After i installing the remix os and enable auto time sync, i can't auto sync time on my windows 10. It says syncing error.
i install the beta version of remix os for pc on my computer hard drive. Boot on legacy.
Although i have uninstalled the remix os, windows still can't perform auto time sync.
Does anyone have idea how to fix this problem?
Thanks.
For me time sync works, but windows now sync wrong time zone. After every boot i have to go into clock settings, set wrong time zone and then my time zone again to get the right time.

How to change / edit android GMT to UTC ?
Does anyone know how to change android time GMT to UTC ?.. Windows 10 already using UTC and to put that "realtimeisuniversal" registry fix doesn't work. Already google how to change windows 10 UTC to GMT..seems impossible. On various Linux based OS its possible but on Android (especially Remix OS for PC) seems hard to find. Tried the command "hwclock -w" also doesn't work. Is the kernel clock or whatever buggy or something?..

OK! But, my time zone setting seems to be right at first place. The auto sync didn't work for me. And, if i change the time zone to other time zones, the time is still wrong for that time zone.
Thanks for your reply!
If you dual boot your Windows PC with OS X or Linux, you may have experienced a problem in which your clocks reset themselves incorrectly every time you boot into Windows. Here's a simple registry edit to fix that.
Essentially, the incorrect clock setting happens because OS X and Linux use GMT time while Windows tries to synchronize with your local time zone, getting confused when you reboot between the two.
To fix it, just hit Start and type
Code:
regedit.exe
in the search box. Hit Enter and navigate to
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation
. Right click anywhere in the right pane and hit
Code:
New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name it RealTimeIsUniversal
then double click on it and give it a value of
Code:
1
Let me know how you go.
Kind of fix...at least for me..
I just tested Phoenix OS (triple booting) Windows 10 x64 & Remix OS.. somehow switching between windows 10 & phoenix os seems no problem with clock setting while when switching from remix os to windows 10 the annoying problem of clock setting is back.
Fully uninstall remix os seems a fix to me . So until remix os became stable..I won't use remix os for the time being..or maybe forever.
Btw Phoenix OS is much the same as Remix OS.. but why Phoenix OS for PC doesn't have official XDA forum ?...

Thanks, I have some question about uninstallation of remix os.
Do you uninstall it just using the uninstaller.exe in the remix os folder? I have done the uninstallation and the auto time sync of my windows still doesn't work.
BTW, after i uninstall it, only data.img file and uninstaller.exe are still in the remix os folder. It is normal right?maybe?
Thanks, anyway!
Yes just use the uninstaller, the Uninstaller filer and the data.img stays in RemixOS folder, you can copy the data.img to somewhere if u want to install RemixOS again and reuse it. Or you just can delete the RemixOS Folder.

OK!! Got it!! Thanks!! My windows auto time sync still messed up though.
This worked for me.

Worked for me.
Anyway, Jide's engineers already said it will be fixed next build.

This happened to me too
What i did to fix time was to go into time/date settings. Windows 10. The PC settings metro style app and changed the sync switch from on to off then back to on for it sync time. Windows 10
Thnkas, i have tried it before, but it still says syncing error. I start yo think it's windows's problem.
Thanks anyway!

Check & start Windows Time service if its turned off (set startup type to automatic) try any time server provided by windows in time & date settings, reset windows firewall or any firewall. Also you can try restart router if using one or try any internet connection you can connect. If all failed, then there only one option..reset for Windows 10, or Format for any previous Windows.
other simple tricks to fix this is to set manual time on windows and on remix os or phoenix os or other android x86 project ( yes you read me, set it manual both on windows and android)

Already setting both of them in manual since this is the only way to at least make the time right. Thanks.
hey, i have a surface pro 3 triple booting windows 10, phoenix os, and kali linux. I have the same issue with the time being off every time I boot into Phoenix OS where it goes berzerk and I have to manually go back and change it. A quick fix that works for me is to click on the clock in the bottom right corner, click on date and time settings, under set time automatically, toggle the slider (off then back on). This sets the time back to normal on windows 10. I followed the registry fix tutorial and added a new value, but I didn't test if it works yet. I exported it to a file and attached it below so you guys can quickly import the change without having to navigate the registry yourself.
EDIT: I tried rebooting my computer into Phoenix OS and back into Windows 10 and the time seems to be consistent. The registry tweak seems to have helped. We need more people to confirm if this works for them or not.

