Hopefully someone can help me. I recently purchased an Honor 7 in the UK so I assume I have the EU version. I have noticed on a few forums that people are getting OTA's for version B180. I have tried checking for updates via the settings menu to no avail. My phone is running B121. Am I stuck on this till MM or is there an update available that I should have received.

Just download the updates and do them manually, the instructions are in the getting started thread above. I am in the UK was running 121 but am now on 180, just be careful and follow the instructions to the letter.
You can either wait for the full Marshmallow version when it comes on OTA, but if you want, you can update from B121 to B140, then to B170, and finally from B170 to B180.
It'll give you a few more features (such as pro-camera mode) and some security patches.
I got OTA from B121 to B130, but no OTA further on from there, so I manually went from B130 -> B140 -> B170 -> B180.
I'm in the UK as well and I got OTA from B313 to B320. Not sure I see any improvements, though!
edit: I am not a beta tester, I just uploaded manually up to B313. Never unlocked, never rooted the phone.

If you update to B180 will they release an OTA that goes from B180 -> Marsh mellow directly? Or will I have to flash any intermediate updates?
This is all speculation but I was wondering if anyone knew, many thanks.
I think there will be a full Update file and also an ota from b180 to mm because all other releases greater than b180 are beta firmwares...that does not make any sense for me to force a stable user to intermediate Update to a beta and than to a final release.
Yes there will be a full update package from 121 to MM released. On the French honor site it has a European zip file for honor 7 which contained both packages inside it with instructions how to update depending which software you were currently on. It was a beta package so I decided to wait for the official as it is only another week to wait. It is annoying how honor 7 in Europe are getting ota updates to 180 when people in the uk seam not to. Plus I want to do a full fresh install of MM to make sure it's a clean install on my phone and no chance of bugs ect.

I got my Uk Honor 7 in September and it came with B100 and to date I have not had any updates, it is strange that some people in the Uk say they get OTA updates and others here get nothing.

My phone was on B121, and is currently downloading the 180 update....
I think mine was one of the early ones delivered to the UK as it came with B100, I have seen several posts on here where people are stating theirs came with B121 which I think were delivered at a later date, I could have updated mine via the links provided as I use to do manual AOSP updates with my Samsung S3, but was not able to use my Lloyds bank app and a few other apps, so I decided to keep my Honor 7 with official updates only. but may have to rethink that if we don't get an update soon.
Just received B180 update notification. Hopefully will fix a couple of issues.

numbnutsuk - thanks for the link, yep, I decided to get on with it and it installed fine from your link and then my phone has just downloaded the B180 OTA and its installing as I type this, hopefully my bank apps will still work ok, they should as its an official OTA update.
If everything works out ok I will update my wife's phone (Honor 7)

I'm exactly the same, got an early one with B100..... When will mm arrive?
Create a folder on your SD called dload and stick the above zip into it then update manually through the update app on your phone. Reboot and it will ota update to 180. I think the MM update will be released the end of this week!

I assume you have B313 MM6.0 beta, otherwise you wont receive B330 MM6.0 beta update.
Anyway, you must be un-root and have stock Recovery to get OTA, or at least update without bricking the phone.
Check this first.
My mobile variant is PLK UL00 india firmware version B304 6.0 beta. I am in stock recovery and unrooted. My friends have received B330. But for me it shows latest sw is installed.

It´s usual not all the users getting the update at the same time. This happens with all the brands.

B330 is the final update and not the beta update. I received it yesterday despite not registering for the beta update. This is the full version for the final marshmallow and the the same I received yesterday.
You can get the B330 stable version update from huawei webiste.

I don't know about India, but B330 for European variant is beta. It's written everywhere alongside it's bugs.

Actually even the final version here in India isn't stable enough. It irks me to have all these bugs despite huawei having manufactured a nexus device which is pure android marshmallow.

I seriously doubt there is any final MM firmware already released. It just doesn't make any sense to have a final version confined to a single country. But again, I admit the remote possibility.
The Nexus device as nothing to do with Honor 7, but the quality standard is the same. This is why I also stand by the theory that there is no final MM yet.
can someone help in rollback of B330 (MM) to B170 (LP) for Indian variant PLK UL00.
It's 6 weeks since b130 was released & I haven't received the update. I have to assume b130 has been pulled by Honor. I see at least one EU owner has received b150 via OTA.
I'm having random reboots and touch screen issues & need to install the latest firmware to see if these issues are software or hardware related.
Does anybody know when b130 will be released OTA for all EU owners?

I've use Firmware Finder to update my Honor9 ( from 183 to Oreo ) with no problems, after a few days, without FF ,I get new OTA from android, so, I think it's safe. In my case : Nothing is unlock no root , nothing, only Stock.

Hi all, March is over for us in the UK in just under 4 and a half hours did anyone get the official update to Oreo other than using firmware finder? Just wish they (honor) would of just kept silent on the update until it was rolling out instead of all this guessing

Tried on wifi connected to their PC software, not sure if I want to go down the firmware finder route just yet as there is always a chance of bricking the phone and I should of mentioned it is a retail unlocked honor 9 bought in the UK from J__n Lew_s (not sure if we can, name names so to speak on the forum) again not moaning about the phone just the lack of official information even sent honor a tweet but I will probably wait and wait for a reply

FF is totally safe if you always use the IMEI approved ones. Also, use the full OTA files. (Larger ones)

Using firmware finder no doubt will work I was wondering will a phone updated that way still receive official future ota updates for security etc or once it has been used do you have to update using FF?
I updated mine to B180 via FF and got an OTA update for B183 a few days later. Also updated to Oreo via FF with no problems. My phone came from Three.

Yes, FF only makes your phone "skip in line" of the OTA queue.

2. After this update i did a factory reset and all things .. I felt that the possibilities of the mobile weakened and the speed slowed down and also in some games became heavy ..

I'm not sure if i will receive it or not! Because i buy this phone frome Paris (orange-France) but i live in Tunisia (africa)... And in my region they received already the 0.152 (c185).. ?

It can check the newest compatible firmware version available for your phone. It can also let you update to a newer version even if your phone is not updating, but this could brick your phone.

Seems like we are not quite up to date with features with Orange.FR
I have updated the firmware 8.0.0.0.143 (C109) today and I have to say that for the moment magisk works perfectly, as well as TWRP. So, August patches and rooted with magisk 17.1.

Elephone has problems with OTA updates but @skeleton1911 (developer) said that the newest update should be able to upgrade via OTA but this might take some time because the update isn't shipped to everyone in the same moment. So you have to wait a few days.
Otherwise you can update via QFIL and Stock Rom files available on XDA.

And also I have the newest full OTA files. To manuall update via fota app or recovery.
I can provide them later when I am home.
But better would be to wait. Because I already dumped the new update and will release the full rom soon .
