NFC Payments UK using Nexus 6P and bPay? - Nexus 6P General

So for those of you who know about bPay, you know that its barclays alternative for NFC payments. You can buy a fob for about £12. This comes with a sim card shaped NFC chip. The fob is used as a case.
My thought was instead of using the fob case.. can we not cuz the bar off the sim card tray for the 6P to go from this:

to this:
Cut the sim down to fit (like you can a normal sim)
This way we have the NFC chip used for NFC payments inside our phones. Yeah we don't have a dedicated app for the payment but, the phone acts as the device you use just like Android Pay.
What do you think?
Edit: Expensive but here I found where to purchase a sim tray with 2 slots.

@FuMMoD - Used your photo's, Hope this is okay. Also how did you cut down the sim tray to fit (shown in the second photo I used)

Used a dremel tool and very steady hands. My first time doing it to a SIM tray and it came out decent due to it being metal. Be very careful and take your time.

Thank you, I may have to purchase one tho, as my sim tray is different to yours. The second sim slot (one you create) is not shaped like a sim for me, it is just a square gap with a bar through.
Google must have changed this recently (Purchased Nexus 6P last week) really wanted Android Pay.

Hay a question. The fob comes with a sim sized chip?, and the fob provides no power it's just a case? Does this mean we could quite easily not only implement these into phones like the one plus 2. Could we not also attach them to smart bands? Hiding them some how and dazzle people? @ZakBrindle

Yes, put the sim card in a smart band, sim card tray of phone (turn NFC off) in a jacket sleave (dont wash it) or anywhere. Its the CHIP that processes the payments the fob just holds it
However I am now using Android Pay on my UK Nexus 6P with Lloyds and it works perfectly. Unfortunately barclays do not yet support Android Pay (otherwise why would you buy a fob)

Just an idea
Get some plastic (thick not thin) and cut some out bigger than the sim.
Place plastic over and under the sim and heat press the plastic to seal with hair straighteners and tin foil.
Put this in your coat, the plastic will be sealed so it is now waterproof. Again, just an idea, might not work

Sinjimoru Pouch!

Bought a new accessory for my Note 3.
Basically it's a credit card pouch which allows you to store couple cards and some cash if needed. I bought this to attach to my Diztronic case. Perfect for travelling. This way you don't need to carry a wallet around.

Seems fine for now. Been using it for about 2 weeks. Still holding strong like it was just put on. I assume it should last for a bit since it's pretty darn sticky.
Does the material stretch back? If you go from 4 cards to one, will it just slide/fall out?

I've been switching around myself. pretty tight and stretches back into place when you switch between 4 to 1.
I have some input as well. I've been using these pouches since my Note 2. It's definitely one of the most useful accessories I've had. For those curious, it sticks on the back of the Spigen Neo Hybrid case perfectly fine.

Great to hear.. how long have it lasted?
I'm on the fence, what would really push me over the edge is if they had some same material finger loops sewed in. That would be so clutch.

The one on my Note 2 lasted the entire life. I've used it since the phone launch. Never showed any signs of coming off. The adhesive is very strong, but the pouch itself did show signs of slight wear and tear. But that was expected since it's something that gets handled alot and comes in and out of your pocket multiple times a day.
The first week or 2 I had this Note 3 without this pouch made me so irritated. Putting your most used credit cards into this thing makes life so much simpler.

Definitely simpler not to carry a huge wallet. Now I get to dump the brand name stuff in the closet and let this one do the job.
One thing I would mention is not to remove pouch to reapply. Pretty sure it will damage the adhesive backing.

LG G3 Armbands?

I should of posted here earlier since there is more activity here than on the Sprint forum
Does anybody know where to buy LG G3 Armbands for running?
I tried buying online LG G3 Armbands but it turns out the armbands were too big (placement where the phone fits inside the pocket sleeve), I want to know if there exists an armband that fits perfectly with the the phone and armband together
Please share where you bought your armband.
thanks

I bought this one: http://amzn.com/B00KZ9G8TS
It has it's issues but works.
1. The top often occludes the proximity detector causing it to "black screen" (fix - modify the band or use xposed to modify the proximity software)
2. Like most armbands, the clear material isn't very sensitive.
3. The neoprene slides around unless you make it tight.
4. The key holder is too small for my subaru key.
Pros?
1. It's made specifically for the G3 - the size is right and the earphone holes are in the right place.
2. It's pretty comfortable
3. Uh ... it works?
All in all, my experience has been mixed. The whole thing works, but the G3 is a pretty damn big thing to have bouncing on your arm. My gf and I were joking that it would be better as a WRIST band, where it'd look like I was using a wrist-band tricorder or something...
Im using the one below. Perfect fit and holes line almost good. Bud you cant go wrong for 7$ bugs free shipping. Shipping arround two weeks to canada. USA most likely little over a week

That's the one I have and I would recommend it despite the issues. I second the "black screen" issue. Did you use GravityBox to modify? If so what did you set the Brightness Settings to?
I put my house key in mine and run to the park where i run but I know it certainly wouldn't fit most car keys, especially Subaru.
I agree the fitment is pretty solid, the G3 is a large device to wear on your arm. I might need new headphones and I am having some issues with my TripleFi 10s

Who's getting one and why?

