yes I can able to boot recovery and download mode

Ok what you need to do is go to sammobile and download the firmware you were last using or the latest before this happened. Next you need to download the latest odin and samsung usb drivers. After you get those ill direct you on the next steps.
P.S. You need to sign up for sammobile but it's the only site i trust to get my firmware files from.

Now that that is done, boot your phone into your bootloader a.k.a. download mode and plug your phone into the pc. Then, open odin and it should show in the first small rectangle show up blue with words in it. After that show click AP. It will bring up a window. With that window look for your phone firmware and click it and click open. You will need the firmware extracted from the zip file if you have not done so already

[Q] How can I unroot my phone ?

Hi,
I want to unroot my SGS3 just to compare with stock ROM. I tried this :
http://galaxys3root.com/galaxy-s3-unroot/how-to-unroot-galaxy-s3-i9300/#comment-4415
But during the flash of cache.img everything stops and the phone is rebooting.
But like I said in the commentaries when my phone is rebooting I've a black screen. Then I tried to flash it directly with Heimdall but I've got this error
ERROR: Partition corresponding to -modem argument could not be located
Ending session...
Rebooting device...
Re-attaching kernel driver...
Click to collapse
And when I remove the modem.bin my phone stays with the "Samsung" and never get to the PIN code.
Do you have any idea how could I unroot my phone ?
Thanks.
PS : I'm using Ubuntu, I can't use Odin.
Use mobile Odin. This can unroot I believe.
Edit: sorry this isn't correct search for cfroot (with cwm recovery) there is an unroot method in 2nd post (unable to post link atm, sorry)

I said I cant' because I'm using Linux. And when I'm trying to flash through Heimdall I've got the error I copied in the first post.
Flash back stock firmware on PC Odin. It will do a total wipe and you are back on stock. No root.

Yes i read all your posts you have UBUNTU so what you need to do is buy ODIN mobile from play store download a stock rom depending on your country from sammobile.com. Extract the zip file get the tar file and put it into your sd and use mobile odin to flash back to stock.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abthK4b3y6Q
Use this video as a guide it's the same way for S3 just download an s3 firmware not S2

Thanks for your response. I thought I said it. I already tried with Odin mobile. Everything's fine but when it's flashing cache.img the phone reboots and I get bootloops.
You can flash through Heimdall but to be honest I can't remember the exact steps. Here's a guide I used sometime back:
http://www.poempelfox.de/blog/2011/10/
Sorry if it doesn't help. It just gives an idea.

Just download and flash it.
If you want more detailed answer, then you need to write more details to your question...
Download the firmware you want, put phone into download mode, connect to odin and flash the tar file in the pda box.
If your struggling to find the firmware, then download checkfus and get it from there.

Cannot update s3 to jellybean through ota.

Hi,
When I try to update using ota from ics to jb, the download is around 310 mb, (lk1), here is what happens.
Download completes successfully, phone prompts for a reboot and when it boots up, it goes to cwm and shows a prompt to install the zip file. I select yes but the process gets aborted. What's going on? I'm using cwm 6 (updated from the version that comes with cf root using Rom manager)...
Please suggest a fix rather than an alternative like download from kies or flash using Odin. I would like to know what's happening here and why. Is it because of a cwm update?
Any help will be appreciated.

Repeat repeat OTA fails if rooted.
Try Kies.

Ok to flash the modem it does work properly power down your phone I removed the battery to make sure it was off using the reboot into odin/ dowload mode wont work.Power down pull the battery to make sure its off hold volume down+home+power to manually boot into odin/download mode..I used odin 3.07 I unchecked auto reboot then select PHONE not pda or anything else.Once it writes you will see info on your phone screen showing you it wrote to it.I unplugged it pulled the battery then powered it back on worked the first time. You may be able to leave auto reboot checked.I had no issues updating prl or profile. As freeza said make sure the phone is powered down the "restart into odin mode wont work"..Again thank you freeza you deliver the goods again kind sir.
Updated with no issues.

Not entirely sure what you're trying to do but you should be able to find that pretty quick.
http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-80200/
If it's not in there then you can Google it.
Not hard to find.
And I don't think it's a good idea.
Odin should fix you no problem.

What happens when you flash with Odin?
Fails?
if so have you flashed with Odin using the PIT file?
This is needed in order to repartition the device due to the botched recovery install i believe.

I have had problems with cables, usb ports and had to use the PIT file before also.
do you have another pc you can try as well?
Try a new cable using the pit file or a different pc. These make all the difference

Another good quality usb cable?
I've recently had to get a new one bc my original cable doesn't work with Odin anymore
It would always stop at hidden partition then eventually get worse stopping at earlier partitions.
