you did not unlock your bootloader and never flash the customise rom ,, you can restore to stock rom in some easy way just as press some key and hold on few seconds maybe.
no menu display? you can use some pc android manager software to install some menu luncher to your phone. and then replace it

To Flash the JellyBean 4.2.1 you need to do the Following steps and follow the steps or you may mess up the touch panel as the last part is tricky:
So here is a complete guide to update Micromax Canvas HD A116 to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
REQUIREMENTS
• A Micromax Canvas HD A116 with usb data cable
• Please ensure that the battery of your device is above 75%, so you don't get sudden shut down during our process.
• Take full backup of your device.
• Backup data like SMS, contacts, whatsapp data etc etc., as these would be formatted during the process.
• Install the drivers of Micromax Canvas HD from the official Micromax website.
• Download Jelly Bean OS ROM & SP FLASH TOOLS, that you will flash.
• Take the backup of the Calibration with the help of Maui Meta (This is to be done incase you mess up any thing while the upgrade. restore the calibration taken before flashing into the newly flashed rom)
INSTALLATION:
1. Install drivers - Mobistel_Cynus_T1_Drivers_x86
2. Open SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1304.0.119
3. Select Scatter file from the downloaded ROM version 4.2.1 (extract downloaded file from winrar to different folder)and select all files.
4.Goto options->select usb & select USB Mode& DA Download All - & select force to High Speeds
5. Remove battery, Sim Cards & Memory Card
6. Press Firmware Upgrade (Don’t press download)
7. Insert USB data cable to PC & connect your phone & flash tool will detect your phone& downloadingstart automatically
8. When you see green circle than you are done.
9. Remove the cable from your phone insert battery & restart your phone.
10. It will take some times while re-starting and there will be TP Update popup. *
11. You are done& you can insert sim cards & memory card.
*NOTE:
After Flashing and updating from 4.1.2 to 4.2.1 there will be a TP UPDATE pop up which will update the TP automatically. So it is advised DON'T TOUCH PHONE's SCREEN ON FIRST BOOT (don't even press the OK button), LET THE TP UPGRADE DO HIS WORK,WAIT FOR AT LEAST 10-15 MINUTES BEFORE DOING ANYTHING.

thnk u 4 informing...can u plz tell me how to flash this rom because i am new to xda...i doesnt know anything about flashing and i cannot go to service centre because there is no service centre in my area...so i want to flash it at my own only...and what is imei breaking...will my imei break after flashing plz help...step by step..

Ok you need the below files :
SP flash tool preferably v3.13 as v3.12 gives errors
The official rom provided in above link
And your phone obviously
And micromax a116 usb drivers
Steps :
Install the drivers if you have driver issues check threads on that
After installing the drivers extract the firmware in the .rar file also extract sp tools and run as admin.
Select the scatter option and select the file MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt and hit ok
Check all options are checked n go to tools and see its forced to high speed
Now most important part hit upgrade firmware and not download it will search 4 your phone then connect your phone without sim and battery it will install it a green circle pops up means u r done.
Now start the phone and leave it aside as a TP update message will pop up now do not touch the phone or touch screen at that point even when it asks to hit OK dont touch it it will automatically update it leave the phone even if screen goes off hit the unlock button after 10 mins but dont touch thr screen
When it says upgrade completed then you are done ...
DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE FIRST REBOOT AS TP IS UPGRADING...IF YOU TOUCH IT EVEN TO PRESS OK IT WONT WORK AND PHONE WILL LOSE ITS TOUCH
After TP Upgrade completes it will look like the image in attachments then PRESS OK and you are done

I am replying to this thread on my phone itself and checking every thing i can.
The screen looks better and no lags on stock launcher
Speaker during calls works perfectly and we can move apps to external sd without issues
Camera has improved but i am not satisfied with photosphere and i need to test it further.
I also had a problem in messaging for idea sim to enable cell broadcast and that was same in previous version .. It may b Sim card fault as loop works fine..
Will be testing it all out tonight
Added screens for the Micromax OTA software updater showing system upto date
Also no issues with the net connection 3g or wifi
Gps locks location quickly too

Drivers are installed, but still my phone is not getting detected. it keeps searching. all other settings are as you explained. any suggestions?
Right now, USB debugging is on and charge only mode is selected.

So dumb of me, i had to remove battery and sim and then connect, i was trying to connect directly first, thought i should connect without battery once it gets detected when phone is one.
its working.. 60% now.. fingers crossed.

explain the exact process of how you did it .
phone should be switched off while upgrade battery should b removed
did you get green circle at the end of the upgrade ??
if upgrade from pc was successful and you started your phone.... did u touch the screen
because the phone does a TP upgrade i.e TOUCH PANEL and you should not touch the screen at any costs
if you did then it wont work

no need to insert battery my phone is working fine you can insert battery if you want i have posted my tried and tested method
flash it without battery green ring pops up n you are golden .
only tricky part is the TP Upgrade

On TP UPGRADE - I touched screen mistakenly and so I did flashed again now I get TP UPgrade screen with start button but unable to hit start button on touch screen. Should I need to click on start button on the popup? or does the system take care of it? Pls help me.

