Phone Battery indication on Android Wear - Sprint LG G3

I have a (new to me) G3 with a question. I can't seem to get the phone battery level widget working on my Asus Zenwatch.
I had a G2 paired with the watch and the watch always correctly displayed the phone battery level.
Is there some obscure setting for turning on the G3 battery level transmission to the watch via bluetooth?

Moto 360 with the ZU

Is anyone using their ZU with the Moto 360?
I'm wondering if there's still an issue with battery life.
I use the Moto 360 with the ZU and I actually made it thru the day yesterday from about 10am to 10pm and still had 40% battery life.
I think the initial reviews of the Moto 360's battery life issues were a bit overstated because everyone was constantly fiddling with it all day, but once the novelty period wears off and you just wear it and let it notify you throughout the day it does pretty good.
I will warn that I had ambient mode off meaning the screen is off until I either raise my arm to look at it or a notification or call etc comes thru. If you want to leave the screen on, you're looking closer to 3-6 hours max.
So after accepting that the screen will be off when I'm not looking at it anyway and I stopped constanly playing with it for no apparent reason it works out great (but on the first day I was pissed like every one else lol).
I've been using my Moto 360 with my Z Ultra GPE since the day after the initial launch. The most recent update has greatly increased the battery life. I took my watch off the charger this morning at 6:30am. It's now 5:22pm and my battery is at 67%. I use it regular throughout the day to check time and notifications and it's holding up very well. I am not seeing any negative effects on battery life for either the watch or my phone.
Bluetooth headset + Moto + ZU
Hello!
Ia anyone using such combo? How the voice transferred to the headset ?
I've been trying the Samsung Gear 2 (Tizen) and Smart Band Talk . Both are having problems with transferring the phone audio to the watch instead of the headset ..
Thanks!
i am able to make moto360 last 2days+ paired with my ZU
ambient mode is the key to making this watch last the whole day
Thank you everyone for the replies. I was thinking this could be a good workaround to have "always on" voice recognition similar to the Moto X or Nexus 6.
another user with Moto 360 and ZU. both are great pairs, and i able to go thru my day with 50% left.
Been using the Moto 360 and the ZU for a day now, and I have to say I love it. Best combo ever. The only quirk I had was when I first opened it (with 19% battery life) I had to charge it past 80% to do the update that was needed.

Greatly Improved Battery Life

I purchased my Zenwatch 2 about a month ago. At the time I had a Droid Maxx from Verizon. Battery life of the watch was as expected end of day I had around 30-35% left on the watch with always on screen turned off. I was happy with this as it seemed decent for a day of use without having to worry about usage.
I purchased the Droid turbo 2 day of release and have noticed a dramatic increase of battery life on the watch. As much as 3-4x as longer. End of day I now have 60-65% left on the watch with no changes to usage. Any one else experienced this or have reasoning to why a such dramatic increase occurred?
Prolly bluetooth 4.0+ low energy? Just taking a wild guess
Used my watch from 9am to 10pm yesterday, ended with 70% left. Shut it off overnight, back on at 630am. It is now 330pm and I have 49%. "Always-on" is off, been connected to BT entire time. Phone is a Nexus 5. I disabled Google Fit on the phone and watch (don't care about it) and that seems to have helped the battery on my phone and watch a LOT. I'm very pleased with the battery performance!
You can also turn off the wireless to save even more battery.
Sent from my SM-N900V
If you want to increase the battery life, then there are many options for that. such decrease brightness of the mobile. wireless off,Bluetooth off, put some time of silent mode.
Ive only had this watch about a week now. I have a LG G4. I have the screen always on and use Ambient mode. I use Styler and have Ambient mode set to 5 seconds. Disabled WiFi. Brightness set to 3.
I get about the same great battery life as from my LG G Watch. However because of the side button, what I do is double tap the screen to turn off the screen while I sleep and charge. Nice to keep the glare down. I also disable Bluetooth while at home and not wearing the watch. This has nothing to do with battery life, but just comparing.
I haven't disabled or enabled any Apps like fit. I keep location disabled on my phone. I think this prevents weather updates and some other Google Now notifications. 100% at 8am, its 1pm now and its at 88%. 12% in 5 hours. Pretty normal/heavy use. Lots of messenger and work/personal emails.
I forgot what settings I used but my wife's watch lasts 4 days. She wears it about 8 hours a day and uses the watch strictly for fit and notifications and replying. The first 24 hours only used up 8 percent.
Can I know if you guys enabled cloud sync and WiFi seems to be it is using significantly more battery as long as cloud sync is enabled even i turn off the WiFi manually on the watch
How can I turn off cloud sync?
It is on the privacy setting of the android wear on your phone
Ever since they updated Android Wear and ZenWatch Manager apps, mine seems to have better battery life.
I can also confirm the prolonged battery life without any hit on performance! Awesome!

Phone battery issues with Gear Fit 2

I recently got one of these, and had a couple questions related to battery life.
My phone is a OnePlus One running the latest COS 13.0.1 build (S254) and better life on the phone is significantly degraded since installing the Gear Fit Manager and S Health apps. I have the band set to only sync with S Health manually, and had generally been keeping the band connected via Bluetooth. I have a feeling the always connected via BT is what's killing my phone battery, but was curious as to what others are doing? Do you keep you band connected via BT or do you just rely on the Remote Wi-Fi connectivity? It appears that it only syncs with S Health via BT, so does anyone just connect it via BT once or twice a day to sync and leave it on Wi-Fi the rest of the time?
Just curious for any tips to save the battery on my phone. Battery life on the Fit2 itself has been pretty good so far, lasting a couple of days per charge which certainly meets my needs.
Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated!
Depend what you want ?
I use like an activity tracker, so no wifi never, and BT just 1 hour by day to sync data and update weather and daily schedule. I open SHealth on phone when I want to sync health data. So 23H / 24H with BT disabled on Fit2.
If you want act like a smartwach for notification keep BT ON all the day and phone near. Wifi is just for special case, wifi drain much battery, so just if you really can not have your phone with you.

