Even while charging, nothing show up over the screen. Can I fix this by myself? or do I need to send it to the shop for repair?

Hi,
I got a HTC Legend with a broken screen and digitizer.
I replaced the screen and digitizer without any problems.
I turned on the phone, and the screen went on and showed the android boot screen.
30 seconds later the screen went blank, and now it doesn't work.
It's like the screen displays white/black pixels every second ribbon
The phone still turns on and plays the "startup sound".
I have cheched the ribbon cables, but they all seem fine.
Is the screen broken or is it something else?
Any suggestions to what the problem is?
Thank you for your time
My Legend screen was cracked a few days ago after the phone fell, I was looking to get a new screen as well. Where did you get your replacement screen from? It looks like you got a faulty screen based on what you've said.
Hello, I'm new to this forum, and to Android too.
So my problem is this, i have ZTE Grand X In and i have problem with my screen. I have 2 years warranty for the phone and i already gave phone to the service in T-Mobile. They replaced the LCD screen, they gave my mobile back, but the problem is still there. Sometimes my screen is black but the screen is reacting to touches not a problem, but the screen is black, it is turned on but it's black, and sometimes it turns on, but some glitchy lines, white and colorful lines is showing on screen. I don't know if it's graphic card or motherboard or something. I already tried recovery mode {power, volume up,} {power, volume down} {power, volume up,home button} {power, volume down, home button} and it doesn't work after all. I really don't know what to do.
If you could help me i would be happy.
My phone was working fine when I went to bed last night. I laid it on my night stand and this morning I noticed I couldn't get the screen to light up. The blue LED was blinking like I had messages. The Menu and Back buttons light up when I press them, and I can even hear when someone is calling me, but because the screen will not light up, I can't answer. The phone screen is in near perfect condition, not a scratch or crack on it and I also have a cheap protective screen over it.
Hoping it was just a glitch, I removed the battery and held the power button for about 45 seconds and powered it back on. Same thing, black screen during the entire boot process, no logos or anything. I also tried to boot it in safe mode with same results. There is only one time that the screen shows any signs of life and it only happens when I first power it on. In the top left corner for a split second, where the usual "Bootloader is unlocked" message appears, it displays a small rectangle of colored artifacts inside that small message area.
I assume the LCD went out, but I'm concerned it could also be related to the GPU or other hardware, and so don't want to spend a lot of money buying a LCD if it's something else. I can still connect it to the PC, so I'm hoping someone knows how I can test the hardware from the PC, or at least recommend something. Right now the phone is ringing and I have no idea who it is...this sucks!

Hello guys, some days ago, my Honor 7 dropped from like 30 cm, and touch screen stopped working, also screen BUT the phone is taking light from some where, I mean, screen light's up, but can't see antyhing. I don't think, its the screen problem cuz it doesn't even shatter, phone was in case.
Hello XDA.
The screen on my LG G3 Verizon (vs985) has been acting weird and I really would like a second opinion about if I have a screen issue on my hands or if it is a motherboard problem. I included pictures below.
Screen responds to double-tap-to-wake, and buttons still work. I'm able to turn phone off by pressing power button (as long as it normally takes to display Power Menu), then tapping on where the Switch Off button ought to have been displayed. Apparently, motherboard sends stuff to screen, but screen unable to visibly display it.
I've been using motherboard since it was bought new 6 months ago so I really doubt it's the motherboard, but I could be wrong. Screen is over 4 years old. The best way would have been to try another trusted motherboard (if screen is still not normal, then it's DEFINITELY screen's fault). So in the absence of such a conclusive test, I would appreciate opinions.
Thanks.

SOLUTION: It turned out to be a screen problem (screen was replaced and voila!).
