Dear all,
I am trying to install CM12 on my LG G2 mini. I have root access.
First I tried installing the CM12 zip file through a through Google Play downloaded version of TWRP, but in the recovery it gave the error: stage_empty & stage_fill in the bottom of the screen.
Afterwards, I tried to install a LG G2 mini specific version of TWRP through Rashr, and when it tried to install the TWRP zip, it gave the same above mentioned error in the recovery.
What am I doing wrong?
Kind regards,
Janberto

These errors are related to bitmap images. I was not able to find much information about these errors.
I need some more info about the state of your phone. Are you able to access it? If so, what android version do you have installed? If not, what do you experience when you try to access it?

Tnx for your reply!
In the end I managed to flash TWRP and thereafter CM13.
However, Google play does not work, and when I flash CM13 again the crooked version of GApps is still installed. I will try to install the 05-03-2016 release of CM13 today and install GApps from opengapps.
Hope it will work

Issues with Rom Flashing... "Install update.zip signature verification failed"
Hello
I am new in the World of Xiaomi and MIUI
I bought a Redmi Note 2 and it had the Oppomart MIUI-Version ist 66.77.33.00 (LHMCNCH)I Stable on it. I am a german user.
I found out that the Rom was not official and it contained useless apps and I couldnt use root either. So I wanted to flash different Roms. After some tries and researches I could flash an inofficial german Rom. But with that I couldnt use Xposed Installer so I wanted an original Rom. I flashed miui_HMNote2_5.10.15_8097474ec2_5.0. But that seems to be completely for chinese users. You can choose english language but there is no google account and no google apps. No play store, nothing. just chinese browsers, chinese apps and the MI Store completely in, guess what, chinese.
And now I cannot flash any Rom. I tried to go back to other Roms, like the german miuidecuro_REDMINOTE2_5.9.24_5.0 that i used before but nothing worked. I keep getting an error telling me "Install update.zip signature verification failed" I wiped all data, made a factory reset but nothing worked. I would even be happy to have the oppomart version back. It was annoying but had at least the playstore
Please help me
If you have any rom > 5.10.15 you can't flash previously roms.
Install TWRP or an old fastboot rom

Thanks. I never used TWRP. Do I have to download and install it on the phone as an apk file or on the Computer? Sorry I am new and when I google these things I only get more confused. What is the difference between the flashtools MiPhone2015731 and TWRP?
Is it possible to use Stock Android on the note 2 instead of MIUI?

Xioami has started to use licence or something for their roms. So multilanguage rom cant acceptable anymore on orginal system. Twrp is recovery mod for Android devices. Its very simple to install and use. And no you cant. Because nobody doesnt make any stable aosp or something rom. We are waiting.
mee to.
put rom file into internal sotrage, then update ok.
Visit TWRP by going to install and then there must be a hack because you have to do away
Ok. Is there a TWRP App for all phones or does it have to be for Redmi Note 2?
I download the apk, put it on the SD Card and install it from there, is that right? Can I flash the hermes rom from there for Europe?
I never did that so I really have no clue how to do that. The phone is nearly useless right now. I gotta fix this somehow. Thanks for everyone who helps

Hi.
Cant you install a rooted stock rom with stock recovery? Then you need the right TWRP for our phone.
Heres one place where you can find it. http://www.mediafire.com/download/6sf0fsm8vx2o948/twrp287.zip
First try flash it with Mi recovery.
If not you need to download an app from playstore "flashify" with it you flash TWRP. You need a img file so you may have to unzip the recovery.zip
I have flashed Xiaomi.EU 5.10.8 Weekly which is rock stable. You should flash Chainfires last Supersu and install Google Now Launcher if you like something more "stock" and have a appdrawer..
Thanks

Ok thanks I will try that. A few hours ago I managed to flash the xiaomi.eu european version of the 5.10.15. Can I stll flash Roms with that?
Another problem is that I cannot use Xposed Installer and google now launcher. Is that normal?

ok good.
Then i would go to play store an download Flashify . Unzip the TWRP zip, and flash the recovery.img with flashify.
You can also backup kernel and recovery with this app. Its very easy and straight forward.
When you got flashed TWRP , use a file explorer with root privileges and delete the file "recovery-from-boot.bak" placed in System folder. If not you may loose TWRP after reboot.
TWRP is vital so you can make an nandroid backup of everything if/when something goes wrong. And of course flash everything else.
About Google Now Launcher, flash last Supersu zip from Chainfire in TWRP. Then you get permission to change default launcher.
I dont use Xposed for now so you have to Google it.
Only thing i miss is "Reboot to recovery" option, but a lot of apps can do this.
Thanks
Knievel

Ok thanks, I downloaded it. What exactly is the difference between Boot Image and Recovery Image?
Is there an AOSP Rom you can recommend? I really want to get rid of MIUI.

