(But can't depend on gapps because I'm using these since weeks (and working on cm13)
By the way, it seems like a CM based ROM.
It was posted in the NXCM section of the Google Community.

It is not so easy to start off vanilla AOSP. They will usually fork out of CM as everything is ready and perform cherrypicks and mods afterwards.

Google play services is definitely an issue.. I wonder if flashing Nexus gapps would do anything? Hell.. I'll flash and find out.. Stand by.
Results? Same issue.. Lesson learned..
I did flash the rom only and boot.. Tried install play services and such as stand alone apks and all was fine until I tried to add my google account. But damn, is it SMOOOOOOTH!! Can't wait for this to be resolved..

INFO About Me:
I have developed ROMs in the past for devices since the good old Windows Mobile days. I don't generally like to have very long opening posts for anything that I share with the public, I just like things to be simple and straight to the point. I more than likely will not ever have screenshots and banners all over the place because I am very old school about posting a ROM. I generally like my ROMs to be clean and dialed back on features since most of what's out there I will never use, also I do not build ROMs for you I build ROMs for me then share with you and I also only build for a device that I currently own and use as my daily driver.
INFO About JDM:
JDM is built on the idea of being a very clean "stock replacement" ROM with limited features for your Nexus device. This project is based off of the Android Open Source Project.
This ROM is pre-rooted (SuperSu) and you will need to flash a gapps packages, I use OpenGapps, but you may flash whatever you want. I found out that Layers will work with this rom, however I don't use it so support for it is solely on you.

For the record SuperSu v2.52 is fine. DU and a few other developers still use it in their roms they release.
Nobody knows whether this build has force encryption? Op? I'm thinking it hasn't been touched and still forces encryption as its not mentioned in the op.
Sent from my Nexus 6P
Layers confirmed working
Ah yeah I'm gonna have to touch that op up some, yeah I didn't disable encryption. I don't use root apps so I didn't root and the ROM is de-odexed user builds.
No SuperSU is fine with me. Same with encryption.
Super smooth with stock AK kernel and encryption disabled. Runs great, with great battery life.
ok folks, ive been working on this for a good while now and finally got it to boot and work mostly
i am happy to announce my version of CM13, this is based on the j500f port by zonik but has had a fair number of changes to make it work on the j500fn
i need to make people aware NOT TO CHANGE the kernel built in to this rom as it WILL stop the device booting the os if you do
changelog from the original cm13 port to this version
Code:
fixed audio through speaker etc
disabled multisim support
built a complete custom j500fn kernel based on my 6.0.1 kernel source for the j500f, highly untested kernel but seems to be working ok and have all the features expected of my kernels built in
this build seems to be at least stable and very frugal on battery life (lost 1% overnight)
things that dont work that i have noticed so far
Code:
Vibration
hardware touch keys(back and app switch) -enable onscreen nav bar
camera
MTP (should be fixed when i rebuild the kernel)
any other things i have not yet tested so please advise any issue.
highly recommend backing up device before flashing this and a wipe will be required
thanks folks and enjoy

Finally guys the big day has arrived...
I'm so happy and excited that the FlymeOS ROM that I was waiting to become stable for a long time is ready to be used!!! And it's not boring Marshmallow, it's Nougat!..
This is my second FlymeOS ROM topic at the forum. The ROM at the first topic is a mixed ROM of FlymeOS CN build, @KuranKaname's DotOS build and the @CrisBalGreece's extras.. That ROM was a test ROM and it does have some particular bugs.. When an update release I'll share it at that topic. And good news is this ROM does not have any of those particular bugs.. So you can enjoy the Nougat FlymeOS ROM! Currently I'm using it. And we can share our experiences. I'd like to see the developers of the official ROM in our forum but I don't know how can we invite them..
Download Link: UPDATE (02.22)
Source: https://www.flyme.cn/firmwarelist-112.html#18 (You can change language to English by using Chrome)
Features
OTA Support
Theme Support
SafetyNet(It needs patch. I'll add it)
Network Speed on the StatusBar
Fingerprint
Extreme Battery Saver Mode
Enabling Navbar option and button customization(just like in CM or AOSP)
StatusBar optimization(just like in CM or AOSP)
Bugs
A different launcher cannot be set default (I found a solution. I downloaded Nova L. then I frooze the current Flyme Launcher and it accepted the Nova as default)
Slide doesn't work as a lockscreen security type. Only numeric password code works and ofc fingerprint.
The Play Books app doesn't work. I cleaned the data but it didin't work so I installed the Prestigio reader and it seems better lol.. Also Play Games app gave a similar error but I solved it by cleaning data...
