Hi,
do you have also "a grey stain" in the middle bottom part of the LCD? It is mostly visible in low light while having some bright background.

Thank you, although via screenshot you can't share dead pixel I think (SW vs HW...).
Anyway, I really don't believe that my issue is really dead pixel, as it is "area" 4x4mm rather then a single pixel.

This is the 2nd phone with a dead pixel? Hopefully the next one won't have a dead pixel!
EDIT:
This time before you leave the store, double check and triple check everything is good.
Make sure the screen is in perfect condition and there's no dead pixels or dead spots.
You can also try to fix the issue yourself with a video that flashes primary colors rapidly. That can revive a stuck pixel. Sometimes a pixel is just stuck and not dead.

Sometimes people would want to be sure that it won't happen again so they'll just go and return the device and swap it.
More of a hassle but it kind of makes you feel a little bit better.
I notice there's like a small dent/warp looking area under the glass in the screen. It's only visible if you have the screen off and reflecting off some light like a desk lamp or something. Also it's easier to see if you tilt it and look at it from an angle and not just straight down at it.
It doesn't affect the performance and it doesn't blur/distort anything when I'm using it but I can see it's there. Do any of you have that under your screens? I mean it's not a huge deal but my ocd is kicking in haha.
Yup same here.
I noticed it recently under a bed lamp, its like a tiny warp kinda thing on the top half of my screen.
Maybe a few unlucky devices have this minor manufacturing defect?

Looks like the LCD display has flaws, have anyone contact the Samsung service?
Hey guys,
so I looked at the official Xiaomi Twitter page and notices something. This tweet has unboxing photos of the Mi 5 black. If you pay close attention to the homebutton it seems to look like it reflects light different than the rest of the phone and thus the button appears to be lighter in color.
Then I compared this to the pictures of the Xiaomi Homepage where the homebutton has the same tint as the device glass.
So maybe this is the cause for the delay of the black version. They are still figuring to match the colors of the device and homebutton.
Tell me what you think about this
EDIT: Added pictures

Whatever it is its taking way to long to release the black version.

Just took the attached picture and noticed it puts horizontal stripes across the white areas. Anyone else notice this?

It seems like less of a "problem" with the phone and more of a natural phenomenon (i.e. physics). The camera is simply capturing the natural flicker that our eyes can't perceive.
Hi guys,
since I woke up this morning there's a dead zone on my touch screen.
The left and right side (where the borders are) don't work. Can't use the side panel and the right and left buttons on my keyboard.
I don't know where this came from to be honest.
Can you help me please ?

As you can see on the test, the LCD works but I can only write in the borders if I start from the center but not the opposite way. it seems like something is on top of my apps and blocking
