I rely heavily on LastPass, and was looking forward to the fingerprint reader making that easier. Hoever I have discovered 2 issues:
The app-fill service keeps turning off after I enable it
LastPass' Settings report that the fingerprint reader is not supported on my device
Has anyone gotten LastPass working any better than me? I did try setting LastPass to be controlled by App Lock in Phone Manager, and that seems OK for getting LastPass to open with a fingerprint instead of typing the password.
Won't work until we get marshmallow, only certain devices work on lollipop like samsung

Anyway with the stock rom Lollilpop for Honor 5x,
The setting for LastPass disappears sporadically,
and yes we have to wait Android MM
Personally I am waiting the support of fingerprint for CM13

And now we have CM 13 Official. LastPass behaves! Fingerprint behaves! Everything behaves! I wish it had NFC for Android Pay, but otherwise I'm now kind of loving this $200 purchase.

I have configured the shortcut "Screen off and Hibernate" with the Google Now swipeup gesture and is working pretty well on Lollipop. Anyway after having enabled a Lockscreen security Pattern and "Smart Lock" I noticed an issue on this side that's pretty annoying.
If I shut off the screen using the Power Button, the Smart Lock is correctly working on the next Wakeup: it recognize my LG G watch or Face or Secure Place and shows no pattern check. If I use the gesture (and so, Greenify) to shut off the screen, my phone is locked no matter where I am or which device is near me (smart lock isn't working).
Could this be worked on?
Thanks
I noticed that too, indeed quite annoying. Would higly appreciate a fix.

The same happens to me in even in version 2.6.1. I detected it in Lollipop 5.0.1 and 5.1 on a non-rooted Nexus 4.
The only current solution is "Boost Mode" with Xposed.
Greenify seems to have updated this to work with Smart Lock but only if rooted. Star this issue to have hope it one day works without root: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=193125

Did you find any workaround or you are using the root approach? I have been searching far and wide for a solution since google marked the issue as WORKING AS INTENDED. Would be glad to know if a workaround exists, or do I have to use root privileges in my app?
I'm ok with the stock lock screen but is there a good one compatible with the S6's fingerprint scanner
yeah I was also looking for one accepting fingerprint unlock, but haven't found one yet
This one claims it supports fingerprints, but I haven't tested it myself.

doesn't support fingerprints yet... nonetheless, a pretty good lockscreen replacement with a beta channel. Seems like they are still working on the fingerprint stuff as the lockscreen settings make no mention of it yet.

I actually installed it last night after posting the link, to see what it's like. It does have fingerprint support, and it works really well, although it seems a little slower at unlocking than the stock lockscreen at times.
What's slightly annoying is that it doesn't support known locations so even when I'm at home I need to identify myself every time. Saying that, you have the option of using a passcode or pattern unlock too, which is much better than the "backup password" on the stock screen.
Thanks for the replies guys.

The current version already supports Fingerprint unlocking. I'm personally using it.
Hi,
I just got the new update B330 at Today (this is the official ota, not the beta version). And now sometimes the fingerprint scanner doesn't work when i want to unlock the phone. Sometimes it is working, but... Somebody else recognised this problem? Any idea how to fix it?
For all my opinion is worth, I thought the fingerprint scanner was fast before but since I have upgraded to B330 today I have not had a problem with it. I would go as far to say its possibly a little quicker.

Hey!
my problem with the fingerprint is cux its slow now when i was in LilliPopp its was so fast but now when im in MM its slow!! anyone have the same problem?
I have it too. Do not worry. Probably because EMUI is a bit slow in response sometimes. Fingerprint is affected and also sometimes "desktop". Yes EMUI has some bugs.
I read that India got B431 that fixes some things, including fingerprint. Not as fast as for EMUI 3.1, but close enough.
Same for me. Sometime work fine and unlock device sometime didn't work. But i found that it reconize the finger because it doesn't vibrate to said finger wrong. I read somewhere that could be a problem with the sleep mode
It's a bit weird, but maybe i fixed it. So i just switched on this option inside of the developer options: Use legacy DHCP client. I just switched on and now it looks like working as well. My theory is the new DHCP client does not fully compatible with the EMUI, and making bugs in the system.
Same issue here : slow fingerprint read.

Now I disabled all animations in developer settings. Now fingerprint scan feels much faster. Maybe placebo maybe real. Try and see if helps you.
Rollback to 180 it's insane to use the fingerprint so slow
I wanna ask, where is the option to use the fingerprint scanner to be a 'back' button? I'm on B330
there is no such thing anymore
Return/Back function with fingerprint
Hi
I also have a problem with the fingerprint but it's only with the "back/return" function...
It's doesn't work and I didn't found the option to activate or unativate it :/
It was so practice.
I have the B330 Android 6.0

Hi all,
Has anyone managed to get smart lock to work? When selecting it from the menu it just asks for the lock pattern and does nothing. Connecting a BT device does prompt for setting it as an trusted device, but doing so doesn't seem to have any effect.

