Hope our beloved devs will find that out soon , after all nothing is impossible
stickmount on playstore
Successfully mount every partition using Paragon NTS & HFS+ Apps works perfect.

Which version of Remix are you using? And were you able to open the files directly through ES Folder app after mounting or you have to always copy it to internal storage to open the file.

I'm using remix OS 64 bit alpha , root remix os first then install paragon NTFS & HFS + , allow root root permission , it will automatically mount all partition when you open it , you have to open this app every time you start remix os . then close the app, after that you can see all partition in every file browser

Oh... Thanks for the Info.
I read in the Remix groups that, the new version 2.0 is lollipop based and due to security changes, we can only access drives but cannot run the files directly from other hard drive partitions. We have to copy paste them to internal memory to use.

No need to copy paste anything , I am watching movie and listening song from my D drive without any error , just need to copy apk to your internal storage other wise you can't install it , extract, delete , edit file in other partition working fine . confirm ☺
I dont know much but latest beta of phoenix os provides this facility out of box
Problem with phoenix os is that it doesnt have out of the box ethernet settings otherwise i would have moved to it by now

Has anyone tried this app for Data2SD?
I stumbled upon this app while taking a stroll in the Market. And wanted to share it with y'all.
And, NO, I am not the dev of the app.
☞ The Dev is WindowsNT. ★
I would've tried it myself, but I already have Data2SD on my phone. It might help those who need Data2SD.

I 'm the dev.
I 'd be happy to answer any questions. The app simply creates and formats a storage in the SD, then links data from apps to that partition.

Does it do all this automatically.. I mean is there any special script or kernel required..?

1. You first use the "storage" menu to create a storage file (default 500MB) to be used as a partition. This partition is then automatically formatted to ext2 and mounted on the device startup.
2. From the "apps" menu you select an application and you have a list of the movable files.
3. You move/restore the files you wish.
Of course, don't do it for applications that start on boot, because the storage won't be mounted until the sd card is visible.

Is this only for 2.2 or can it be used for 2.1?
It can be used with 2.1 as it doesn't move the app itself (as the 2.2 system does), it moves the internal data in /data/data/<package>.
(requires root).
Glad to see the Dev himself here.
Hope many people benefit from this App.

Hell mate. I tried this with 500mb.
It stuck at 25mb which is like 5%
Then i formatted my sd card and tried with 50mb and again it stuck at 25mb.
Why is this problem occuring ? Also i have a 16gb sdhc which is class2
Hm, perhaps a problem with your SD card ?
Try this from shell:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/mnt/sdcard/rallsd/storage bs=1024 count=102400 (for 100MB).
this is similar to the command used by my app. If it also stucks, then it seems that there's an error with your SD card (chkdsk ?)
If it works, notify me and I 'll take a look.

This dint work too
Then, a storage card issue.
Perhaps a chkdsk would help.

Heh, reply to self, but I managed to work around the initial problem by simply deleting off the storage file, and creating a smaller (128mb) one
hi, i have 2 questions before ill give it a try.
is the app able to allocate free space from the sd card to create the partition
or do i have to wipe the sd completely before ?
will the app interfere in any way with already installed and normal moved apps ?
thanx in advanced, stavro
Doesn't work on my Archos 7ob eReader (Eclair 2.1). Once the second part created by Root All to SD, it doesn't recognize its job ! Worse, Windows can't at all read the SD Card.

Three questions
I have three questions:
1) How can I reduce size of allocated memory space (I have mount 2 GB but now I see that is to much for my needs)
2) What happens with files that are on mounted partition if I uninstall Root all to SD app? How can I move it back to the original place?
Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, I've run into a problem. I'm on Resurrection Remix 3.0.2 (jelly bean) and before flashing the latest version of the rom I tried to do a nandroid back up. I had done this numerous times with no problems. Anyway, I tried to back up to external sd card. The back up crashed since there wasn't enough free space and the phone rebooted itself. Since that happened, I lost access to my sd card. I can't view my pic gallery and lost some apps. ES file explorer says there's no card, even though there is. I tried flashing the most recent rom version and tried rebooting of course. Nothing worked. Solutions?

Yep, I tried that too.
i have faced the same problem , the whole problem is that in AOKP the external SD is mounted to emmc instead of external_sd ,( i know that's a pain in the neck ) but there is 2 ways to overcome this :
1)search for an app on xda called remountSD
2)or just use directory bind here is the guide:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1536568

can't u just connect ur pc and copy this apk to your internal sd card using mass storage mode
or even go to the link from your mobile with a browser like chrome and download it directly to your internal sd download folder (/sdcard/download)
by the way external sd is found in (/emmc)to get there u need an app like root explorer
Hi
I have same problem in my Sony Xperia tipo. i have install this APK in on devices. it's called "REMOUNT" just search in play store. After install follow the step...
In option just select
/mnt/ext_card
then click on remount logo.
It's Done !
As the title states, I have a second partition on my flash drive and I want to know if there's any way to make remix os see it.
The reason I want the second partition is, I have an idea to use Link2SD to overcome the ~4GB data limit on flash drives. (Yes I know there are guides for extending the data img, that doesn't work on flash drives, only for NTFS hard drive partitions for those of us who dual boot)
No need to use this bullcrap idea. Just add "INSTALL=1" after pressing TAB while you are on the resident mode selection.

Cool, but what I'm wanting to do is mount an ext4 partition on the flash drive to /mnt/ext2fs within Remix OS (or something like that, it's where link2sd mounts the 2nd sdcard partition normally)

It is some kind emulator or virtual machine from what I found here.
http://wiki.qemu.org/Main_Page
Not sure why it was needed or how it works.
I have been following this forum plus a Remix subreddit and Jide's Google group trying to get a feel for what is going on, but must admit I know very little about PC's and nothing about Linux.

See this is what I'm talking about with the manners. You're not winning any friends, admirers, or respect by being this rude.
I've tried multiple times to use install=1 to format my flash drive. It always fails, and then remix won't boot until I reformat the drive back to fat32 and reinstall.

I am using Samsung galaxy S5 (SM-G900I) , Android version 6.0.1 was rooted successfully as installed root apps confirmed that.
Phone has SD 32 GB and via my laptop card reader (i.e not via phone and USB cable) I created two primary partitions 30 GB FAT32 and 2 GB ext2 when it didn't work I changed it to ext4 but still no joy.
What I tried so far uninstalled and installed Link2SD twice still receiving the same error above
I tried to create the second partition on the external SD card while the phone is connected to my laptop via USB (i.e not using a card reader ) , instructions in the link below
http://www.androidgadgematic.com/2012/05/how-to-create-second-partition-on-micro.html
Although my computer recognized the internal storage of the phone and the external one but laptop program Mini partition couldn't see the external SD card ,,,,why I don't know !!!
Any advice what should I do to overcome this issue ?
Thanks
Androed 6...
Did you knew, that link2sd, in androed 4.4+ does not works, if you use dalvik-cache?
Yes, for return again, link2sd will work, only if you odex your apps.
How to odex?
Use apktool for "odex this app" .