Hi.
Boot image here is kernel.
Im no big fan of Miui myself , but with the right launcher its quite ok.
I have tried a couple of the aosp roms here on Xda . Find them a little buggy, and battery life isnt very good either compared to Miui.
If/when Xiaomi release all needed sources, i think we will get good and stable Aosp and CM roms to flash too.
Thanks

Yes I don't like it either. But there are too many bugs in the Custom Roms. I just want a bug free Rom where I can use xposed

Just unzip the twrp zip. You can do it with a Root Explorer. Then you get a img file.
This img file you can flash with an app called Flazhify ( Google play Store, its free ).
Have you tried this?

Can you please share a link for old fastboot rom for redmi note 2?
Thanks.
I finally flashed MIUI 6 via FASTBOOT.
After that I copy the international version from here: http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/5-12-3-4.29098/
The "Update.zip Signature Verification Failed" problem was fixed - it did not check the signature.

Hi,
My phone came with 7.00.66 and it's not rooted. I tried to flash xiaomi eu roms via updater app, but it failed several times.
Also i tried to install twrp via updater app, but it also failed. Can you help me please. :crying:
I was thinking to do this:
1) flash official developer rom via updater app, and hopefully it won't show error, because it is official rom , and it is rooted (?)
2) flash twrp using this method
HOW TO FLASH TWRP RECOVERY VIA FLASHIFY
Warning: Redmi note 2 only (other phone need specific image)
Me and this forum are not responsable for any damage. Do at your own risk
1. download flashify app from playstore and give root acces
2. download img of twrp for redmi 2 note and put in your sd card (I prefer sdext root folder)
3. Open flashify, select "recovery image", find the img file you've downloaded
4. confirm flash, wait until it's done
5. you're now ready to reboot in twrp pressing "reboot now" from flashify.
you can also turn off your phone, press power and volume up and you'll be in twrp.
3) install xiaomi eu rom with twrp
Is this correct way?
I accidentally flashed TWRP to the boot instead of recovery. Whenever I turn on the phone it goes straight to TWRP. As it stands the phone is unsuable! AS far I understand it the way to fix this is to flash the phone's original boot.img to the boot. Is this correct? If so my phone is MT2L03 with the 5.1 update. Does anynone know of any link or could anyone PLEASE share their stock boot.img with me. I really need help!
Thank You.
Boot image is part of OS. If you want to install CM12, while you are in twrp, just transfer the cm12 rom and gapp from pc to your sdcard, then flash both. You get complete cm12 with its boot image.
But if you want stock boot image back, you can just flash the stock firmware using the 3 button boot. It is available in the "official stock firmware" section in the INDEX page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3149530
If you have difficulties doing that, let us know. I maybe can find it somewhere, but to be honest, I don't use stock anymore once CM is out.
Thanks. CM12 flash problem
I was able to find a b321 boot.img online so problem solved. The cm 12 flash is not working for me I keep getting an error while flashing TWRP keeps telling me that the cm 12.1mt2 file is specifically for the b322 bootloader but that my bootloader is "unknown" so its unable to flash.
Still haven't figured out what the problem is. I tried to install the specific 2.8.7.0 TWRP for the mt2l03 via the app but it gives me an error. When I try to flash it in recovery it still has no effect on the cm install. Maybe someone would be kind enough to guide me.

Try reading the OP for that ROM. It clearly states you have to be in b322.... Reading is key.

i do have b322. So the problem is not that. the problem was already there even before i booted with the b321.img. In any case the img is for boot only. It is not the build.
Also twrp, have you install the twrp listed in that same page? other twrp version doesn't work.
Edit, saw you mentioned already that install twrp error using app. So try install the correct twrp in bootloader.

Ok guys, im at the end and need your help. I searched for this Problem since yesterday but couldnt find what describes my problems.
I think i did mistake after mistake, and yes im a noob, so feel free to dump on me what you got
Yesterday i wanted to update Sultan's CM ROM on my OPX, so i downloaded it and tried to install it over TWRP what gives me error messages. I made a factory wipe and installed OxygenOS 2.2.3 and then updated my TWRP to Sultan's new one (Version 3.0.2.3). After i flashed the .img, TWRP wasnt booting anymore, it was stuck on the 1+ Screen, but i was able to get to the System. So i get Root access over the SuperSU App and then flashed the TWRP zip over the Rashir App and TWRP worked again, then i flashed the new OxygenOS (3.1.3) what was successful. But now, TWRP wont work again. When i try to boot into recovery, it just show the 1+ Screen and Vibrates for maybe 1 second, but than it skips and boot automatically into System. The SuperSU App says its no SU File installed and can't be installed. Fastboot didnt't work either. When i connect it and type in ADB devices it shows me the ID. But with Fastboot devices nothing happens and im unable to do anything over it. (Drivers are correctly installed, without Signature check by windows etc.)
I know, i probably made some huge mistakes with all that. Do you guys have any solutions to get the Bootloader working again?
Thanks for any helps!
best regards

There's no blu spark kernel for ROMs/OOS with updated bootloader . Not sure if that's what causing the error 7 but its a start. Try using. Sultans uodated twrp I don't have any issues with it.