Same problem here, now at Cuoco92. On the Chinese 14S ROM I saw maybe 2-3 times the Smart Lock menu opened after entering the password, but I didn't manage to nail down conditions in which it happened and it would never open again. So at least we know it will open in some configurations.
I'm also using Cuoco92. Had the same problem on 14s and also on 13 with which the phone came. Seems like an EUI bug all the way.

Just did a brief test and smart lock settings do open on 5.18 Dev, so hopefully it is getting fixed in this release.
Yep, me too, it doesn't work in my phone.
So anyone tried Smart Lock on 5.8 series ROM? I tried on Cuoco92 5.8 and I can access Smart Lock settings. It seemed to work for a while, but doesn't anymore and I have no idea how to make it work again. I tried TeamSpain 5.8 as well, but I couldn't access Smart Lock settings at all (just opens an empty list).
On stock 5.8, the menu can be opened, I can add devices, but no effect at all !!! it ask for password or pattern each time.

I just tried on Samsung S7 and it is clear that Smart Lock is inactive by Administrator. for that is as I have corporate email.......sad...
I'm currently running a trial of Smart Unlock Universal and it seems to provide most of the missing functionality. Note that this is a paid app, but I think there are some free ones out there. I haven't found a free one with BT support though.

I am not sure what Smart Lock is supposed to do, but if it is to remember pairings with other BT devices, then it works for me.
On the indian Version Rom it works properly for me so far.

No, it allows to unlock the phone without asking for password or pattern if a registered trusted BT device is connected.
Just installed the latest Cuoco92 release. So even though trusted devices and trusted locations can be defined, they do not seem to really unlock the device. Can anyone confirm?

I never got it to work on Cuoco92. It works flawlessly on the stock Indian ROM 15s and 16s however.

What would be the right way to move from cuoco92 to the Indian ROM? Should I do a clean install, or can I just "update" to the Indian zip?

Probably best idea to do a clean install and restore your apps from backup (e.g. made with Titanium Backup).
Did a wipe and installed. Great ROM so far. Had some trouble rooting, as also discussed on the 15s thread, but eventually succeeded even without formatting the data partition.

Anyone tested this? Fast? Good Battery?
Since it's not in the not working list but also not in the working list I'll ask even though I basically know the answer already.
Is VoLTE/WiFi or IMS services working on 17.1? It's quite literally the only reason I'm still on stock based as in the office building I work there's limited 3G reception and I usually rely on VoWiFi.
I wonder if VpFX is working with this rom, anybody tried viper?

Ok, I found a bug: it isn't possible to hide navbar and notification bar. If xou select this option, the app lineageos setup crashed. Extended desktop doesn't work.
Btw. Is it possible to get dark theming for telefon, messager, contacts app? Maybe a other theming engine like substratum or hexinstaller?

You misunderstand that! With this vendor file you can select without and with encryption! See security setup!
Without that file, encryption is set to on all the time!

1 - seems to be an issue with lineage at the moment as far as we can tell. (aswell as a few other bugs in their trees at the moment)
2+3 - works fine for me and all the other n9/s9/s9+ users of this rom on telegram, mailbox set the correct number by default for me and i can edit it aswell just tried, loudspeaker/bluetooth speaker is working fine for calling.
Feel free to share logcat if possible, would be interesting to see what has broken it on your setup and not for anyone else, thanks
edit -
just saw you edited your post and removed 2+3, glad you got it sorted.
And whats about dark theming in telefon, sms, contacts app? Any suggestions?

No clue, wait for lineage to update them in their repos i guess, i don't like 3rd party theming apps.
I am using google contacts and messages, but keeping the stock dialer for native call recording.
Seems pretty sweet but Android Auto is kind of important. You think a fix is possible?
Why is it not mentioned in the instructions that Flashable_G96XF_Firmware_TWRP_DTAD_r2.zip is needed to be able to boot? Without it, a boot loop occurs.
Also, "Hey Google" isn't working properly. It turns itself off after enabling it. I used Open GApps nano. Someone got it working?

I previously flashed BL_G960FXXU7DTB4.zip from the Telegram channel before flashing the ROM itself. I see that there's now a new BL on the channel: DTAA instead of DTB4. IDK if flashing the DTB4 BL instead of DTAA could've been the reason I wasn't able to boot earlier without flashing the firmware zip.
I'd rather not and discuss it here. When I toggle the "Hey Google" switch on, go back a page to Assistant settings and go back to Assistant Devices > Phone again, the switch is turned off. Even during the time the switch stays on if I stay on the page, Hey Google can't be triggered.
