I had installed Android 5.1.1 x86 (AOSP) already to my laptop when I installed Remix OS to it too. So now I have triple boot laptop: Windows 7 64-bit, Android 5.1.1 x86 (AOSP) and Remix OS. Only problem now is that I have two different boot menus. First there is this:
When I select one of the Android x86 options the laptop boots to Android x86. If I select Windows then the second boot menu opens:
Obviously if I select Windows it will boot to Windows and if I select Remix OS it will boot to Remix OS
Is it possible to put all these three OSs to same boot menu? If it is then how?
Yes it is possible.
But it depends on how experienced you are with messing up your bootloader.

Last week I posted that Odin can't connect to my Galaxy neither under Windows 7 nor under XP Sp2.
Both run on a VMware session (VMware Fusion Version 3.1.3 (416484)) running under OSX Lion 10.7.
When the Galaxy is in 'normal' mode, the drivers are installed normally under the Windows session.
Bur when I put the Galaxy in download mode, the Galaxy is not shown in the 'Removable devices -> USB ' menu, (sometimes is shows 'Samsung Gadget' and then I select 'Connecdt to Windows' but then it desappears.
Here the screenshots:
Peripherals info after connecting the 'download mode' Galaxy to the Mac:

Here the selection prompt:
Here the VMware session to select connecting device:
After selecting 'Connect' to the Windows session it is gone !
And also gone from the device list in the first image. It seems it completely disappears.
This is very weird, does somebody else have experience with flashing (attempts) in VMware ?
I have never had this before in VMware, normally VMware runs every Windows task. I flashed Nokia phones with PC Suite without problems.
I can't help you with that but why don't you use Heimdall ?
He should use heimdall, I doubt the working with a VM and Odin.

Hi all,
I haven't been able to successfully run the included installer to get Remix OS onto a USB stick.
I've tried several different drives on several different PCs (all Windows 10).
Every time, it fails when extracting the system image (I think).
This is as far as I get:

}
And this is the error I get:
I've tried google for help and haven't had any luck, any ideas?
Maybe the download is corrupted...
Try downloading again, and run as Admin.
Which version are you using? EFI or Legacy?
Is the USB stick 3.0? How much space does it have?
More details, please! :silly:
I've downloaded it at least 10 times.
Tried running as admin
Tried running in compatibility mode
Tried both EFI and legacy
Tried two different USB sticks, one 2.0 64GB and one 3.0 128GB
Tried in both a 32bit and 64bit OS
change tool... remix use a kind of unetbootin, try using Rufus or LiLi USB creator (obviously format in FAT32)
Ok thanks, will give those a shot.
I did try with unetbootin which kinda worked didn't quite get there.
had the same issues with a verbatim model 47622 (128Gb usb ssd disk)
rufus finished and boot perfectly
I managed to get it working using a combination of Rufus and the Remix tool.
First of all sorry for my english.
I have installed Remix Os on my usb stick and it works perfectly.
Now I need to root the system, so I am trying to access to remixos files on Windows 8, but I see only one of the partitions.

Windows won't see the Linux partitions. Best thing to do is either install Linux on a separate parition, install Linux in a virtual machine, or use a bootable partition manager like GParted to work with your Android partitions.
well reformat ur usb b and re burn remix os .iso with unetbootin ( http://unetbootin.github.io ) and ur drive should be visible
I wonder if ReactOS supports MTP.
And if it's possible to use ADB and Fastboot from there.
If I'll have time, I'll test it out at home.
All this is because ReactOS supports ext4 partitions.
Hi all,
Please help on RemixOS on my machine. I have installed it successfully on my acer v5-573g 64bit version the other night. I did a separate partition on my hard drive dedicated to Remix OS. I rebooted it many times from windows and remix os many times just to test and it works fine on the first time. Now, I boot it the next day and an error appear when trying to boot to Remix OS. I don't know if i did something wrong after the installation. When I press any key, it will go back to the boot selection and if i select again the remix os, it will boot fine on the second time.
I tried to reinstall everything but the error still appears. Please help what to do to remove this error.

I get the same error when trying to install Remix on my Lenovo Thinkpad Twist, except I can't get it to boot at all.
Some may have checked and tested dualboot firmware from SD card on Beelink devices with new Amlogic SoC. This type of dualboot is a good option if you don’t need SD card slot.
Ugoos showed their own dualboot firmware with Android and CoreElec packed together. A good option is the installation process is totally like standard firmware reflashing. For Ugoos AM6, X2 and X3 devices you can download standard Amlogic Burning Tool and special firmware.
After reflashing standard Android firmware with Launcher Three starts on my X2 device. The only difference noticed in it is power menu with “Restart to CoreELEC” button. If press it, device will restart andCoreELEC build will start loading.

Ugoos Team choose nightly build for this project dated by 23rd of January.
Since that moment every start of the device will proceed with CoreELEC build. If need go back to android, there is a button “Reboot from eMMC/NAND”.
Both settings and accounts in Android and CoreELEC builds save on the device. So basically it is possible to use two active systems without additional complicated actions.
Here is the original article with links on Ugoos Website
Do they have a version for EmuELEC instead of CoreELEC?
I have purchased the HK1 Box (S905X3) similar to the Super Console X Retro game system, and I'd like test it out..
