i do factory reset and cache nothing change
BTU is in the same country code as XEU, so if you were to flash another countries code. Let's say, THL, which is Thailand. After you flash THL, clear all the cache and data. It'll change from BTU to THL. After flash XEU again to change CSC codes. I've done it plenty of times, maybe there is another way. But it also doesn't hurt to check out other providers to see if it'll give you better performance.

I have a SII which has been imported in to New Zealand, it was 2.3.4, with a SMO CSC
Locally there has just been a 4.0.3 upgrade avaliable, I've downloaded the VNZ (Vodafone NZ) and flashed it with odin.
The upgrade to 4.0.3 went great, but the CSC has remained at SMO, so now Keis is reporting that "your device does not support software upgrading via keis"
PDA: I9100XWLP7
phone:I9100XXLPS
CSC: I9100VNZLP2
I've tried the CSC changes, and this only give me the option of the SMO CSC.
Any idea on how to fix this, I would if possible like to have VNZ as the CSC

flash ur stock rom,its obivious tht the csc will change wat u expect man...an always hav a efs backd up....
wipe using code, after that if still doesnt change flash againusing odin and wipe again using code.
will work, iv seen ics requires twice flashing for csc fix, GB worked usually with one flash and wipe code

Essentially its make your mind up time Stick with Kies and official firmware or use Odin .
This attempt to mix and match does not always work .

Hello,
first, sorry for my Bad English...
So here is my Problem:
Bought S3 in Germany, also CSC = DBT
I flashed Omega V5.1 then i wanted back to origin Firmware, so i used TriangleAway and then flash the original Firmware with DBT (Downloaded it here in the Forum), now the Firmware is on the Phone, but KIES say it is not supportet...
KIES show CSC = EUR
How can this be? I flashed DBT, i can not change it with *#272*imei#, because there is only EUR to select
CAN PLEASE ANYBODY HELP ?!?!?
I recently wanted to change my csc to make my s3 updatable via KIES. Found that if I flashed to the UK (BTU) stock, when I did *#272*imei#, it presented me with many more options than my actual carrier stock.
I used to have an ATL CSC (Vodafone Spain) and I flashed my phone with the German firmware. After flashing it, I still had the ATL CSC but I did a hard reset and now it's DBT. So, I recommend you to do a hard reset but bear in mind you'll lose everything you have: SMS, contacts, etc.

Whst network were you on before?
To give you a quick background, I have an unlocked i9300 that I use in the US. The current CSC code is VD2, which I believe is Vodafone Germany.
I would like to update my CSC number to an unbranded variant for the following reasons:
- Don't have to deal with carrier branding (nothing works anyway when I try to access from US)
- I can get the latest FW/Modems/Kernel without waiting for carrier to catch up
- Want to avoid using ODIN / bricking phone / loosing IMEI number
From what I've read so far, CSC code BTU is UK Unbranded and seems to get the latest updates like the LH1 modem, but when I run the *#272*IMEI_num# code, BTU is not one of the options that shows up. Neither does KOR and XEU. (I guess this only applies to the S2?)
So I would like to know...
1. What is the "best" CSC for unbranded firmware that will receive updates quickly
2. Is my concept correct to just update CSC and then I can use KIES to update my phone to the latest available Modem/FW/Kernel for that CSC.
3. I don't have to worry about loosing unlock on my phone.
Thank you!
I purchased an SIII in Australia that is unbranded and not tied to a carrier. The CSC for this is XSA. However, I was initially having battery life issues so decided to flash the Stock Vodafone Australia ROM (carrier I use) to see if there were any network optimisations that I was missing out on. There didn't seem to be, so I flashed back to an XSA rom.
HOWEVER - it now seems that my CSC has been changed from XSA to VAU, and even though I have flashed back to an XSA ROM, the CSC hasn't changed back properly. I don't want to delay getting OTA updates by being associated with VAU, and have to flash the updates manually.
Can anyone advise how I can get back a proper XSA product code?
Before flashing to VAU ROM: See attached Before.jpg
After flashing back to XSA ROM: See attached After.jpg
When I use the *code to open up the CSC menu, there are no optioned listed to change back to the XSA CSC See attached CSC.jpg
Change Product Code ????
Or change CSC .
CSC loads of posts on the subject including CSC thread in the Guide .

Well, I'm not sure what the difference is. My 'Product Code' is what has the VAU in it, but when I launch the CSC changer,it shows VAU there as well, but the CSC is the Sammobile app shows XSA.
The CSC changer apps just launch the CSC changer in the phone as far as I can tell (As per my screenshot attached), but there are no options in that list for me to select.

You can flash a different CSC firmware as they're all OXM. I have yet to see a region that isn't OXM for this device, but you should check it just in case.
I own a TGY device myself, but have since then switched to a different region as TGY tends to be on the slow side of getting updates.
Obtain the latest firmware using Frija and flash it with Odin and it should work. Just be sure you flash HOME_CSC so you can keep your data.
Thanks for the reply.
Any luck with that?
On my s7 wifi tab it doesn't change and i've tried multiple firmwares .. .

I'm having the exact same issue. I want to change the CSC from ARO (Argentina) to KOO (Korea)
I've tried SamFW FRP Tool and I get:
Code:
Checking ADB connection...
Using port SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem (COM3)
Enabling ADB... FAIL
Changing CSC to KOO ... FAIL
Rebooting... OK
On Odin everything seems to be ok but once it's finished I check the CSC on SamFW FRP and it still shows CSC: ARO.
And on Software Information (on the tablet), it shows OXM_ARO as well. This is extra weird because the update itself installs just fine. But the CSC region won't change.
Any hep is appreciated.

The only Non-OXM firmware is the chinese one.
EDIT: Just tried the Google Phone Go apk + *#*#27262826#*#* method. Doesn't work either.
