I have a Samsung Note 4 with stock ROM and root. I made a factory reset just a couple of day ago because same problem: high battery drain because of the system and i have again this problem! :crying:
As u can see I did just 14 minuts of display on and my battery is on 60%. Luckily this not always happen.
How can I discover the problem? The app or service that cause this?

I'm having very strange problem. I installed CheckROM v6 + speedmod k2-21 kernel on my phone and now my battery went crazy. Having some kind of drain when i restart the phone... Today I restarted my phone on 42% battery and when it booted up battery was on 21% and then started to rise to 22,23,24..
Anyone knows what may cause this problem? I also used BatteryCalibration app to calibrate the battery after rom flash.
Pls help!

Charge the phone 100% use the phone three days to give it time to recalibrate .
Flash a different kernel or rom .
That fails go to Better Battery Stats app and thread .

give your phone sometimes. anyway, having able to last for 20 hours is more than perfect. try ask iphone users.
i did ask few of my frens (iphone 4 users), he can't even last for half day, and need to have car charger, usb cable or pc just to prepare to charge the rubbish. lol
edit: forget to mention, they can't play game continuously on their rubbish. their battery will die in around 2 hours (i can have 5 hours continuous online game playing with s2)
btw, your so-called "bug" might be the system is trying to recalibrate itself to the nearest value with the battery level. should be a good news, better than the phone "lying" about your battery.
Hi,
I have a very rare problem with my Xperia X10i. Namely quickly consumes battery. Calculated the average of the 5 minutes for 1% of the battery charge. Given the battery is discharged within 3-5 hours.
Xperia (unlocked bootloader, root and xRecovery). I have tried all ways, but none of them helped. I've done a full format of the new phone by installing the Android 2.3.3. Restored to factory settings, format the memory card, Avast antivirus scanning the phone.
I took it to the living room and said that it might have some short-circuit or short circuit in the phone. They said that in the middle of the phone is fine.
The problem appeared on the original batteries from Sony Ericsson BST-41. I thought maybe the fault lies in the battery so I bought a battery Andida 1700mHa but the effect is the same. The battery is exhausted within 3-5 hours. I thought the wine so it can rom. I installed rom from Wolfbreaka "uIBIDoom" which is 90MB, to no avail.
It seems to me that I've tried almost everything, but it is still some hope. Please help me.:crying:
hi. I dont think that 3 batteries can be broken. make sure you have disabled GPS, it drains battery quicky. wifi drains it faster too but not so much. try to recalibrate your battery.
Its hard to tell if it is normal ( 5 hours battery life) because we dont know how are you using your phone. Watching youtube with wifi online can drain battery realy quick. GPS too, also playing games.
Really I dont know whats the problem, but try to recalibrate your battery and turn off unnecesary services like GPS etc.
The case of the battery is such that initially work properly. She held as well, up to two days. Phone calmly withstood the night, which is not an option now. On the battery worked well, it happened overnight. Today went well, and the next day something happened to her. All necessary application off (gps, wifi, youtube)
Hi,
My phone battery is behaving abnormally since few days. The phone goes off at around 40% battery showing a low battery warning. It does not switch on unless I put it on charge and switch it on. After switching it on it shows random battery percentage like 23% or 71% etc. The battery is also discharging fast these days.
My OS is Miui 8.5.7.0 updated 2 or 3 weeks ago.

This could be due to faulty or a degraded battery
I have had also faced this problem on my previous devices and that was bcs of degraded battery over time
Can u tell me what's ur device age and also to make sure it's a faulty battery or something u should first take backup of everything and then clean Flash miui using Mi Flash tool
Thank you for replying. My phone is of 1 year old. I can bacup & clean flash but I have too many important things on my phone that I do not have time or I can't take risk of missing something. If I have no options then I can flash. The battery quality of Redmi is very poor, my nexus tab is running fine even after using it for 4 years and doing more recharge cycles.
Hello everyone
I have a z5 compact (E5803) with Stock ROM 7.1.1 (32.4.A.0.160). After two years last night my battery has 71% I enable flight mode and go to bed morning I checked battery it was 62% I shocked and worry about health battery. Does need replace battery? Or flash new ROM
Each charging cycle is worn on the battery, causing capacity to drop over time. Also, some apps can make the battery drop sometimes if they hang. Try rebooting the phone. I don't think a battery replacement is necessary, mine's over 2 years old and works good (recharge mine every 2-3 days or so).
Also, try cleaning the phones dalvik cache (requires root) and cache partition. This will make the phone more snappy most times, and may prevent battery drains from semi broken apps. I usually clean both davlik and cache partitions very 2-4 months.
My s9 plus battery sometimes drains fast(1-2min) from %10 to %1.But I can keep using the phone when it reaches to %1 for a long time till the device turns off itself.Tried clearing cache but it happens again.Tried calibration too ı think but no way.How can ı resolve this? Factory Reset may be? Or my battery faulty?
Have you Try to change the battery
No i did not.it has been 1 year since i bought the phone
Happens to me as well, some say that is a Pie bug.
İ thought the same it seems a software issue ı didnt have it on Oreo
After i reached to 5% my battery dies so fast on like 30-40 seconds
may be a problem in my battery
