[SOLVED] P760 Windows 8.1 fastboot won't install driver [CWM flash]

Hey everyone,
so I'm trying to flash CWM again on my p760 after i had to factory reset with the LG tool (since.... i'm dumb and had my cwm backup removed from my card before....... i hate myself), but since Windows 8.1 is a *** i'm just not able to install the omap drivers for fastboot. When i try to search the directory windows just tells me that no drivers where found, when i install them manually i get the USB Connected sound like every second and can't do anything.
I have searched up and down for solutions...but none of them worked.
I'd also tried the Nocturnal drivers (which obviously didn't work but i'm desperate)
I even tried a VM with Windows XP setup, but i can't get the USB to pass trough my 8.1 without having the nonstop USB Connected sound....
Is there any solution? Maybe a linux flash? I've been bashing my head against this problem for hours now and just want my recovery back
ps.: i also installed the Windows Hotfix for fastboot, but to no avail.
I gave up on it. Install windows 7 instead. With windows 8 you can disable signature enforcement and install driver correctly, but not in windows 8.1.

Loop on Android & Remix "Upgrading" screen

Hey community, after trying to install Remix OS (x86, x64 (original and rooted) on my USB pen drive, USB Harddisk and internal Harddisk, i'm always stuck in the screen where you can see the green Android mascot with the "Android-x86" text under it and the loading screen of Remix OS with the text "Upgrading...". The progressbar loads fully, goes to "starting" and then back again to the green android screen.
Got an old (~4 years) Asus Laptop without USB 3.0 support, tried enabling and disabling Legacy boot in BIOS.
Someone got the same problem or knows a solution?

Reinstalled Remix OS on harddrive, got to the screen to select "resident mode", added "nomodeset" before "quiet" in the parameter, booted it up and waited ~8 hours (i'd gone to work). Still at bootloop. Forcefully shut down, removed parameter and waited a night long...

I want to install Remix OS on my external HDD (WD Elements 2TB). After installing over Windows and booting to Remix OS, you can select between Resident and Guest mode (guest mode only on USB I think). Resident mode saves every changes you made and guest doesn't.
I only followed the normal installation method delivered by the installer exe.
I'm going to install now this newest version of Remix OS first trying the normal install procedure, then i'm going to look at these 3 (1, 2, 3) threads for more help.
I'll let you know if and how I did it.
I installed it on my Acer AOA110 with 8GB SSD inside, and still stuck on boot after nomodeset option, should I upgrade the drive or is there another way I can successfully boot it? ZIF drives are pretty rare these days. this isnt 2009.
After trying different possibilities I couldn't get my laptop run Remix OS. Installing on internal, external harddrive and usb, I get still stuck on bootloop...

Error: "mismatched names" when booting Remix OS

Hello,
I am having a problem while trying to boot the Remix OS and I haven't seen anyone else talking about this error.
I installed Remix OS on my Asus VivoTab Smart ME400C (Windows 8.1) HDD but when I select it in the boot menu I get an "error: mismatched names" and the pc stays stuck there.
I tried adding the line ‘androidboot.swrast=1’ while booting but the result was the same.
Same thing happens when I try to boot from USB.
Is there any known solution to this?
Same here. Black screen comes after that error..
