Format it as fat32 in your recovery
Yeah I too faced issues so I had to reformat it as probable storage. I'm using SanDisk's fastest 64gb storage

I notice that anything I download goes to that folder. What is that? Is that on the sd card or internal memory?

You said ExSD. ExtSD is the external memory card; you can change your download location for the stock browser in settings, and the camera app will automatically detect a memory card and ask you.
Hi,
i have a 64 gb sdcard and it seems useless to me since i found out that "moving android/data/xy" to sdcard doesnt work. (btw the app wants to download all data again because he dont "looks" if there are the data on sdcard) Is there a workaround? Im thinking about a 16 GB sdcard then... :/
For Game Loft games and a few others, I use the app 'GL to SD' - works great!

micro sd card is quite cheap now , get at least a min 32gb , now i dont even know what to do with my old 8 gb card , use it as a toothpic ? lol
And that does not work with CM 10 without apps?
What are theese apps exactly do? Isnt there anything possible to do without extra apps? I have much time!
use GL to SD
else, format it as fat32 and use directory bind

There is a mod out there which switches your internal sd into external and vice versa, so you have 64GB internal sd storage after installing that mod.

Hello. I've been having a problem with my SGS2 i777. (СM 10.1 NIGHTLY 2013/02/07)
My phone mount external SD Card (32gb), but does not use a memory card. I can't unmount SD Card, because unmount button is not active (See screenshot), and I can't move programs to the SD Card using the app2sd. (Sorry for my english, I have a basic level.)
Please help.
You might try formatting the SD card in your PC. I had a similar problem back when I first rooted my phone and that worked for me.

Yes, I can mount.
Then you should be able to use it properly with move to SD option in the Applications Setting. If that is what you are trying to do.

I'm trying move apps to SD, but it doesn't work. Memory is not simply used. On the memory card created in the folder LOST.DIR.
But my internal SD Card filled, if I move app to SD.

Are you trying to use that Apps2SD? I don't recommend it. Just go to Setting >> Applications and move the apps from there.

No, filled internal SD card for 16gb. On my phone 16gb internal memory, and external sd card 32gb and the sd card is not filled.
SMH.
so move the crap that is filling the 16gb internal to the external (backups, music, movies, pictures, etc)

So if I move, it will be filled again. Not music, pictures, videos, etc., fill applications. Again there will be the problem.

Hi,
CM offers to format the SD card as internal storage. I guess this is necessary to move apps to sd?
Can anybody tell me the pros and cons of that feature?
Any issues with TWRP and a internal sd format?
What about updating / flashing ROM?
Any other issues?
havent tried it, ofcourse it asked me too though, but i did not choose it,
you can go ahead and choose it ON AN EMPTY SD CARD and see what happens and you can probably tell me so that i can give a try:laugh: all the best:good:

Technically, that option formats your SD to be fused with your internal storage. So you wouldn't be needing to "move" the apps anymore. The pro is, you will have a larger internal memory, the cons are; 1. You can't insert your SD in other devices anymore. Only in your phone. 2. Some users reported that they can't access the storage after formatting.
Flashing and updating ROMs should work just fine.

Thanks! Do you know how this is technically realized? Is the sdcard just formatted with some unix file system and than mounted to /data instead of the internal volume?
Or is it really merged with the internal storage by LVM volume or something like that?

It is merged. For example we have 10GB of storage usable and you have a 16GB card, you will then have about 25GB of internal storage.

i don't recommend to use any SD card as internal Card unless Class 10 with capacity 16GB . otherwise keep it external =)

It is a Class 10 Card but with 64GB capacity. Why would the capacity make any difference in this setup?
Is the internal storage faster than a class 10 card?

He was more referring to the class. Because any class lower than 10 would give low performance.

I've done that 1 month ago, I don't remember exact CM13 version (cm-13.0-20161015-NIGHTLY-kiwi.zip or cm-13.0-20161022-NIGHTLY-kiwi.zip). I always update my CM13 by TWRP.
After sd card merge and encryption, TWRP didn't ask about encryption password.
Since, I've gone back : now, my sd card is external and I didn't crypt my phone again.

No error at startup, but TWRP (3.0.2) was unable to mount partitions (it seems quite normal because no password was asked to decrypt partitions). So it was impossible to update CM13, OpenGApps, etc...
space was not the issue the class was the main thing . and about ur issue i recommend that u do stock then root again !
Hi guys! I'm thinking about getting a Mipad4, just wonder if I can also get a SD card & format it to internal storage? thx!
Were you able to do this?
Just bumping this up, is it possible to use sd card as internal storage? Or adoptable storage please?
Yes it is. I am using a 200gb card in my Mipad 4 as internal memory.

Yes most of the apps but not all. Some modules in EdXposed will not work so you have to move them to the real internal memory.
How did you set this up? Is there a particular ROM or was this installed later? Did you use a tool to set the partition? Perhaps a link to docs and downloads would help if you have them.
