After the Marshmallow update I have got terrible lag. Done a factor reset, cleared cache, but still have problems. When I unlock has bad lag and no response, but does get better.
I am going to have to root and install a custom rom to try and sort it out. Can I root 6.0.1 and can I use wugs tool kit ?
Thanks.

The easiest way to root is to flash the latest supersu.zip in TWRP.

Is there a root method for the Nexus 9 LTE 6.0.1 ?

Same method to root a LTE model as the wifi.
Thanks for the reply! I had another question if it's cool.. So I flashed the recovery with TWRP 3.0.0-2, can I just install SuperSU 2.67 from TWRP to gain root on my N9 mmb29r ? I apologize in advance if this is an annoying or already answered question, I just want to make sure I do it right!

Correct but use the latest SuperSU v2.68.
Also March Nexus Factory Images are now available, so 6.0.1 (MMB29V) should be flash first because you will need to root again.
If you have already rooted, and your system is untouched/unmodified, you could use Flashfire app to update by OTA ( or flashing factory images)

Just got my replacement Nexus 9 and it updated to 5.0.1 LRX22C right out of the box
What are you guys doing/using to root?

The method really hasn't changed to get gain root. Each time I flashed an update, I had to reroot.
So if you haven't already, unlock your bootloader and I used CFAutoRoot to gain root access on LRX22C. May want to install custom recovery as well...
Yeah, I was trying to use the toolkit in the Original Dev section but didn't work.
Will try CFauto tonight.
Thanks

So I was on the CFAutoRoot home page and saw that the root was based on LRX21L. Good to use that for LRX22c?

That's the version I used. All is well
CFAutoRoot worked for me and I am on LRX22C
Or install recovery and just flash the SU Zip. CF should also be updated and working. No longer need the kernel patch.
hi guys
i recently bought a moto x (3 days now before i had nexus then iphone then switch back to android again) and check out all thread here and there to root android 6 mm and all i got is a systemless root and it's not what i wanted so i modified stock android 6 kernel (EU version XT1572) to get full system root . (with this tutorial from Chainfire (first post))
simple way to get root :
1. systemless root : you can flash latest BETA-SuperSU form here and you don't need any kernel or anything like that just a twrp recovery ( you can find out how to flash it if you don't know )
2. full system root (traditional root) : just flash my kernel in fastboot and install stable SuperSU v2.65
Warning !!!!
if you don't know about fastboot adb flash recovery root ... don't use it it's not for newbie .
if you okay with systemless root so ignore this thread .
I am not responsible for any damage on your phone so be careful
nandroid backup is always welcome so if something wrong you can restore only system and boot and your back where you are before .
enjoy
sry for my en.
special thanks to :
Chainfire

Nice work!
Thankssss <3 was looking for this for ages. Once i get my moto back i will test this imediatly ?

Hey!
recently flashed the Autralian MM FTF onto my Z2 D6503!
Now i miss my loved apps like Greenify, Lucky Patcher, Intelli3G, XPOSED, a custom recovery, amplify and so on. I tried to root it using KingRoot4.6 (sucsessfully) and then used Supersume.apk to replace the kingroot app with supersu. but after every reboot i need to root it again, which means my methode isn``t working problery! How can i root it? i really want SuperSU, Busybox, Xposed and the [NUT`s] Dual Recovery!
thats the build:
D6503_23.5.A.0.570_1281-9715_R4D
It depends on weather you want to unlock your bootloader or not
I typically flash a Kernel with recovery then flash systemless root but you do require a unlocked bootloader to do it this way
You could downgrade to KK, use a root tool to install root and recovery then use recovery to upgrade to a pre-rooted MM
Sent from my D6503 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Afaik the only way for the moment, it's to downgrade to a previous version, then flash a MM pre rooted rom.

You can use a tool called PRFCreator, you will need a SuperSu zip and a FTF of your choice
Sent from my E6653 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I tried to do that (downgrading to KK, rooting, dual recovery, making a flashable pre rooted MM) but ended up with bootloops. Tried to flash a stock however I, with difficulty, could only flash KK again. This time I used wirelessly downloaded all the software updates.
I think I will wait some time, till a better way exists.
There is a pre-rooted MM in the forum, I've tried earlier. But it is for D6503, not my d6502. It has a 3g fix, but in About Phone, it reads D6503. And root isn't working there as well. or perhaps I was doing something wrong.
I'm starting to think that MM isn't root-friendly

You will get the root soon for MM. This is why I hate Sony devices. Updates also comes late and rooting also comes late. Fed-up with this z2. Gonna go with Samsung

hehe thanks mate, but I have already rooted my Z2 with MM a week ago and isntalled xposed and a TWRP recovery
I simply created a flashable zip from the 6.0.1 ftf and a supersu 4.61 beta

i didnt notice that
you since you have a unlocked bootloader can now flash the "advanced Stock kernel" found in one of the dev sections, through that you can flash supersu

Hi guys, I'm having hard times trying to root an already encrypted Honor 7.
What I tried:
-SuperSU.zip: the best effort was to corrupt the boot.img
-Kingroot: useless
I need your help.
Thanks
Use SuperSU v2.62 for root, link below. You can update it to the latest version from Playstore after rooting. (Worked for me, B380 eu firmware.)

Do you know which is the last binary supported?
I recently rooted my device using this tutorial:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/how-to/guide-root-using-magisk-stock-recovery-t3718203
The guy who posted it says that since we keep the stock recovery we can safely install OTA updates without any problems but he doesn't mention how. Is there a way to install OTA without getting bootlooped or bricked and of course without wiping everything? Also, Flashfire doesn't work on my phone (it kicks me out after loading). Besides I've heard that it can really mess up your device. Just please help out here because I really want to keep my phone updated without losing my data.
Thx in advance
