Its just a Generic NON branded rom for your region, are you on O2 or T-Mobile currently then it will remove the branding and bloat ware they install

but device give error on recovery screen while updating
after bootup splash screen says try updting with smart switch
anyone apply this update? Does it worth?

1. Extract (un-rar) the firmware file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin) ***
2. Download Odin v3.14.4
3. Extract Odin ZIP file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin)
4. Open Odin v3.14.4
5. Power OFF your Fold 5G
6. Reboot Phone in Download Mode: Connect USB-cable to your computer. Hold down "Volume up" and "Volume down" at same time. While holding down, connect the USB-cable to your phone.
7. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
8. Add the firmware files to their designated slots (AP in AP, BL in BL, CP in CP, HOME_CSC in CSC). USERDATA stays EMPTY!
9. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
10. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
*** You can always find the LATEST firmware in msg #2

Flashing this BTU firmware won't unlock your device though...
Could you go to Software Info on your device and post that info here from top to bottom (screenshot)...
Be advised: this firmware is for UN-locked devices only (Multi-CSC OXM)!

Does it not? Thought the network lock was based on the CSC. Guess I'll just get the code.
And I'm at work right now and using my work phone, my Fold is back at home.

Why did you quote the whole message?
It's not possible to change the CSC from BTU to SER...
Maybe it could be done by a Samsung Service Point in your country, but you can't do it yourself...
I'm assuming this is for the 5g fold only?

Thanks a lot for your answer, may be I made a mistake flashing the firmware downloaded with frija...I think I used Odin without inserting the italian sim, this evening I'll retry. The problem is that I have un unbranded German Galaxy Fold, but with DBT mobile operator software

Go to "Software Info" on your device, scroll down to "Software Serviceprovider".
When your Italian SIM is in your device, you should see at least DBT/ITV/DBT
When you see DBT/DBT/DBT, you can't change your CSC.