OK! Thanks for the handy reg file!!
I have this time problem on both my tablet and laptop. After doing the registry tweak. No more time inconsistency in my tablet which is Android/windows 10 duel boot. Unfortunately, the tweak did not work on my laptop on which the Remix OS for PC is installed in USB flash drive and booting from windows boot menu. Time changes every time when switch (reboot) form Remix to windows. Any idea? thanks very much!

Hi there,
I have recently purchased the Windows Surface 3 and is attempting to load remix os alongside the existing windows os.
I have referred to numerous tutorials and suggestions to dual boot/load from usb. However, regardless of the method used, I am unable to select remix os during boot. The device boots straight to Windows 10 without allowing me the option to select the OS i would like to use. I already have secure boot disabled in UEFI and have attempted to install remix onto both ntfs and fat32 partitions, which did not yield any results thus far.
EDIT: I've solved the problem by disabling fast startup in windows. Hope this would help anyone who are facing the same problem.
How did you install that in your hard drive. Is there any partition that you have to make? What version oof the remix os have you installed on your Surface 3?

Hey there,
You could create a partition. Howver, I actually skipped that and installed it directly into my C drive (your Win10 OS is not affected). These are the things I've done in sequence to get it up and running.
1. Turn off encryption via Settings>System>About
2. Turn off fast startup (google this, its first in the list)
3. Turn off secure boot in UEFI
4. Download and install 64bit Remix OS
I'm using the latest marshmallow version. However, the touch screen does not seem to be working for me, while the type cover and its touchpad works. Do let me know if u manage to get it working somehow!
Hope this helped you.

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit
Motherboard: MSI Z97-X-Power AC
BIOS: UEFI
Secure Boot: OFF
Remix OS ISO: Remix_OS_for_PC_Android_M_64bit_B2016101201
Remix OS install tool: Remix_OS_for_PC_Installation_Tool-B2016080802
I am having trouble installing Remix OS on my MSI PC.
Every time I attempt to install Remix OS on my PC using the install tool, it ends with "Installation Failed" error. The install tool seems to successfully copy files to the specified partition. But the problem seems to occur when it attempts to install the bootloader.
I mounted the boot partition & checked it. In all my attempts at running the install tool, it never adds anything to the boot drive.
Please note, I am using a fresh installation of Windows 8.1. There are no security programs installed. Windows Defender is disabled. I have attempted installation using the built-in Administrator account, so there should be no permissions issues.
Can anyone tell me how to manually add the GRUB bootloader manually? I want to achieve what I have with my laptop (GRUB displaying "Windows/Remix OS"...and then Windows Boot Manager loads).

So i dont know why it takes soooo long that the support sends me a answer... So im waiting to hear from the support. But i installed just for the moment with rufus Remix OS on mz external HDD and it works verz smooth. My USB sticks were too slow thats why i use my HDD.
But thats just a solution till i know why this error came on the Remix OS Installer.
Why are theren no other people here which maybe have a solution or a workaround
Same problem

