Display Problem After Screen Replacement - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a funny problem that even me myself i cant understand i wonder if you guys can help. My screen broke and it was fixed however since then images appear fine but text appear pixelated no matter the font i use. However the funny part is that this happens on stock Rom. On Android M AOSP Roms the text and images appear just fine.
What could be the problem and how can i fix it?

Does the pixelation appear in screenshots?
If so, please post screenshots.

You most probably got a replacement part that is not genuine sony part. Dysplay driver and firmware dont match with this new display so its acting up. You should find a way to flash a different display firmware, but I'm not sure how to dobthis for sony handsets.

Difinitely a driver issue, your display is misaligned. It needs to be aligned correctly like older LCD monitors that had a menu for this. Try flashing a couple of ftfs, older kitkat and then 5.0 and then 5.1 to see if one of them has the correct firmware for your pannel.
Galaxy mega had this issue where if you placed a non genuine panel it would look misaligned after android 4.4 update but worked fine with 4.3 I helieve

So if i download the 4.3 there is a chance it can work? Or is there some kind of app that can be used to align?

It was 4.3 in galaxy mega 6.3 case, with Z2 it may he a different story. Afaik there are no such apps for android but I may he wrong. Try from 4.4 kitkat and up.

Si it looks like your dispaly firmware is incompatible with lollipop drivers. Try flashing KK again and then flash only system and boot parts of the lollipop ftf and see if it'll boot. You can also try dufferwnt custom lollipop kernel but I doubt this will work.

I went way back to 4.4.3 seems to be fixed but not perfectly but guess I can work with that for now ....thanks a bunch if you have any other ideas lemmie know.

maybe some of u got the same problem or a solution for my problem.
thx so far
You have original firmware or do you flash another ? Try to clear Cache!
I dont think it's a hardware problem, because the other resolutions are working fine.
I never use 8M since the frame looked cropped i think the 6M phtos can serve most of our demand

I assume that your phone is brack. Get your phone fully stock and use the warranty to get a normal phone.
Maybe its a hardware damage
Dude did you like drop off your phone with camera side down or something? Because the same thing was happening to me with my Galaxy S, when i dropped it down on the floor. Maybe it can be a hardware damage?

yes i already thought the same. but why is it only with the 8 MP resolution?
i'll give it a try with the GB stock rom and if that doesn't work i think i'll use the warranty.
i can't remember, that my phone droped... but it may could be possible

Hey bro, what do you exactly want? Your image is not appearing, try re-uploading it. And if you are asking how to unbrick the phone, then just flash a stock ROM using the flashtool by connecting the phone in fastboot mode. Or if you are asking how to install the update, then you will have to download the FTF and flash it using flashtool. But then you will loose root access. No worries, root it again using the root toolkit bu DoomLord, it's available in the development section. Or if you mean to say something else, feel free to reply.

You are mistaken. The update is of huge 650MB. But I upgraded to it from ICS. So maybe if you are on JB you will find this a short update.
The update have minor bug fixes and the phone is less laggy now. The dialer scroll issue is gone. But there's a problem with the camera app now. Sometimes green and black lines come on to the screen while clicking the photo. Although they don't appear on the photo. I am facing GPS and network issues also. But they are not being experienced by everyone. Feel free to update because you can always flash the old ROM.

[Q] Can not install G+ and Foursquare on CM10.2

I'm having hard time installing Google Plus and Foursquare since i upgraded to CyanogenMod 10.2 on my Galaxy S2

Did you not get g+ in your gapps package? Personally I always uninstall as I find G+ kills my battery! Do you have enough memory free on your internal storage? If not you may want to consider either deleting some stuff or moving it to external sd.
I did get it in my gapps package. In case you're clueless about the screenshot - BOTH appears as incompatible. That's why i'm unable to install them.

I don't understand Russian so clueless from your screen shots I am lol!
Your internal storage - did you check, how much do you have?
Maybe it is a problem with your rom, have you tried flashing a different one to see if the error still occurs?
It's Bulgarian... but you don't have to know Bulgarian to see what's the problem. Anyway... i do have free space and i'm aware the problem is caused by the rom itself (it's nightly after all). I was just wondering if someone found a 'detour'

really huh? I beg to differ, those screenshots mean nothing to me, and apologies for getting your language mixed up with Russian. Nope, sorry, I don't know a work around. If you are after 4.3 though there are many good nightly builds - suggest you look at slimsaber by @fusionjack carbon (latest nightly) PAC - AOKP - PA oh the list is huge and they are all getting pretty good in my opinion.
Hope you get it sorted out, sorry I couldn't be more help.

These apps usually work great on my device. The problem came since i installed CM10.2 but it seems i'm the only one complaining these apps ain't running anymore. I tried sideloading them but it says this app wasn't installed (probably because incompatibility with CM)

Well, in that case, I will consider another rom.
I also have a Galaxy S2 (I9100) and I'm using the Omni 4.4.2 rom and I'm very happy with this rom.
In case you are interested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2562055
One think I have changed is the launcher. It comes with launcher3 but prefer Nova launcher. It's much better and you can customize it way more.
Hope that helps!

Up! Anyone?
I see they've update to a new flatter design and i'm really starting to miss Foursquare.

Screen size? Dude, the S6 has mostly absolutely debloated ROM. It's not about the phone, but about the update. The S5 still has some minor, but annoying bloatware. I hope the one for Alpha has only a few Samsung apps.

You can update manually, if you wish, by downloading the firmware from the asus support website and leaving the zip file on the root of the phone. A popup will appear upon reboot asking if you want to update.
I am on the latest and see no difference, unfortunately.

No, OTA functionality is intact, until you unlock the bootloader
I got the OTA of this update overnight
The the processing feels faster IMO but no quality change. I was also getting my screen stuck at 60hz after unlucking and the update seems to fixed it. Which is nice
No real improvement. I'm waiting for a fix when shooting raw - it takes 1 sec to take a picture after pressing the shutter.
I don't see any change in picture quality, sadly.
It seems there is a new fw on some - but not other - Asus support sites: asus.com/ch-de/Mobile/Phones/ZenFone/Zenfone-9/HelpDesk_BIOS/
