As the title states... Is there a process to root marshmallow for the Z4 tablet?
Yeah, do check the info board at your local butchers store. I'm sure it will be announced there first.

same procedure as ...
So far (March 10th) SONY have not posted the sources for the kernel.
Going via GitHub is too much work for me...
And the sources there might not be a good match for their released ROM.
EDIT (after seeing the NEW version number in XperFirm at 23:00):
they lumped many devices together: http://developer.sonymobile.com/dow...rchives/open-source-archive-for-32-1-a-1-163/
I will have a look at the m*ss.
And might roll my own root...
@DHGE what is the link that you share justnow ?
is it for rooting ?

Not yet none of the devs have the wifi only version yet, everything at the moment is LTE based.
Sent from my SGP311
hopefully all versions /WIFI<E) are treated the same in the further development.
not the WIFI only device at some point no longer be maintained.

Think they will all be treated the same, I think it's just no devs have the wifi only models yet and there are differences in the firmware.
Sent from my SGP311
where can I find info that the wifi version is not supported
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Pollux_Info
Or is it something with the bootloader?
should I exchange the SGP311DE for a better support?

The info on that page is somewhat subtle, in the specification box on the right of the page the device is "Also known as" SGP321. That's the code for the LTE version, while the wifi-only versions are SGP311 and SGP312 (16 and 32 GB, respectively).
I soft-bricked my SGP312 whitin the first 12 hours I had it in my hands, but thanks to a couple of very friendly developers, I managed to revert the device to a stock one, relocking the bootloader and flashing the stock ROM. It seems that the boot.img used in the pollux CM image is strictly addressed to the SGP321, and thus not useful at all on a wifi only model.
Hope this helps,
Alberto
If set this CyanogenMod, I will root? SGP321
Would someone be able to provide a 100% backup from this device? I don't need user data.
Thats what I need to. Did you here here anything back.
No, I'm trying to compile cyanogenmod, but I have the consumer cellular variant. And is prefer not pulling files from it to use. I'd rather use stock.
Can you use these from @jayandcourt2

Hi,
Please check this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/asc...to-fix-soft-bricked-phone-using-twrp-t2886630
I have MT2_L03, I don't have un-rooted pure stock system anymore. But please let us know if you need anything.
Also, I have a working CWM recovery config, not sure if it helps:
https://github.com/xordos/android_device_huawei_MT2L03/tree/cm-10.2
Maybe I will post this to DEV section so more people can see it.
EDIT: post the cwm config here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/asc...-clockworkmod-recovery-config-mt2l03-t2924526
Thanks
xordos.

I know several developers have the Mate2 and were working on it. Below is the link to the kernel source code for MT2-L03. It was released on the EMUI site several months ago.

This is the source code for the ROM?
If yes, why this is a 180mb file when the ROM is like 600mb?
Could you clarify?
Thanks!
Its the source of the kernel
I am also interested in a full backup of this phone.
Hi,
this is a question to @jerpelea and any other folks from Sony that read on this board. Will there be AOSP binaries and sources on github to build Lollipop for the Z3 Tablet Compact and if so, could you give an ETA? (And if not a reason ) And on the same note, when will we be able to unlock the bootloader? I would love to start experimenting with Lollipop on this awesome device ASAP.
Thank you and best regards,
lowtraxx
you already can unnlock the bootloader. someone here posted the code to enter for unlocking. can't remember in which thread it was though.
Yes, I found that as well. You need to use your IMEI in the Z3 unlock procedure. But I meant providing an official way and supporting the unlock of the tablet officially.

Might want to send him a PM as i am not sure how much he is monitoring these forums.
Hello people.
I just came to the forums and since nothing is happening here visibly, i was wondering to do CyanogenMod bringup for the device
Dont forget the poll above
If there are people here, willing to help us out a bit, it would be good to do something here.
Post your hangouts here, if you are interested in what we are wanting to do.
We can use all the help available. Testing, dev-ing, etc! Just pool in everything we got and lets get rolling

I hope cm comes to this device I see ATM there's not a lot happening in the way of custom ROMs suppose its early days [emoji3]
Yeah, although CM would be good at some point in the future, I don't know how useful it is at the moment since the phone is running pretty much stock android anyway with just minimal Sony skinning on top however it'd still be nice to see it as an option
+1
(As soon as I will be able to buy it this week. )

Today I bought E2303.

None of the rooting methods are working.
Cyanogen would be nice . .
Cyanogenmod would be soooo nice to see on our phones! HW is great, but sony's software is crippling it...

who can root it???
Can't wait for CM. There is so much bloat in this phone
Maybe in a few months

Hi guys. I actually never faced building my own AOSP build for any device. I wanted to start, or just try (Holidays incomming, too much free time). I know sony placed a tutorial (here supposed to be url link, but i cannot paste it here, anyway, its in sony developer section) but i wanted to ask you, what should i know (expect this tutorial obviously) to start making my first AOSP build. I got tired to use stock rom, so i decided to make something for m4 aqua. This is my phone that i usually use. Should i start with my old phone (xperia SP) to understand this enviroment, or make something for m4 aqua? Feel free to write something obviously, cause i might dont know it.
My english might not be perfect, sorry
Sony has not yet released Marshmallow source of this fone yet. So yes start with other fone, then when they release, do this one.
