Brightness is at the lowest setting that you get with "disable auto brightness" enabled. And i even found that too much sometimes late at night.
But during that time i used maximum brightness for a short time as well to read a pdf.
Wifi is in my room. baseband 64 with very good signal reception (full bars) and 2g only. (data disabled)
I'm not trying to say that everyone should get the same battery life as me. In fact you should NOT get that much battery if you are using your android phone the way it was meant to be used.
And that is: the "always on" nature with updates and notifications etc.
What i'm highlighting here is that the version does not have a deep sleep issue at least. If it drains too much power while using some phone functions, that's different...
One twitter app that checks for new content every 5 mins would be enough to never let your phone deep sleep for example.
Anyway, after downloading an listening another 1.5 hour long podcast yesterday, here is the final picture before i charge my phone.

Instructions
for lockbootloader
- after restoring the backup, u need to install CWM manually (searh for it, will add link later on)
- then u need to install stock wifi module
- delete /system/lib/module or /system/lib/modules
- then flash this: Stock wifi modules (this is from Night-Elf's kernel thread)
- after u finish all of the above make a new full backup, so u have a fully a nice one to restore when u messed it up
patch for neo
- after finish flashing the rom, reboot into recovery
- flash custom zip & navigate to folder named -=codename_##=-
- select codename_9_neo_patch.zip
walkman & volume+
- to really feel the different, use headphone
- open walkman, play your favourite music
- open volume+ > go to headset setting > enable audio modification > EQ Presets > select 'Beats Emulation'
- press home button to exit & enjoy it
odex script - optional
- use this wisely & with precaution
- flash custom zip & navigate to folder named -=codename_##=-
- select codename_9_odexing.zip
- it will odex the rom (system/app & framework only, data partition are excluded)
- remember this, if you want to replace any apps that already included in the rom, add it before you flash this zip
- or flash rom > add your apps > odex the rom (since my rom will not wipe your data, you can do this over & over again )
- or you end up with bootloop (reflash the rom & its fixed )
QuickPanel Setting
- disable brightness & flashlight on statusbar, it will slow down battery use in display
- also disable network widget, some user reported that it is not working
Spare Parts - removed
- window animation > off
- transition animations > fast
- this will make it snappier
SetCPU

- don't forget to thanks there
- set smartassV2, min freq 245Mhz & max 1024Mhz (recomended)
- run the recomended for at least 1 day, let the phone settle down - Important!!
- when the phone settled down, you can set the max to the freq that you desire
- add profile for screen off, use conservative, min 122Mhz & max 460Mhz (any lower and you may feel lag)
Setting ringtone/alarm sound
- open the music file with ES File Explorer, assign it as notification/ringtone/alarm

Brightness is at the lowest setting that you get with "disable auto brightness" enabled. And i even found that too much sometimes late at night.

I'm not trying to say that everyone should get the same battery life as me. In fact you should NOT get that much battery if you are using your android phone the way it was meant to be used.

What i'm highlighting here is that the version does not have a deep sleep issue at least. If it drains too much power while using some phone functions, that's different...
One twitter app that checks for new content every 5 mins would be enough to never let your phone deep sleep for example.
Anyway, after downloading an listening another 1.5 hour long podcast yesterday, here is the final picture before i charge my phone.

I have officially unlocked bootloader & followed all your steps ever used the given kernel but still get stuck on the boot screen & i waited for 5 - 8 mins to get a re-boot but nothing so i moved back to stock .42 ROM.....
So please let me know what is the solution for this .......

Did you do data and cache wipe?
Moreover.. You need to flash this over stock .42 rom, I hope you doing that.. If not can you do this and confirm pl.

And also try to pull out the battery and reboot. 1st boot may take some time as it create swap file on your system partition. If still stuck on second boot, pull out the battery and reboot again. Please report back. Thankz.

Agree with archijit ! It's either MIUI or this. MIUI has its own issues owing to porting from a different device ROM. For the time being sticking to this for stick feel at the same time power of new kernel and scrolling notification widgets. love it ... !

Yup i have done the same procedure given in your first post & followed each & every bit of it .... but still nothing as it always got stuck on the boot animation & ya i am flashing it on Stock .42 ROM......
Still i will try it once more ....

Please flash this STOCK CALENDAR for fully working calendar. r917 contains buggy calendar app (or you can install Google Calendar on playstore instead)

i dont know what is wrong but i did exactly like you said in flashing rom , but rom cannot read my sim , and when i turn the screen off it just turn on black and the screen is on ??

