Digiland 7" DL701Q Stock ROM needed - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Digiland 7" DL701Q Android tablet and I am looking for the stock ROM for it. This tablet is based on the MTK8127 chipset and has a quad-core processor. This unit was sold at Best Buy.
There are two versions of this tablet. I have the second version. The ROM for the first version is posted on the digi-land.net website. I tried flashing the tablet with this one and the screen is upside down and non-responsive. As popular as this unit was, it is surprisingly hard to find the stock ROM.
If someone could post a link to the stock firmware for the DL701Q, I would greatly appreciate it.

i need this myself too

[Q] Need advice reg creating/fixing custom rom for tablet - iball Q9703

Hello everyone, first of all thanks any help would be greatly appreciated.
I recently got this. iBall Q9703 (cant use links yet sry iball.co.in/Product/Q9703/474) tablet, it has a badly ported rom and noticeable lag. Now I own a few mainstream devices with custom roms and this lag is not acceptable.
The chipset is Allwinner A31 which supports JB 4.2 and up(acc to wiki). Im assuming the lag is cause the stock is running badly built jb 4.1
I know that most Indian(and other) brand tablets are actually re-branded clones of Chinese tablets, so i went searching and found this Allview Alldro 3 speed quad. Its the EXACT same tablet from Romania.
I tried finding custom roms for it (or even CWM recovery ) but failed. Many suggested ONDA tablet roms but some ppl flashed it and wireless services stopped working. So got fed up and decided to handle things by myself.
I have a few questions so plz bear with me. (BTW I know there are detailed guides for most of the questions but I just need some direction)
( note: current rom was pre-rooted out of the box )
1) Is there any way using just root to speed up the rom? (tried launchers, removing apps, task killers)
2) Should I be able to compile and use CWM for this device or any other recovery.(None of them officially support the device)
3) Would I be able to take a backup image of the current stock rom inc. kernel(as a zip) on my system and flash it using recovery in case i screw anything up?
4) Would I be able to create a rom from scratch by extracting and using the current kernel and base-band? If so can I use jb4.2? (current is 4.1)
If i flash the rom and something goes wrong, i assume i can boot into recovery and flash the backup?
5) Would I be able to use a CWM intended for ONDA tabelt since its both based on allwinner a31?
6) Can i use a jb 4.1 kernel with jb4.2?
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks
Iball q9703
i also have the same problem and yea it also has serious heating problems

[Q] Help on rooting Archos 97 Platinum HD (not 97b)

I got an Archos 97 Platinum HD yesterday, the original not the 97b model. It has android 4.1 and no further updates were issued by Archos (apparently this is quite common for them to turn their backs on customers) and I'm trying to read up as much as I can on rooting and flashing custom roms and recovery on it. But any information appears to be vague or not appropriate at all.
I have downloaded a hybrid Archos 97 Platinum/Onda v972 android 4.2.2 pre rooted rom and I was hoping to flash that on to it. Another owner has recommended I first flash an official Onda v972 image on to it, then root it and install cyanogen but I have no idea which rom to use or what method to use to flash it.
So any help to get this tablet off its buggy 4.1 software and on to a stable version would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Questions about new Fire HDX 8.9 Tablet

Hello everyone. I always wanted to buy a tablet and now I found out about new kindle tablet (the one with 2.5 GHz quad-core processor and adreno 420 GPU). I tried reading the forums, yet I was not able to understand a few things.
1) Will It be possible to root it or it will come with new firmware and it will not be possible to root it anytime soon?
2) Will it be possible to install custom ROM?
I am sorry if there are same threads, however I was not able to find any.

Let me just get out my crystal ball and check for you .lol
No but really if it follows suit with the HDX it will be locked up tight I am not wasting my money or my time.
Some developer or developers will find a in. They're quite awesome!
I don't know which version of the firmware is going to ship on these new devices, but here's a threat about a new, KitKat-based firmware that can NOT be rooted (yet): http://forum.xda-developers.com/kindle-fire-hdx/general/update-1314-4-1-1-probably-sangria-t2901813

Does someone Know a way to unbrick my captiva pad 9.7

Hi,
A nice guy from xda assist sent me here, so..
I got a Captiva Pad 9.7 Super Full HD.
It has the Rk3188 Quadcore Processor.
Well, the Stock Rom was too slow, so i decided to install a custom Rom.
I found a cyanogenmod version which was rewritten for captiva pads.
I installed it but since then there is just a Black Screen with backgroundlightening, which means the Tablet
Is still alive.
Is there a way to bring it into original Form with stock Rom or a WORKING Rom (and Kernel) because i dont find a Stock rom for my Device.
Thanks for Your help
As you can see, nobody is interested. Just throw that device away and get a new iPad. For this, you will surely get more support here
