I have a T-Mobile Galaxy S5 and my Wife has a AT&T iPhone 5S. Both of our phones have been factory unlocked (in preparation to sell). I was going to simply swap the sim cards but realized that the size of the sim cards in each phone is a different size. What options do I have? The iPhone has already been ported to a upgraded phone and mine will be ported to Verizon on Weds.
IPhone is using nano sim card. Galaxy S5 is using micro Sim card. You can cut it down to nano manually or buy one of cutter on line. I assume that you want to use your wife iPhone.

Actually, no. I just want them both unlocked for when I am them. The unlock instructions say to insert a different carriers sim to complete the process.

My girlfriend bought a T-mobile HTC radar off craigslist and It wouldn't read a T-mobile sim card. Which I though was weird. So I bought a unlocked code and unlocked it with my AT&T sim card. The phone will work with the AT&T sim card but not with a t-mobile sim card. I've try a contract and pre-paid T-mobile sim and nothing. I went to T-mobile and got a brand new sim card and still nothing. Like I said if I put my AT&T sim in the phone it work fine. Can some one please help me to get this phone to read a t-mobile sim. I though once you unlocked it you could use any carrier that use a sim card.
you'll have to call t-mobile to activate it with the sim card

I don't think so. I regularly bounce between T-Mobile and AT&T with all my unlocked phones. The only limiting factor is the radio and the data bands that it receives. And, of course the Radar was made for T-Mo. Mine has always been great there.
Now, there are two versions of the phone. The US version is simply called the Radar and can use either T-Mobile or AT&T's networks. The international version is model C110E and called either the Radar or the Omega. It will work on AT&T, but it does not have the T-Mobile bands. It is made for data networks in Europe and it additional bands for Asia. The antenna configuration is different in the two phones.
Does your Radar say "T-Mobile" in the top right corner? Is it possible that you have the C110E?
I got a unlocked code and it works on my at&t sim card but not a T-Mobile one. I've try contact and prepaid sim cards. Nothing! I got a new sim card and nothing! It a T-Mobile HTC radar. It should work on T-Mobile but it don't. A Friend of mine said T-Mobile has lock the phone from there end. I got the unlocked code and it works with at&t sim but not T-Mobile. I don't like the windows one. I've unlocked 3 mytouch, 4 SGII and a galaxy note. This has been a pain in the ass from day one. If u think of a idea let me know it won't hurt.

Maybe the IMEI has been blocked by Tmo? Call and find out.
Does anyone know which SIM format the Lumina 920 uses? I want to test my SIMple Mobile card in store at an AT&T store, but it is a standard SIM. I have a SIM cutter to make it Micro SIM, but do not care to do this if un-needed.
My AT&T order says a phone and one "Replacement Micro-SIM for Apple iPad".
I don't have the phone in my hand yet but looks like micro-sim to me.
Micro-Sim (sim as S3, Note II etc)

Oops thank you forgot they changed.
Thanks for reply! I will cut SIM before I go to store today for testing.
Is the verizon sim card in the dna phone a typical sim card or is it special in some way-I have not fooled with it at all. Would it work in other phones that use sim cards...like my old HTC Inspire 4G (rooted) or at least another verizon phone? I know I could swap sims in and out of ATT phones before I switched carriers.
The only special thing about the SIM is that its a Micro-SIM, rather than a Mini-SIM; meaning its smaller. You can buy adapters that allow you to put the Micro Sim back into a Mini SIM device. I do such with my GNex and XOOM tablet.
Well every carrier have their own sim cards for free

I bought a Samsung SCH I545 S4. It was purchased under the assumption that they all come sim unlocked. When I insert my working AT&T SIM card into the phone, I get no service. It shows " SIM card is not from Verizon". When I try to make a call it show "Out of Service Area" and "Mobile Network not available". When I search available networks it shows Verizon wireless, Metro PCS, and T-mobile, No AT&T. I've tried factory reset, hard reset with no change. How can I get this phone functioning again. I am currently on baseband version I545VRUGOC1, Android version 5.0.1. Build number LRX22C.I545VRUGOC1
The SCH-I545 is the Verizon version of the S4. The AT&T has the model number SGH-I337. That is why your sim from AT&T won't work. You either need a SIM card from Verizon, or an AT&T based S4. Sorry.
First, thanks for your response. Verizon LTE phones are required to be sim unlocked by FCC. So essentially all thier phones are factory unlocked out of the box ever since the iPhone 5. Which is why I purchase this model. I have had plenty of Verizon phones and when I insert my att SIM card it works perfectly except for this one. I have a Tmobile SIM that has no service. When I put it in, it says Tmobile but can't make test call since it has no service. Would it be an issue with the motherboard or software?

I have the same phone and the same build and ATT sim is working for me.
Sim card might have gone bad. Have you tried it in a different phone?

I use that AT&T SIM everyday in my Z10
Hello,
My wife's Galaxy Note 8 somehow boots to different firmware based on SIM card inserted into it which surprised me since I thought that phones are usually coming with single firmware for either provider. I'm considering switching to T-Mobile from ATT and I have ATT branded Galaxy S9+ unlocked. My question will it have the same experience I noticed on my wife's phone or I have to deal with flashing firmware etc to make it work properly with WiFI calling etc features of native T-Mobile ROM?
Below message I received from Ebay seller which sold Galaxy Note 8. Is it true?
Thanks for contacting us. Samsung integrated new firmwares on S8 and newer model phones. Means whatever sim card you insert, it will program according to it. If you insert T-Mobile sim card, phone will restart and will show T-Mobile logo and apps. Same for AT&T and other GSM carriers. If you are AT&T user. Please insert the AT&T sim card and phone will ask you to restart the device with AT&T logo and apps. Tap yes.

Yes. It will work on any carrier. Even vzw or Sprint

If unlocked ATT branded GS9+ phone will work on any other carrier, what is the point of the threads below about flashing T-Mobile CSC (or whatever it's called) to ATT phone and vice a versa, etc if phone already supports switching between carriers on it's own?