Update the Boot-loader first, you can follow a post found in home page of opx, u still have to use another TWRP recovery (not official) after updating bootloader. U vil get all info in the thread.

Hi, according to your post, i followed this description http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/general/guide-update-bootloader-firmware-to-t3478917
flashed "OPXBLUpdateOOS3.1" and new TWPR afterwards "twrp-3.0.2-2_blu_spark.v41-onyx_by-engstk.img" with no error!
rebooted into recovery, tried to install "cm-13.0-20161204-NIGHTLY-onyx" ... and guess what?! ERROR 7 again!
so i am defenetly on new bootloader, i tried all 3 options from the threat above (flashed via ADB and via SD card) no problem! also got bootloader unlocked info form ADB.
everything works, till i try to flash a CM image... then i receive ERROR 7 ;(
Hey There,
I`m stuck with the same Error.
The only Recovery i can boot ist the normal TWRP Recovery.
The blu Spark TWRP Recovery, the Stock Recovery and the CM13 Nighty Onyx Recovery wont work. I get the fastboot DTB not found Error.
And I cant install any custom ROM. I Always get the Error 7, ZIP could not be installed from Z://
If i erase the Assets it boots directly in to Bootloader (without saying Fastboot Mode on the screen, but with the OnePlus Logo).
If I flash one of the CM14 versions it gives no error 7 but boots into the Bootloader as well.
I have no custom kernel installed.
My plan was to flash the CM13 Nighty Onyx Recovery but I cant get around the DTB error,
Thanks for Help.
Greetings Clon
EDIT:
I tied the BL Update from the mentioned thread above.
aaaaand: Error 7
Here is my complete error:
Code:
Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset.
[COLOR="Red"]Updater ended with ERROR: 7

---------- Post added at 05:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:56 PM ----------
Okay I have a Solution, but I dont know how I did it.
This is what I made.
1. I did a factory reset.
2. I did a factory reset. (Why not tho)
3. I restarted the recovery.
4. I did a factory reset.
5. I changed the filesystem for data partition. (It was on ext4, but I changed it to ext4 although to get Errors out or something like that.
6. I rebooted into Bootloader.
7. I flashed and booted this recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=20236&task=get (and got no dtb error. yay!)
8. I installed the nightly CM, and the latest gapps (and i got no error 7. yay!)
I know its a bit random but i think the error has to do something with the data partition and the filesystem....
Void your warranty!
Hi all,
So yea, i when i went into twrp 3.2.3-1 and i installed magisk 18.0 following happened.
(was following this guide: https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/06/28/install-twrp-root-poco-f1-magisk/ )
Okay first of all, i didnt get root access, even tho i had the magisk itself appear in the apps (along with magisk manager).
SO what i did was try to unninstall it following this guyide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72542167&postcount=242 (idk how to hyperlink)
(mind you im not trying to unroot it, since it failed to do that, without even telling me, found out when i tried some root only apps, and checker)
That didnt work either, matter of fact made matter worse. After doing that now my magisk manager app wont even open, its stuck and after couple of seconds it says App stopped working blabla.
So i the next thing i did is i downloaded Magisk-uninstaller-20191102.zip (idk from who im pissed beyond belief atm) that like did its thing from twrp except 1 line of red code saying something failed idk.
Then i tried: https://magiskroot.net/uninstall-magisk-module-twrp/ installed the zip on the phone, flashed into twrp, tried installing the stated zip, but it says "Invalid zip format! "Error installing zip file '/sdcard/mm-master.zip' (red line)
Like, why dont stuff simply just work? Why wasnt i rooted in the first place, and how do i completley get rid of magisk (ALL OF IT)
I dont know if magisk is installed like deeply in some software or like a regular app (thats why i didnt unninstall it that way) because i dont want its remains somewhere in my system..
Will another factory reset solve this?
Please. Thanks.
Edit: Can i have A PROPER guide on how to root this damn phone?
Edit: Cannot install Paypal (doesnt show up) which means something is definetly still going on.
first of all bro, always mention what Rom you were on? if stock rom then which version/build of MIUI? if custom rom then which one (pixel exp, crdroid, havoc, lineage, carbon, nitrogen, etc etc)
now
twrp3.2.3-1 is way old for Poco, now Twrp3.3.1-x is out , you should try that one!
also if i remember correctly, Magisk18 is for OREO, so I am pretty sure your android version is 9.x
please flash latest recovery and magisk20.1
it will surely work!
a proper guide is already running in discussion forum with MAXX views count! please search
edit: older twrp cannot read newer magisk script, your uninstaller (the link u gave) is the latest! so probably thats why twrp is giving error! , also twrp3.2.3 may not able to flash magisk20 also! it will give your zip file error/corrupt prompt!
