Marshmallow advanced permissions bug? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello friends.
I have noticed a bug in my untouched MMB29Q, and I'm wondering if it happens to anyone else and, more important, if anyone knows a workaround:
It turns out the advanced permissions for my apps don't stick.
For instance, I go to settings -> Apps -> (any app) -> Permissions -> Additional permissions, I'm supposed to be able to manually enable them by toggling the switch next to each permission name, but if I exit the screen and go back, they revert to their off state.
Is it just me?

I am using one plus 2 and have recently upgraded to marshmallow. Just wanted to check if you got any solution for this issue.

[Q] Strange behaviour concerning default apps

Hello,
I have recently purchased a Galaxy S3 and have the following problem: everytime I open a program (via Link (Tapatalk) or from the contacts (SMS/WhatsApp))
I get the notification if I wish to open the same type Always or Just once with the respective program.
Everytime I choose "Always", the phone tells me that I can reset the default app settings in the Application menu, but it doesn't remember my choice,
so I have to redo this step again and again.
I installed several Original and Custom ROMS and Kernels, all with the same error. I always install a new ROM with full data/cache/dalvik wipe.
Anyone had the same problem or knows how to fix this?
Kind regards.

Usb connection issue

Hi guys,
I have a note 3 with latest Miui Beta (Marshmallow) and I usually use a program called Snappea to install or backup apk's on my PC. But there is an issue bothering me and I am searching for a solution to solve it, hoping someone on this forum will be able to help me. Everytime I install an Apk using a usb connexion, I have to give a permission to it then to finish the installation manually on the phone, issue that I dont have with other phone, like my Nexus 6. Is there a way to deactivate this option and to have all my apk's installed automaticaly without giving permission to each of them?
Thank you for any help.
It used to be in settings -> Permissions -> click 3 dots in upper right corner and deselect Install from USB but that apparently is not in the MM Beta. It was in MIUI 8.0.1.0 stable which is what I was running and had to do to get it to stop prompting all the time when doing Titanium Backup.

Disable Slide to unlock and decativated settings at Android 8

Hello guy`s
i`m searching since days for a solution for my Android car system.
It has Android 8.1.0 installed, i can access the filesystem via adb root, the system itself is not rooted.
I have two issues with the device.
since a factory reset, when booting the system it does start into the "normal" slide to unlock screen, before the reset it booted directly into the Car GUI.
I searched also for disabling this, but only found how to reset or delete the passwords, and disable it on old Android 2.3 4.0 or 5, but not on Android 8.
it would now be easy said to just disable it at the system security settings under Display lock, but here is the second issue, the option seems to have been disabled by the manufacturor.
the same is with some other Option menu`s that are missing at settings.
i`m not that firm with android os itself, so i can`t finde the right command or modification to change this.
can someone help me how to disable slide to unlock, and how to reactivate deactivated system settings ?
sincerely Chri

Cannot change any permissions anymore since today

I don't know, what happened. Since one month or longer I use Cherish OS (Android 11) AOSP Custom Rom on Redmi Note 10 Pro, but suddenly I cannot do anything related to permissions. When I start an app and it asks for a permission I cannot press and select anything. The popup for deny/allow appears, but touching any option does not do anything. I just can go back, and use the home button etc, but not select the permission options. When I go to the app settings manually via long press on the app icon and open the app details, I can do everything, except setting the permissions there either. It just freezes I cannot do anything, except go back to the previous menu.. What might be the issue? I cannot use any app properly, except those I gave permissions before. I even flashed the Rom again but nothing changed
Try clearing system cache.
Hard reboot.

Question Applications lose their permissions when restarting the device (Redmi Note 10 mojito/sunny

Every night I turn off my phone, the next day I wake up, and turn it on, and some applications such as messages, or google photos, brave browser, ask me for permissions or define defaults, this only happens after restarting the device

Its weird because it does not affect all aps, just some
In the settings for the "Info>Permissions" application in the system, there is an option to "remove permissions for inactive applications". The system will probably evaluate the application as inactive and remove the permissions.
Turn off this feature for the listed applications.
I cant find that settings anywhere
I'm on a custom ROM and can't verify if Miui supports it. But Android 11 has this feature and custom ROM also.
It's supposed to be where you set permissions for the application.