Hey all
So anybody up for the Oppo R5? On the face of it, looks like a great little package. Octa-core processor backed up with 2 GB of RAM and a beautiful AMOLED display with a ppi of 423, all thrown into a package just 4.9mm thick! There are downsides, with only 16GB of memory and no SD card slot, storage could be a issue for some, as could the lack of a headphone socket!
So although not perfect, this sleek device does have some attraction, who's in?

The phone is so friggin thin it would be awesome, however the lack of a headphone jack and expandable storage is a deal breaker for me. I can see why there is no headphone jack as the phone itself is 4.9mm and the jack is 3.5mm. It is a neat phone but not very practical.
I love this phone and can't wait to get one. However I'm not sure how here in Texas. Will probably stick with my Oneplus One for daily use and the R5 for showing off....

It looks gorgeous.
No head phones and sd card a real problem though....

It looks wonderful and I am hoping it will be released before too long so I can get my order in.
The lack of storage is a slight disappointment, ideally I'd like to see an SD/TF slot as it is easier to get stuff off and on to the 'phone through my iMac, but I can live with that given how slim it is. I can also manage without the headphone slot, either using an adapter or bluetooth.
As I don't use my 'phone that much, just an hour or two a day at most, the battery life shouldn't be a problem for me either. I can generally go 3 days before charging my Huawei Ascend P6, which isn't known for it's stamina so I should manage at least 2 days with the R5.
Of course I'll need a case for it too...
I just get one I mean preordered on. Now it s aveiable in the EU with a bonus power bank ..
I pre-ordered mine yesterday too.
Looking forward to getting my hands on it.
According to the OppoStyle website, it comes with a case so that will save me trying to find something to house it in initially. I'll then have some time to locate something that suits my needs, assuming the 'free' one doesn't...
And it's arrived!
Beautiful device, wonderfully classy looks. Copying my music and pictures to it now...

I paid 399 Euros which worked out at 330 UK Pounds.
I got a free power bank which is VOOC compatible both for when it is being charged from the mains, and for when it is charging up a (VOOC compatible) 'phone, a European (two pin) VOOC charger which requires an adapter (not supplied) for UK 3 pin sockets. It also came with some headphones and Micro-USB to 3.5mm adapter as well as a clear plastic clip on back cover. (Not the 'leather' book style cover I was expecting)
att/straighttalk 3g
I got the 45 dollar plan from straighttalk.com which is using the gsm network of ATT . It works great, I also have the Nexus 6 and it has no signal from T-Mobile(sprint) at my house with NO wifi calling/txt when it said 100% of our new phones have it. I guess just not this new. I will wait, or maybe sell it. I really like the Oppo R5 more, because of its size, and because it gets actual cell reception(4barsH+). I still haven't gotten Gmail to work, Google Play services error, so if anyone knows, I would like to know. I read a msg from the phone itself that said it is compatible with most gs4 roms, so If I can figure that part out, I will be golden with lollipop. OK thanks.
From Singapore
I won the Oppo R5 at their roadshow. All I had to do is to smash walnuts with the phone.
The phone is really sleek. While there are no 3.5mm jack, the package includes the USB-to-audio adapter so you can plug your favourite earphones. The fast charging is awesome and helps to mitigate the small battery size.
I've written a review which you may check out here.

Finally the Ultimate Golla Pouch for the Nexus 6, A full wallet replacement.

Hey Guys, I have been a HUGE fan of Golla Wallet Pouches,
I have been bummed and waited around 2 years now for a pouch that would properly fit a Note 4/Nexus 6 without cutting the side.
Well Golla finally delivered and this pouch is awesome!!

As with all Golla Products the quality is outstanding!,
Very well made leather and demin like material with a nice soft inside fabic.
This fits the Nexus 6 as if it were made for it special.
You have your 3 credit card slots which hold your cards nice and firmly, but still have quick access when you go out to the store.
Back side has a nice heavy duty zipper to hold your ID, Cash, Your weed, whatever you like.
The Flap has Magnets in it, you pop the phone in there and a quick flick of your wrist and the flap snaps closed as its sucked in by the magnets nice and solid.
Here's the problem, Right now Golla does NOT have this pouch available for sale in the US yet.
I have been hounding these folks literally for 2 years now and they sent me this as a test unit, apparently they
seem to think they we only have tiny phones here in the States when this is the actual opposite.
There are many pouches out there, but you either have to clip your phone into them, or they are just a simple pouch with no compartments or card slots. This solution is the only real pouch can can act as a true wallet AND phone pouch.
Shoot an email or ask them on facebook to Golla to ask they carry this in the US [email protected]
I would like to see more color and fabric options myself.
This is the Golla REY+ G1741 Wallet.

It has 3 card slots, you do make a good point, they could have added 2 or 3 more here easily,
I run 2 cards per slot and then rest of my junk in the zippered compartment. The older golla pouches the cards would easily fall out, but this one
has been pretty good so far.

i'm using hard case for solid, not like clear case with soft tpu
