Thanks for answering so what i have to do now ? i have just to wait the OTA or what u think ?

you have to install the B320 update again!
to do:
* copy the file into the folder dload at your ext. SD card! (create the dload folder if necessary!)
* Enter code: *#*#2846579#*#* to go into the update menu and then try "update from ext. sd" (menu point 4 or 5 i remember me)
Attention:
YOUR PHONE HAS TO BE ABSOLUTLY UN-ROOTED AT FIRST!!!!
BTW: From witch version are you coming from before updating to MM?

i know im asking so much sorry but if i did that what will i get ? the local uptade or what?

both!
1.) you will be able to complete your MM update
2.) entering this code will give you the possibility to use an external local update file

Okay thank u i will test that soon and i will tell what what happen

if you fail, you have to search posts about "Rollback" / "HUAWEI Extractor" / "Flashing with fastboot" and many more things like this!!!
Good Luck!

If above given code is not working then switch off the mobile after copying the dload folder. Press volume up, volume down and power button simultaneously. Update process starts automatically with your firmware package in dload folder copied in SD card.
Enjoy

Hey !!
the first way from non-toxic it work the update complete to the end and nothing new no local update but its okay i will wait to the final update to get all others things but thank u all guys <3

after updating to android MM (6.x) the "local update" option is only available by entering the code!
No menu entry available for it any longer!

Easy Root for MI3 WCDMA

Hi Guys,
I am going to explain you all how to root your Mi3, Redmi1S or Redmi Note - Indian version - Works on other variants too - Tested on Singapore, Malaysia and TD too. This may work with other Country ROM's also. If you are successful please let me know & the method u followed. :good:
This is so far the easiest method to gain root on your MI Device - Even a Noob can do it .
1. Download the follwing zip file and rename it to "update.zip"
2. Put these files on in the SD card of your phone. - Not inside other folders i.e on ur root of sd card.
3. Now open Updater app, click menu - select "select update package option". Then select the "update.zip" and update. Now your phone will ask you to reboot. Select reboot now.
4. Reboot your system now. Go to Security app - Permissions - Root permission - Turn on. U have root access now. (Screenshot for the same has been attached below - Just for Help).
Download link for the file : https://www.dropbox.com/s/e8ng3b1ruezldiq/root v18_BB10Unlock.zip?dl=0
Hmm simple & cool so we can access root even in stable rom right?
Yup that's right mate - And it just takes a second to do it
Are you getting OTA updates after doing this?
My updater does not run the check at all..

FYI, rooting has broken my OTA updates.. Though I can always go back to correct Unrooted version and update...
Thanks all the same
As per below thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-3/general/guide-how-to-root-mi3-t2845843
"NOTE 2: for some people rooting breaks OTA UPDATES but for some it doesn't. To update your phone you can simply unroot it and update it and root it again. Doesn't take much time to unroot."
Thanks for highlighting this issue. Hasn't happened with 18 devices rooted by us so far. Will do the same if it happens. Cheers.
Guys anyone else not able to get OTA ? Bcoz of shifting to Dev ROM or enabling root - Plz post !!

[Q] New 4.4.2 b607 ROM - How to repack system.img ?

Hi everyone,
I see that there is a new final version of 4.4.2 released for the Ascend Mate 2 MT2-L05, MT2-C00 & MT2-L01/MT2-L02.
This firmware release is MT2-L05_EMUI3.0_Android4.4_V100R001CHNC00B607
It can be downloaded here ( Scroll to second Tab on the download page ) :
MT2-L05 Download :
http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=detail&mid=57
MT2-L01/MT2-L02 Download :
http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=detail&mid=55
MT2-C00 Download :
http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=detail&mid=36
So, I have downloaded the update and thought that I would make some personal edits to the ROM before I flash it.
The main reason I want to edit it is to remove the "Set_immutable_list" file that blocks full root access whenever you root Mate 2 KitKat versions. This would save the requirement to use terminal emulator and Rom Toolbox to get full root access later. All one click root solutions would work perfectly without this one file being in the ROM.
So.....long story short, I have managed to unpack the Update.app file from Huawei. I have also manged to unpack System.img to ext4 format and remove the "Set_immutable_list" file from the system image.
I am now stuck at how to repack the ext4 folder back into a system.img
Any help would be greatly appreciated !! THANKS A LOT !
EDIT :
b607 update Fixes etc :
(New) signal bar carrier name can be turned off: Settings - Display "show the carrier name" switch.
(Security Update) system security: Update to all the latest security patches from Google.
(Fix) Better sd card management
(Fix) WLAN connectivity improved.
(Fix) Signal icons displayed correctly.
(Fix) Better Power Consumption performance.
(Fix) rare crash SMS app adding receipient.
(Fix) Occasional display abnormality
(Fix) Some widget displays could not be loaded.
(Fix) Occasional SMS message font garbled.
(Optimization) enhanced performance :
Contacts
Optimized loading speed,
Slow search and other issues.
(Optimization) updated with the latest security patches Google.
(Optimization) signal bar drop-down optimization
(Optimization) Pre-Loaded apps can be uninstalled
Any Non-system application can be uninstalled.
thanks for the news, i don't have the anser to your question
but now i'm hesitating betweeken wainting an OTA update, or flash my phone with the rom