Instructions to install the ROM
Make sure you are on Official or Stock based ICS 4.1.B.0.587 or 4.1.B.1.13 Firmware
If you are in any other ROM like CM,PAC,AOSP,AOKP,MIUI,GB,JB--flash stock ICS ftf
Place the ROM zip in your SD Card
Reboot into Recovery
Wipe data/factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
Advanced> Wipe Dalvik Cache, Wipe Battery Stat
Mounts & Storage> Format data, Format Cache, Format System
Choose Rom zip to install
Finish Aroma Installer
Reboot from CWM
After 1st boot, complete setup wizard & give phone full charge & let it settle for 15-20 mins

This Rom seems beautiful & Good but have one query that this Rom have Xperia Z1 themed framework like Sahaabs Anzumi Rom but when i tried Anzumi Rom that time i faced too much Graphical glitches like coz of White Honami themed framework i can't see any font clearly :silly: coz font also white & framework theme also white so its pain to read anything in Rom & hard to use that Rom so is that same Graphical glitches have in your Xperia Z1 Rom @saqib nazm coz white framework always gives pain :silly:

I am using Vengeance. I am quite new to hdpi so I am not sure which kernel will give you best performance. Try one or two, changing kernel is a matter of 10 seconds about music tab, disable devices/semcDlna from settings app. If you want to use Dlna then reflash the Rom with full wipe I hope that will solve your issue :good:

It is really recommended to flash back stock when changing base. But you can try 1st time but If any problem occurs do flash stock

Just a question, the OP says people using some particular ROMs need to flash stock ICS ftf file. I am currently on Zelly Cream 3.0.1 ROM with Stock Kernel and Locked bootloader. So i think i need not flash the .ftf file, please correct me if I am wrong.

It's there in launcher settings you can find the option in drawer, drag screen from left most

Its because of the phonebook package I suppose you chose Xperia Z phonebook in aroma right? So you can replace with any previous phonebook package which worked fine for you anyways it won't harm in any way though
About Walkman I assume it runs out of ram, & it touches the minfree value which has been set for the rom, so check if many ram eaters are running background, cause I can listen to songs when using whatsapp

No bro I just checked, in updater-script & aroma the option of TTS is 1.9 & Emai is 1.10. So you might have mistakenly chose that instead of that. Sorry if I am wrong but I couldn't find a problem in scripts

- Nah, don't ever try to compare this one's performance with it's 4.2.2 brothers.
Why ?? I think u already know, this rom is half CM10.1 and half SONY 4.3 fw.
All SONY 4.3 fw are made for it's HIGH END devices that basically not our device, so they're very hungry in resources.
I HAVE and I WILL do my best to handle the performance degradation of using SONY's fw.
So don't complain to me IF you found this rom has worse performance than other 4.2.2 roms, complain to SONY instead..

2) PIE seems not working (although it has OSB but someone may prefer PIE than OSB)
3) Any option to change the carrier label in notification drawer?
4) How to change the DPI of the rom? Because the wifi & bluetooth switch looks different (not round but slightly oval )
5) Could I try to use seeder app on this rom? (Note: Just try )

Actually I made 210 for my Arc (because the screen is too large)
But u can change anytime to make u comfortable

When I changed it to 240 the standard one, I had 1/4th off the calculator cut.
That's it.
Although its nice WiTh 210 also ;P

IMPORTANT: FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK. We are not responsible for any bricked phones or damages caused due to phone. You lose warranty when you root/flash roms on your phone.
BATTERY: Keeping at 100% charged is recommended before flashing.

Install ROM
Clear Dalvik Cache & Reboot Phone.

OTA Update Instructions (Latest on top)
Installation Instructions after getting OTA Notification on Phone:
1) Run OTA Updater. If download is available click on "download" button
2) It will ask you following two options

____________Wipe Cache [Select]
Do not wipe data, else your data will be erased. << lolz :laugh:what a sentence?
3) Now phone will start in recovery mode.
___ Select SDCARD >> folder "Ota Updater" >> folder "Download" >> Select downloaded file and FLASH
4) When flashing is done "Wipe Dalvik Cache" and REBOOT. Done!
Instructions for Manual Flashing of OTA Updates:
1) Copy on SDCARD,
2) Flash Update ,
3) Wipe Dalvik Cache only and Reboot. No! Don't do Factory Reset, it will wipe your data.

Q-Should I try any other modified kernel?
Ans- This rom is Optimized to extreme level to give you best performance. This smartly tweaked rom comes with Stock kernel which have confirmed advantage of No Bugs, Reliability, Good Battery Backup and Superb Power performance. It is advised that you try this rom with included stock kernel for few days and then if you are not satisfied, you are free to flash any kernel you want. Custom kernel can be flashed but results are not always as expected. If you face any issues on other kernel, I cannot help you and you should contact kernel developer for further help.
EDIT: Just to add, heavy games like Asphalt8 and NOVA3 runs like butter. And most of the gamers are getting more than 5 hours of game time in single charge which is unbelievable but true. I am not gamer, but other gamers have confirmed it.

A- Xposed works perfectly in all roms made by me. But make sure that Xposed Installer and all its modules are installed in Internal memory and not sd card .
____1) Run App Manager and Move "Xposed Installler" and "Graviti Box" or all other modules to Internal Memory.
____2) Run Xposed and in Frameworks again Run "INSTALL/UPDATE" and reboot.
____3) Now just UNCHECK Gravity Box and RE-CHECK Gravity Box.
This worked perfect on Z2 on my phone and that is my own screenshot attached below.
This method works on other roms too.

A- This is media file synchronization problem which may occur on any rom. You only need to rescan all media files with this small app. Download SD-Booster app from Play Store. Set cache value to anything above 1024k (2048k recommended). Check all the options as shown in Screenshot below. Press the green button at the bottom and grant supersu permission to the app. Wait for 2 to 5 minutes (depending on number of media files in your phone. Reboot