I am also finding the installation failing at the point of installing bootloader. Would appreciate any help you can give.
same for me on my windows qp chinese tablet. Any workaround yet?
I had the same problem. I solved it by doing the following.
First, i tried installing some "Remix OS for PC Hacked Edition", and to my surprise, it worked. The OS boot selection, and the OS both worked well.
Then, I tried installing the original Remix OS again, with the normal method, I selected not to delete my data, and there was no error this time. I'm using it right now
So basically I did the dual boot thing where I had to partition my hard drive and install Remix OS in there, just that stuff. So after restarting my laptop, the dual boot screen came up, I was given the option of Windows 10 or Remix OS so I clicked Remix OS. After that it loaded up everything was working, I signed into my gmail account and all that good stuff. Basically, everything was working as it should. So then something came up in real life and I shut my laptop. I come back and hour later and open my laptop and I'm greeted to the regular Windows 10 user login screen, but I just guessed that Remix OS used the same lock screen. However when I logged in, my regular windows home screen came up. Now it's just like Remix OS has disappeared from my laptop even though it's installed. I have tried to fix it for 2 days now and can't find any fixes. So here are my questions: 1. How come when I opened my laptop was I back on Windows 10 and where did Remix OS go? 2. How can I fix this?
Anyway, if there's any information you need to help me out, just ask and I will answer you.
Thanks!
Possibly an issue with the way you shut it down ? Do a reinstall which will also prompt you to uninstall the previous version 1st. Should not be a major issue. My dual boot shows up every time.
I reinstalled mine probably 3-4 times to see how it worked on external HDD and the main computer.
My only issue is tethering. Doesn't connect when I'm in RemixOS. That's my only internet access for about 3 years now.
By the way, I did not install it on a separate partition. Try to install as a computer app on the same partition as your windows. It will create all the files needed and also delete all of them when you uninstall. Just make sure you put the .iso file somewhere you can get to easy. I extracted mine into the download folder where the zip was also. Seems to work just fine.
I've recently saw that many people is saying that Windows 11 is full of bugs, you cannot open Adobe Premiere, because Windows shut's it down every 30 minutes. So I've been thinking, are these problems solved, do you recommend me install Windows 11? As it says in the title, how do I install it without taking any programme or file of my computer?
Thanks, Cheers

I'm running Windows 11 since it became available and never encountered any bugs - at least it doesn't shut down every 30 minutes.
Windows 11 is solid as hell. People getting issues likely didn't do a clean install. 'Upgrading' via windows update is a surefire way to end up with problems.
Strong recommend a program called "StartAllBack" to replace the horrible taskbar but otherwise Win11 is rock solid stable.
try to upgrade through updates, or install from the image without deleting the previous Windows

This has always been a foolhardy way to go from one windows version to another. Just backup your files and start fresh, you will feel better for it and so will your OS stability.

Yes, same settings to me. Clean install - StartAllBack and no issues so far. Performance probably the same i would say. Window animations a bit more neat - against Win 10
But back to OP - to keep your data, you need a upgrade while in windows - via Windows Update or via mounted ISO or USB Stick...
is there a program to make a backup od system and apps to do clean install of win 11 on my Intel NUC 8, i did upgrade, but some things stay on english and some are on my mother tongue. win 10 which were on pl, were on my mother tongue..
i suppose no way except manual backup of files, but just asking. i will download image from microsoft website.

Adobe Premiere, shut's down your computer / laptop because your computer was told to shutdown. Under tasks. The reason why it shut's down is because you most likely have an incompatible driver installed. Check your pc company website for the correct drivers. Going to windows 11 may not fix your drivers.
I don't recommend you update to Windows 11
Windows 11 does not recommendable. Stay connected with your current update.
I'm one of those old fashioned people who sticks with reliable software instead of going cutting edge. I did upgrade from Vista to 7 Pro, but resisted upgrading to Windows 10 for many years. When I finally did upgrade, I had so many problems with consumer builds of Windows 10 (Home, Pro, etc) that I decided to switch to Enterprise LTSC. It's been rock solid for several years now; I don't get plagued with constant updates or "feature" pushes.
I personally don't have any experience with Windows 11, although I'm skeptical if it's any significant improvement over 10. I refused to upgrade to 8.1 for this reason.
That being said, if you're currently running a consumer version of Windows 10, you should in theory be able to upgrade to Windows 11 fairly seamlessly. That's not to say the upgrade won't cause problems. YMMV, however, and you're going to have to make that determination based on your own priorities.

When you upgrade/reinstall Windows, your files are typically in a folder on root called Windows.old, and from there you can take your backup within the drive
Which is most stable to mac for me?
And which is easy to install on mac?

Maybe it's because of a license/activation. Windows Server 2022 Edition has a similar behavior shutting down every 2 hours without activation.
