Some battery friendly ROMS ? - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need some battery friendly rom for my D6503 can anyone suggest some ?

the 100% stock one

My personal experience,
Best in performance and battery and very close to stock ... would be Slim Rom from @Wajk
Its been ported for our Z2 by @RaKesh

Yeah maybe you are right. I'm currently on Pre rooted stock 5.1.1 (.232) and I'm getting 6hrs SOT with more than average usage.

I usually get 5+ SOT with this Rom, however i do use Androplus Kernel V72 with Alucard gov & Intelliplug.
Maybe give it try and see if you like it.

KK was very fine too... If you don't mind installing a 4.X android then you could try one of these, like the kk-version of eXistenz .
( I just kept the kk-Carbon-ROM on my sd-card because of this. First, it was just because no LP of carbon appeared, then I kept it because it ran fine and I think the dl-link is dead now if I remember correctly )
Purex 9&10 gave me decent battery life too.
But I am a user that has BT, location, Wi-Fi, mobile-data always on, so your experience may differ if you use your phone otherwise.

Mx ROM v8.0.0 cc
Great battery life and good all-round ROM

GPE 4.4.4 port for non-gpe is a good choice for battery saving.
Currently I am on CM 11 with greatdev kernel so far so good as the customization is minimal compared to other CM/AOKP based roms but stable.
AOKP missing navigation bar in landscape with lower dpi so i'm staying away from it.
GPE 5.0 port for non-gpe is great too if you want the latest android and doesn't depend on xposed framework.
StoneUI .118 HD3 if you want Sony feel with a whole bunch of unused apps removed.

Lol, I wish I could agree. Despite re-flashing and even formatting, wiping cache and dalvic, I'm getting 2 hours on screen time for my battery.
Even when not using the phone my battery drains like crazy, around 15-20% over an 8 hour period...
That said I can only hope Android 5.1 fixes the horrible battery drain issue.

You mean the 18 months old kk-version?
Battery was very good on a lot of kk-roms, although as I understood the OP, he was talking about the newer Roms he didn't check yet.

I read and understood what he said, and advised him accordingly. Why would i suggest a KK rom? He did say new right?
Have you checked the dev tread lately, you will find the new Slim Rom 4.8 ported by Rakesh. V 5.1.1 LP

Sorry, this is just a confusion.
Obviously you talk of the stock based SLiM Rom, and I was referring to the famous aosp-/cm-based slim Rom.
I hate the name they chose, it's so similar to slimrom.

i only found 4.7 discontinued
I recommmnd the Google Style ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/rom-google-style-v1-0-t3300253
It's a Sony stock-based ROM with AOSP/CM apps. The fastest ROM I've ever used, and I get very regularly over 5h SOT with very, very heavy usage

This device still got some life in it. Definitely was a good deal.

Yes, you can. I am check the screenshot.
First flash Rakesh's port 4.8 full rom as a base for Z2. Then on your link download the 4.9 OTA and flash it.
Later you can change your buildprop line for model number to say D6503.

No its not as much slimed down like Purex or Google -Style and far away from the ~300mb of AOSP - like Roms.
But hey, if you install it as your first rom, it will go on systems partition anyway, so why bother? There are lots of people that say it's smooth and battery saving (although some complain about 4.9 being not so battery -friendly as the version before).
I am curious about which marshmallow-roms will show up, and till then I just stay with GoogleStyle as my primary.
Even spent some Bucks on AOKP, cause they made my old HTC wildfire run android 4.04 with tons of features and a power -saving mode I haven't seen on any z2-rom (autoswitch to 2g at screen off) so far....

Yes Sony said so. At the moment there is a beta program in selected countries.
Atm there are MM-builds of Validus, AOKP, AOSP, CM13 (and possibly others) available, hope Sony releases their official version soon.

MM Tesla was a rom with a very good battery life on the onyx and I heard Tesla N is extremly battery friendly on OP3. Maybe they have some draining bugs. I haven't time to try it (I'm on MM Validus)
edit:
If you have free time, try a custom kernel and report the battery life here

I was on Arsenic Kernel. I dont know why, but every 7.0 ROM has bad battery life on my phone. I tried CM14 by Sarthak, F-AOSP and Tesla N
Edit: I tried Stock Kernel on Tesla N and it was even worse.

Best Xperia Z2 Nougat ROM

What is the best nougat rom for z2? I want stability, performance and everything works. I saw Resurrection Remix, CarbonROM, CypherOS and Lineage OS. Which is the best? Now I have eXistenZ Marshmallow and performance is not perfect, but I like original Xperia look and I want something looking similar to this. What I should to install?
rr is good

i used it is very good:laugh:
I install already rr and I'm very glad

the only one nougat rom has Xperia Interface . here... but it outdated . but still okay ..
Once upon a time custom rom used to be better in stability and usability than stock rom.
But those days are long gone.
Now a days custom rom is just about upgrading and adding fancy stuff.
No single custom rom can beat stock rom in stabilty/performance/battery etc now.
I've tried them all. But now I'm back to stock with restored TA.
Don't plan to go on a custom rom again.
YMMV.

I meant to write stability/usability/battery.
It's true that performance is slightly better in nougat/oreo than stock MM.
But is the performance gain due to "tweaks" and "optimization" done by the cookers? No, it is because the improvements done by Google.
Nougat rom still has the mic issue.
Battery charging takes twice the time than stock.
Battery life is worse than stock.
And frankly, I really don't notice any performance difference in stock MM. it is noticeable only if I do bench.
Like I said, YMMV. So you should try out first before taking a decision.

From what I have experienced Lineage OS by smartass is pretty fast but it still has some bugs (random reboots, whatsapp call etc).
As a 2nd option you can use MDK v5 rom by lakamel, it is pretty good rom aswell.

If you want only gaming then stock rom of your is best
The best rom is yur stock rom
Gaming
I'd look for a stock custom, or built up stock rom/kernal, I gave lineage a go, was largely unimpressed with everything but the shear speed. There are stock roms close to that fast, I play plenty of the 3d racers, action, and rpg's on mine without issue. I agree with stock, but stock doesn't have to be basic, or slow.
