I'm using a VIVO y22 device. It's internal storage is too low & so I want to root my phone to extend its internal storage. But I'm having problems in rooting the device.
NO automatic rooting softwares are working on my device. Tried several of such softwares.
So in order to manually root the phone I need the help of Custom recoveries. I generated a CWM recovery file for my device using the MTK droids tool since my device is an MTK device. (MT6582)
But I am unable to flash it on my device. When I tried to flash it via fastboot (with all the adb and fastboot drivers properly and installed and well verified) with the command: Fastboot flash recovery (filename).img, it showed the following error: Partition recovery not support flash.
I then tried to flash the recovery img using SP flash tools with the proper scatter file of my device well loaded. It too showed an error: PMT changed for ROM it must be downloaded.
The question is that is there any other method for rooting my device?
If not can you please guide me to solve the problems that I am facing while trying to flash my device with the recovery image?
I have previously rooted 4 devices successfully and have flashed custom recoveries in all of them.
But I can't root this device. I can't search online for help with this specific device as it is unpopular.

You can make your sd card writable usin Android devlopers tool..there is one video on YouTube also. ...I it is working on my vivo y22

I found some roms here - http://cepnoloji.com/mtk-gti8190-replika-s3-mini-rom-b393.0/ but i cant neither unlock bootloader or root the phone. I installed all usb, android, etc drivers, no yellow mark in the device manager. I've tried MtkDroidTools, TPSparkyRoot, SP_Flash_Tool... please help.
I forgot to mention that the phone actually is with Android 4.1.2, i dont kno why MTK Droid root & tools says Android v : 2.3.6, it start with samsung logo and everything, but i dont have bulgarian language i this rom.

My brother had the same and got into a permanent pattern lock problem. I was able to root it using "Eroot_V1.3.4".
later i even flashed the phone with SP Flash Tool to get the phone working 100%. I got the firmware from here

i discover how to root the S3 mini gt-i890 clone using this tool (All Chine Mobiles Root) VROOT vs 1.3.1
first thing to do is to find the SAMSUNG or USB DRIVERS.
after installing, download the tool
then go to vroot vs 1.3.1 folder
then click the ROOT application then wait for a seconds to detect ur phone then click ROOT
and its DONE!

1 open usb debugging from phones settings menu. if you cant reach developer options use gsmbest usb dongle and bst smart tools software to open mtk usb debugging.
root your phone using mtk droid tools.
make backup of your phone using mtk droid tools. dont compress and dont package your phone software bakup when mtk droid tool asks..
i also need folder system. rar them all and share here
share your backups using mega file sharing or mediafire. also we need to get your phone sys/board_properties files.
use android commander software to browse phones directories using usb debugging. share them here.
we can edit your touchpad drivers screen drivers and keypad files in usr/keychars,idc,keylayout files.
Hi, I've been working on replacing the OS on my MTK6582 for many days over the last 3 weeks. I've followed several very helpful guides but I simply cannot get an alternative ROM to successfully boot. The original stock ROM is buggy and won't even connect my SIM to the network!
I've found this guide [Guide]How To Port & Modify Roms For Mediatek[Everything] by @digyvijaykumar123 to be the most helpful but I don't think the OP is active any more and the Q&A page is stale. I've tried posting in the Noob Friendly thread with no response.
Honestly, at this stage I'll try anything! So please give me the benefit of your experience and knowledge!
The phone is an unbranded clone. It's called "Lenovo A808T" but it's obviously not a Lenovo and A808T seems to be completely misleading - not even equivalent to the popular clone "A808T Golden Warrior" clone.

I've tried porting 7 ROMs but the most successful (i.e. have installed in CWM but have not booted) have been the following:
Inew V3 Huawei Emui 3 port KK,
Lenovo S860 VibeUI 2.0,
Honor 3C Hol-T00/U10 MIUI,
Lenovo S850 VibeUI 2.0.
All ROMS have been based on the 4.4.2 Android version, the MTK6582 chip and most on the same resolution. However they either boot loop or hang on the "welcome" logo.
Some questions I have are:
MTK Droid Tools detects the phone as a MTK 6582, is this detection 100% unmistakably correct?
Will using a ROM with the same build number "ALPS.KK1.MP1.V2.11" make a boot more likely? All other ROMs using this same build number seem to be for the MTK6592 which makes me suspicious!
MTK Droid Tools says the OS is 4.4.2, is this also 100% correct (or is this easily changeable in the build.prop or some other file)? If it could be misleading, how can I check and confirm the real Android version?
I'll find another ROM and keep trying but at this stage it's like banging my head against the wall. I've invested literally days of time on this so I'd hate to give up now. Any advice will be gratefully followed!

i try kit kat but i downgrade back to Jelly bean..Much more better, no lagging or hang..Kikkat have some signal issue but in jellybean nothing to worry...
to check android version...
tap continuously on 4.4.2 in about phone...if kitkat like animation u see then it is kitkat....
if it is jelly bean then u will see jellybean...
but some times device makers also make similar animation...but u can try it first....

Having the same problem.
Tried several automated rooting software such as Kingo Root, Iroot etc.. Everything failed.
Since the device is a Mediatek device I tried Framaroot too. But it too failed.
Couldn't find a recovery image for my BBK VIVO Y22 MT 6582 device.
I seriously need to root my phone since the internal memory of the device is too small that I couldn't even install the basic apps.
I madly need a recovery image file of TWRP or CWM for my device.