On Linux you just have to mount system.img to some folder, so you can add/delete whatever you want without extracting files from image.
You can try my repack of B607: http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=572025&view=findpost&p=38144996

Thanks but I am not quite sure why.. the download speed is way worse than the official site.....
My FRIEND Kostyan,
you saved me ...again!!!
Registerd just to thank you.
Got my device (Mt2-l05) 2 days ago and started preparing it.
OTA updates didn't work in my device for some reason(could not install).
Used the MT2-L05V100R001C17B109 from needrom, installed via ext-sd method through settings
and after that 4 ota updates until B606 ota.
Next comes the bootloader adventure:
PC could not find the fastbooted phone through CMD, tried everything (4 hours) again and again, nothing.
So with the device in fastboot I used that old Huawei toolkit (the one than isn't working anymore),
toolkit found the device, I used the unlock code that I received via email and unlocked the bootloader.
Before closing that old thing I saw the toolkit first tab, I could read 1)Bootloader and under that 2)Recovery...:fingers-crossed:
So I selected your TWRP_MT2-2.8.1.0.img and hit that Recovery button.
That old toolkit did it again, my now rebooted phone had TWRP.
After that I had to root it:
Used Root Genius 2.0.1.3 and every other kit out there, tried everything I could think!
No use! My phone's personality reacted badly to change...
After 3 hours reading and trialls I saw your post about your prerooted repack of B607 and that made my day!
Had a little problem with Russian language in 4pda but... Не за что!
Flashed your B607 zip via TWRP and presto!!! Rooted!
Now I'm a happy Greek.

[INFO] Download link FOTA B04 - A2017G Nougat (german brand sale)

For those who are interested and are on stock non-rooted and didn't receive the (german) update by now, here is the logcat link i took :
( i was already on B04(bootstack/system (Australia)) but couldn't help to go back to B02 to have the link and share it - of course back on B04 :cyclops: )
( http://dl1.ztems.com:80/zxmdmp/down...es/HK/ZTE/ZTE A2017G/406489/fota_B04_B06MR.up )
or here the same uploaded zip file with a "little" bit faster download speed
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634768949
Rename to .zip (or try the .up file) ( you may even rename it to update.zip ...)
you don't have to upzip it
Put into root SD (external) or try internal storage
...and update via settings ( when on B02)
ps : when your phone won't detect the zip, you could try to wipe cache in stock recovery and reboot again and try to update again into settings menu
or update in stock recovery either via ADB sideload or update from SD
Enjoy !
Thanks Bro was looking for this.
So I'm able to flash the fota updates via system recovery, but is there any reason why the system updater isn't detecting the files on SD card/not receiving the B04 prompt? ?

Unpack the zip-file, but it in the root of your phone or in the root of external sd card.

Just rename. You don't have to unzip anything.
Although I did the update with the UP file once in adb sideload (in stock recovery) when I was on B01.
This is for non rooted users. It's just the clean, German original update from ZTE. Just for those who didn't get it by now.

Yes you can, either adb sideload or via update sd, all in stock recovery.
Or via the normal way when your phone detects the SD update. I have no idea why your phone doesn't detect the OTA on your SD by the normal way via settings. It should but this thing happens often.