Moto 360 sport information required

Hello.
I was looking to buy a Moto 360 SPORT as it was on sale on amazon.
I just wanted someone using it to tell me if it's worth it.
What features can i use offline and without a phone?
What essential features require me to be connected to the internet or a phone?
How's the battery life?
Is the GPS, heart rate, sport trackings all right?
I've read reviews saying the battery is poor. Any word?
Need help ASAP.
Thanks a ton.
Ashwin
The GPS is SLOW, but works. You need a phone to set it up, and install apps and watch faces without ADB (not 2.0). Battery lasted most of the day for me. If you forget your phone, you can connect to a Wi-Fi connection to go online and even text.

How's texting done? Only voice? Or is there a swiping keyboard? Is android wear 2.0 assured?
Thanks.
Android wear 2.0 is not assured. Swiping keyboard is not available. Battery is not great if you keep it connected to phone. Approximately 12 hrs on mixed usage with ambient display on. GPS and heart rate work superb.

New stratos.. why battery drain?

Just received my stratos last night and everything still stock. Went to sleep at 92% at around 1am and now 12 hours later it is at 61% with no music, gps usage. Only notifications and barely any interaction. Rebooted both phone and watch just in case that worked, but no.
Kindly advise why this 5 day battery watch is gulping away my juice?
So i read that bt is likely the culprit. Mine also constantly disconnects and reconnects even when watch and phone are with me.
I just changed setting to keep amazfit app always running and not to optimise bt tool, bt and amazfit app. Think this will prevent disconnect/reconnect? Let's see if this will stop the draining.
Or am i fighting a futile battle against a bug?
1. A few phones, notably Huawei models, have a problem where WiFi interferes with Bluetooth and you cannot get a stable connection, you can test this by putting phone in Airplane mode and enabling only BT and mobile data.
2. The watch may have bad antenna, to test this, pair it with a BT speaker or headphones and see how far you can get from the watch with the speaker/headphone. If it disconnects after only 30-50cm them probably it has bad antenna (normally GPS doesn't work as well in this case) and you should ask for a replacement.

It actually got disconnected after about 120cm away. Do i have a bad antenna?

120cm isn't very bad, can be interference. Bluetooth and WiFi use 2.4GHz frequencies. Any improvements when away from both your phone and router?
Non that I could notice.
Right now, the watch is in airplane mode and it barely lost 2% over the last 3hrs. I noticed when it was draining battery earlier on, bluetooth on my phone depleted 84% and almost killed my phone.

On average my is loosing 6% per night with continuous heart rate on and one alarm in the morning. I am on latest international firmware. Make shure that you do have a watch face which is updating only once a minute. Auto back light should be disabled at night.
My watchface has weather, calories and steps. I woke up with 93% at 6.30am. Auto-airplane mode off at 7.30am. It is now 79% after 7 hours just using notifications. Not very impressed with battery life. At this rate, I have to charge it daily or it will go flat in less than 3 days. I don't even dare to turn on continuous HR.

You are probably receiving a lot of notifications. I don't need notifications on my watch. It is for sports and I have a smartphone. Comparing to Garmin Vivoactive 3 I can say that battery life for me is the same. One exception is during long duration cycling it is consuming more energy because of the bigger display which is always on.
So far maybe about 30-40 Whatsapp messages/notifications. Is this a lot?

I lost 10% within an hour that was when I noticed it was disconnected and failed to reconnect back. At this rate, it isn't even going to last me 2 days. This is really disappointing.
Try doing a factory reset on the watch. This fixed battery issue for me. Before it ate the battery in 24hours with nothing enabled. Now its 1 day 12hours since last charge and 81% remaining.
Worth a try..
Why would a factory reset be necessary on a new watch? It is less than 48 hours out of the box with nothing installed. Would a factory reset even be useful in this case?

Beats me. Should'nt be necessary. But it worked for me. Hope it works for you too.
It's gone crazy after a reset. The charging will disconnect/reconnect non stop, even when attached to a PC via usb outlet. Stratos' drive will connect/disconnect non-stop as well. The only way I can charge the watch now is if I switched the watch off, if not it can't charge. It doesn't appear to be a charging issue since it can charge when watch is off. Factory reset multiple times and updated to latest fw still the same.

Battery drain issues
My new Stratos also facing battery drain issues here, at first when i pair my watch to my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 3) is was fine. Battery drain percentage was not too horrible. On the next day, my watch started to received notification regarding my phone is too far away from my watch, but i notice that my phone is just nearby my side. Plus, this notification can be received a couple times a day. Then i notice that my watch is drain battery very fast, about 10% per hour.
On the same day, i unpair my watch from my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 3), and pair my watch to another phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 4). *Note, please backup your data from your watch if needed, because once you unpair the watch from phone it will do a factory reset. (Is a pain in the ass that i have to re-download the watch face again). And charge up my watch to full 100% at 10PM at night and leave the watch bluetooth continue pair with my phone over night. On the next morning around 6:30 am, when i check on my watch battery percentage, its only drop 1%.
Still unable to confirm whether the issues is it cause from both of my phone having different BT version (Note 3 is BT 4.0) and (Note 4 is BT 4.1), or my Note 3 is already old and the circuit board are having problem. I still need to monitor this battery drain issues on my Note 4 to confirm the result. Hence, I'm not a heavy user, i don't received a lot of notification everyday.