The TP Upgrade welcome screen stays for almost 20 minutes without any activity

I followed the procedure properly.. Removed batter and sim and connected device to SP tool. It started downloading automatically and that green circle came up saying update successful.
After that turned on my phone, TP update pop up came up in no time.... suddenly one more pop up on screen came saying update failed ( i think it said firmware update failed ). Later i selected OK ( may be this is where it went wront, the TP update was still there in background ). Later i turned on mobile, it will come stuck in welcome screen for me to select language, touch , softkeys nothing works..
I tried same procedure again, also tried old roms.... but no luck, that TP upgrade pop up never came again and phone will always get stuck waiting for me to select language.
Any suggestion..
Also used Maui Meta to download parameters to phone, it dint work out too

Im also on exactly same state. Going to try flashing 4.1.2 official firmware tomorrow.

tried that too.. dint work.. TP is broken now.. need that TP upgrade somehow.. or calibration of screen is needed , unfortunately that is also not working for me.

I installed multiple times now.. not getting that TP upgrade. I dont think my phone will ever get any better without that TP upgrade.. am i missing something?
Hey..if I flash this official ROM will my warranty get over....

it will show tp popup DON'T PRESS OK
THE PROCESS IS STARTING BEHIND THE POPUP
look at the screen carefully
in case screen goes off press power button once without touching panel
it may stay or take longer than 15 mins
it should be upgraded successfully..

Few more options to try:
Vol + & Vol - & Power button hold for few sec and then click Vol - ( factory mode) In factory mode there is an option for TP Upgrade but I dont know which key combination does the enter operation. Does any one know that?
Option 2 (most likely will not work)
Try to add a mouse via usb otg and try clicking the start button (Most likely usb otg may not work on that mode but still we may give a try)

I mistakenly clicked ok and so the TP Upgrade failed and I'm stuck at start screen (language selection) Is there any way can I recover and re do the TP UPGRADE?

To enter the factory mode the enter key is the combination of two touch buttons Menu and back pressed simultaneously but as the tp is not working i think that wont work

Went till factory mode and TPupgrade.. but menu button is not working..none of the soft keys are working.. so not able to select TPupgrade option.. any other ideas.. I dont have USB otg
I revived this tablet and installed a general firmware a13. It seems ok but i cant install the touchscreen. I tried 10 different TS drivers but they wont work. And everytime i install one i have to reflash. Can anyone point me in the right direction or maybe has the corect drivers? Thank you!

CANVAS 2 Colours .....Hey guys can anyone help me...my screen in not working properly.....when i scroll down the noti. bar and then slide the noti.s for clearing,,,and then my screen hangs....((i have enabled "show touches" in dev settings, so basically it shows my touches))....now 4 dots get struct ...and then i have to lock the screen by pressing the lock key...then again i turn it ON..then to touch works good for some time...no dots are there...but when the dots ( touches) are struck then the soft keys also doesn't work....only the power menu works,,,,but i can't select option...because my 4 touches are struck.....when i am typing something in keyboard the 4 dots come automatically...and in watsapp the emojis tab open and select emojis automatically.. and when i hold the home button for clearing my recent app and in navigation bar i clear the apps by sliding them from left to right the 4 DOTS (touches) comes again...and it get struck ......i dont knw its a chipset fault or touch fault or something else.......i will upload screenshot....
i don't knw how it happened. . my phone is rooted nd Xposed framework was installed..Gravity box installed....& greenify installed.... CWM custom recovery ....STOCK ROM mmx,....now i have uninstalled "update/download" framework from Xposed and disabled the gravity module...and uninstalled gravity..and greenify is there ....i think it does not give any touch issues....

Hello sir. I am in a big trauble with my samsung galaxy E120 k. It is rooted and running in cwm recovery. As it is a korian phone there are a few number of custom rom i found but non of them fully stable and 100% bug free. So i am running with stock rom with variety of customization by xposed module. But suddenly yesterday my lockscreen has vaniahed!! Not only this, in addition with this in every boot bluetooth automatically goes on and screen time out seted at 10 minute and most serious peoblem is powwr menu also vanished , holding power button leads to switch off directly instead of appear power menu where reboot, user profile, shutdown are suppose to listed. I can not solve this even after fully wiped data, reset factory setting and restored previously backuped stock rom. Nothing works. I tried every possible way i known. I searched google a huge bt got nothing.
Now plz plz plz anyone help how can i get rid of these problem. It is very urgent coz i im gonna sell this **** after resolve the problem. Plz anyone help me. I will be very very greatful to u. Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.
