Is it possible to reset the window to default size? Sometimes changing the window size the app hangs and won't work anymore even with restart.

Hi Everyone,
This is my First WinMo device so please go easy on me. To Start, I really love this Phone but there's one thing thats REALLY bothering me. The Rotation Speed, The time it takes to switch from Portrait to Landscape is like 3 - 4 sec. sometimes 5 sec. I don't have any program installed yet and yes, I've closed anything that is running in the background.
Is there ANY Possible Way to increase the Rotation speed from Portrait to Landscape? I tried searching for updates via phone but there is none. Please help, I really want to keep this phone but the rotation speed is pushing me to sell it.
Swtiching to the simpliest homescreen is the only option.

I have another question, How Can I change the homescreen to have 3 or 4 or 5 shortcut icon w/ everything else removed. In other words I want nothing on the homescreen but the 1 ROW of shortcut icon. similar to this but just 1 row: http://i41.tinypic.com/2uzs1u1.jpg

Have you tried a soft reset (turning off phone and removing battery for more than 10 seconds) ?
Switching from Portrait to Landscape on the homescreen can be within 1 second after a soft reset and certainly shouldn't be more than 2 seconds.

Changing the homescreen from "HTC Home" to the default Windows should come close.
Thanks Guys, it is A LOT faster now, I have one more issue.
how can I set the Default typing when I'm using the qwerty to T9. Every time I use the KB it is on abc, I have to press Fn Space and set it manually. It doesn't seem to remember whenever I use the QWERTY. anyway I can leave it on T9 whenever I'm using KB?

I Need help again, HOW do I re-Format My Memory Card(MicroSDHC) from My phone. I can't seem to fine that option.
One more thing, How can I install Opera Mini so that it would show up in Start menu. e.g when I go to mini.opera.com and d/l it to my phone using HTC IE a Java window pops up to install the program. but after I install it Opera Mini doesn't appear in Start Menu like my Google Map did. Is there anyway to fix this?
Opera Mini is a Java application. Therefore it installs (and appears) within Java console called JBed (it's in Accessories). Open JBed, hit Opera and it will run...
To put it in Start menu:
1. Open Notepad on your PC
2. Put in following line:
28#"\windows\jbed.exe" -run s0_
3. Save it as e.g. Opera.lnk (downcase .LNK)
4. Copy the file in Windows\Start Menu
It will appear in Programs and work immediately, if Opera is only one app within the JBed pool. If anything else is installed there as well, simply fiddle with the number s1_ , s2_ etc. until you'll hit the Opera.
It will keep Jbed icon, nevertheless, it works. I have mapped it on SpeeDial and I don't care about the icon anymore...

Archos propably has deleted this option in their android version.
but maybe there's an app that simulate the normal lock screen?
This could fix your problem
In the Market, there is an app for this (WidgetLocker). But it doesn't work on the Archos.
Try Lock Screen App from the android market or an internal feature "system settings -> location & security -> set unlock pattern"

Widgetlocker works on my A70IT. I'm using it right now.
How did you do that? When I install the app on my A70, there's no lockscreen. The screen's black, and the app has force closes. It says, the lock is activated, but ir doesn't work.
Could you say me, how I can make it working?

Sorry, I can't really help you with that, because mines worked perfectly from the start.
I bought it from the Android Market, and it installed and ran right from the start. You might have to reset your device, or you were low on System storage memory. I always try to keep mines at 90-110 mbs free.
In case you want to know, I'm running the stock rom from Archos. I recently updated it to 2.3.20, and it still runs fine.

after long searchs, compares, thoughts and headaches, my decision went for a brand new Xperia Z5c. It is my first ever just-touch phone.
I am on Android 6.0 Marshmallow now.
I guess most of you have gained some experience already, so I would be glad if someone could give me some advices on my issues:
1. I would like to have more grids on home screen, smaller icons, spaces and texts, as well as applied to all apps. Just would like to "increase" the "resolution". that "small" from settings is not small enough for me. I can reduce the icon sizes by using the Holo launcher though, but still the apps are in big sizes, like calendary, emails, status bar, settings etc.
2. I was told by the seller that I should better avoid using the quick charger, but he seemed for me like not sure. If sony offers that, why should it be bad? Is that true?
3. When I start the radio it does not end, even I try to close it through the right app button (where all the running apps are listed), it closes there but still runs in background. when I put off the ear plugs, and plug it in again, it still continues with radio. Only restarting the phone helps. What can I do that I can run it normally and close whenever I want? Or what could be the reason for that problem?
4. What simple music player can you suggest for me?
5. is it possible to record a video with HD (ready) instead of FullHD with 60Hz ? How?

1. You can try change the dpi. If adb is installed on your computer, then connect phone to pc. Make sure USB debugging is turned on in Developer Options. Open a command window in the adb folder, and type "adb devices". If you see a device listed, you are good to go.
Then type adb shell
Then type wm density 260 or any value less than 320 (which is the default dpi). The lower, the smaller everything becomes. Then restart. You can always revert back to 320 dpi through the same process.

4. Phonograph
5. Swipe up in camera till you get to "Video". Then tap the gear icon at the bottom right. Select any resolution you want

For these 2 points:
1. dpi is ok now, worked like a charm, icons and texts on apps got smaller as I wished. so simple! Since I can not set grid size and reduce the spaces between the icons with Xperia Launcher, is it ok that I am using Holo Launcher (which is probably old? I am careful in installing apps to avoid high memory usages and slow down) just because of that? (I admittedly do not know other way, and I don't know whether it is normal. just pity that the weather widget is not so beautiful anymore, but is still ok.)
5. I didn't write correct, excuses. I mean: I can use 60 frames per second only on FullHD, I wished I could use for normal HD also 60. On the camera app it is just for FullHD available. What app can you suggest me to make use of it on a one lower resolution if there is no way with the current app? (I prefer more frames to resolution, in order to save a bit from file sizes.)
I accidentally stretched out some windows and now the contents look deformed. Is there a way to return the app windows to their original size and scale?

..the simple method is to open an app that is not altered, and have same size as ur altered app, say maybe settings app, then open ur deformed window and resize it to the size of the NOT altered app, say maybe settings app, then close both of them and open ur previously altered/content deformed window...this will set it back and restore it to its original first load state!

Using the full-screen switch should help. Switch to fullscreen then back to windowed.
Also just quitting the app and restarting it should make it readjust to the window.
What you are talking about seems like an app that doesn't work with windowed mode well.
It keeps crashing when I try to click apps or do something on the desktop mode.
Update on it. I fixed it but no way to move the window. If I click the app it would stay in one place even with freeform enable. I can't resize it as well. It's either fullscreen or stuck on the left of the external display.