You can upgrade straight using the Australian full V1.2.0B04 ROM. It's 2GB++ file size. Extract the update.zip and put into the root directory of your internal storage or SD card. Then open the system update and it should detect the new firmware.
My phone doesn't detect the update from internal neither from SD. I tried both files, and cleared cache. Says my firmware is up to date, I'll wait till it pops up officially for my region

Try in recovery. Either via SD or via adb sideload update.zip (put zip in adb folder PC)
(Also try all these steps with .UP instead of .ZIP)
Or flash the whole Australian zip bootstack + system. I'm running on that one. Or flash the original full Australian zip.
Possibilities enough

B170 update arrived

So my friend got an update to the huawei XT. He was already at b160. The new update is labeled as b170 which i think it could gain some hope this phone will get nougat sometime (most likely not). The update only has a device security patch. The security is from june 5 which is pretty old but i guess it's better. If someone else received the update post it here
got the notice for update at noon today - but alas, I have mine rooted so it tried to update, and then reset and is back at 160.
and yes, was really hoping beyond hope for some Nougat...
We need someone then to unroot the phone and update to b170 or at least check how to update to b170
See this post and links in it for how we updated before if the phone was already rooted (and for stock phones that can't OTA due to non-AT&T SIM) :

If anyone is able to capture the B170 update and upload it somewhere I'll try and make a TWRP flashable update

Could you briefly describe how to do this please? Can it be done from a phone with a locked bootloader or must the bootloader be unlocked?

you would need Root and a Root explorer - file manager
you would go to settings / Software update / download the update
choose to install it later
then with the root explorer search your phone for an update.zip
I'm not sure where it's stored I'm looking for that information now
after you find the update.zip file copy it to your phones storage and upload it to your google drive (or anywhere I can download it from)
if you know the exact location the update.zip is stored you could possibly adb pull the file without having root
Update should be in /cache/fotapkg/update.zip

When I get it I'll get all that as well.
The ATT update note calls it B160_B170_SMR_100 , I hit continue when I tried to hit "remind me later" - but it redownloaded.
Ghost Commander shows nothing in the /cache - odd - so I don't know where it's actually sticking it. I'm searching for it both under that name above and also as update.zip and anything else I can think of (by date, since it just re-downloaded)
I'll grab and document all the info on what I got where.
File is in /cache/fotapkg/ but is named package_temp.zip
I have it out, xda won't accept the file that large, trying to figure out how to link that file only to my onedrive so you can get it without access to all my other junk (sorry)

OneDrive link to file package_temp.zip should be 102 mb in size.
Got it using Total Commander. It seems to be better at grabbing root files than Ghost was.
Also, one other note - I modified the permissions from root root to everyone so that may need to get changed back (or not - you tell me) to be able to get it to move.

ok my phone doesn't see the file as an update ..where was it located ?
that is the file sent down from ATT to the phone. I have unzipped it and looked at it as well -it's 209MB unzipped. Contains the following files and drawers:
cust.new
cust.patch
cust.transfer
system.new
system.patch
system.transfer
UPDATE.APP
(drawer) META-INF
(drawer) com
(drawer) android
otacert
(drawer) google
(drawer) android
update-binary
update-script
blacklist.conf
CERT.RSA
CERT.SF
MANIFEST.MF
If you can't get the .zip to open, let me know and I'll stick it on one drive unzipped.

Well I'm sorry to report so far I have had no luck installing this thing
I have tried the dload/update.app using the dialer method and the update flashes but you have no wifi afterwords
and the phone still shows you on B160 (cust not updated / system files not patched)
I also tried with Flashify and Stock recovery and used an edited updater script in TWRP and all fail for one reason or another
Sooo the only way we will get this is if someone that has done the update
uses TWRP and creates a system.img and cust.img and uploads it somewhere for me
So I can build the B170_Full_Update.zip
Any idea how the phone installs this OTA zip file?
Is the updater-script failing because of assert statements for cust and system?
Have you had success patching cust and system using the OTA updater-script/OTA zips for the Huawei Ascend XT before? How did you end up getting the cust and system for your B160 Update zip? Probably from a TWRP of someone's updated B160, which is what we need to do for B170 now, I'm guessing?
Thanks for your efforts on this and answering my questions.
