I've been trying hard in using sp flash to flash the custom recovery from the previous kitkat to my updated 5.0.2 lenovo A5000 device and to my dismay i failed in every way, unlike kitkat.
in mtk driod tool there i found a file "recovery-from-boot.p" in the system which restores the default android recovery; i cant even flash a recovery using fastboot because it always states the following: "Failed(remote: unknown command)" i even tried unlocking the bootloader and it just does nothing!
I even tried replacing the recovery.img when flashing with sp tools and it doesnt use the custom recovery! XDA why this is happening! ????????????????????????
Is there a way to place a custom recovery in A5000 with S123 (lollipop update)?
Looking forward for all champions of XDA for help....

Latest kingroot apk able to roots gionee m5 lite .. Tested by me.. .
gionee m5lite root== ==+++ xosed.....
i have rooted my gionee m5lite and install xposed..............................................without twrp.....................................

My real name iz Anurag. .....you just have to replace kingroot ...with SuperSU...with terminal emulator ...supersume app will cause bootloop and. 3 rd method iz. Just click update super su binary while first time rooting. With kingroot .......for detailed explanation .....call me. On 7828817922......I have many tricks for reliance DAT also .....I hates typing ....I will leave this XDA account in 2 days ...I just wanted to tell to get best of rooting ,,custom ROM can also be flashed without twrp..and xposed
I rooted with kingoroot app, I faced some issues:-
1. System manager app constantly show message tha device is rooted, system files are damaged and I should repair my phone.
2. It installed kingoroot superuser, which have some bugs and also not supported by some apps. Also it is bit difficult to replace it with supersu.
3. Keep getting error while installing system updates recieved from gionee.
4. "gionee root check" earlier show "normal" ,now it show "locked".
5. I thought that maybe kingoroot have locked my bootloader in unusual way due to which I way unable to update my phone, unroot option in kingoroot app was of no use, so I tried to unlock my bootloader by "fastboot oem unlock" , but it wiped out my whole stock rom and my phone had gone into bootloop. I had to rush to service center to fix it.
So I had bad experience with kingoroot app. Is there anyother better way to root it?

When i first purchased gionee m5 lite I was not able too root it after using so many apps. My officail rom was getting some problems too. So, I flashed the official rom agian with SPFlashtool. Then I was able to root my phone with kingoroot and I HAVE CHECKED IT WITH ROOTCHECKER. BUT I AM GETTING SOME PROBLEMS IN MY PHONE AFTER USING KINGO LIKE,
1) SOME ROOT APPS WORK ONLY WITH SUPERSU, NOT KINGO'S SUPERUSER.
2) SO I TRIED TO CHANGE THE SUPERUSER TO SUPERSU WITH SUPERSUME PRO AND SUPERSUME .IT CHANGES THE KINGUSER TO SUPERSU. BUT I AM NOT GETTING THE SUPERBINARY.
3) SOMETIMES WHEN I REBOOT MY PHONE A MESSAGE IS SHOWN THAT YOUR PHONE IS ROOTED AND IT HAS DAMAGED THE INTERNAL FILES KINDLY REPAIR THEM, BUT WHEN I CHECK WITH ROOTCHECKER MY PHONE IS NOT ROOTED. SO I HAVE TO ROOT IT AGAIN AFTER FLASHING THE OFFICIAL ROM AGAIN.
4) I HAVE GOOGLED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THE KINGO DEVELOPERS SAY THAT IT IS BECAUSE THE BOOTLOADER IS NOT OPENED YET . SO I HAVE TRIED TO GET THE BOOTLOADER OPEN AND FORTUNATELY I HAVE FOUND AN APPLICATION TO DO SO. BUT THE APPLICATION IS ON MOTIFILES AND TO DOWNLOAD THAT FILE FROM THERE WE HAVE TO COMPLETE A SURVEY WHICH I WAS UNABLE TO DO. (LINK AT THE END)
5) I ALSO TRIED TO GET THE XPOSED USING THE FAMOUS TERMINAL EMULATOR. BUT I WAS UNABLE TO GET IT.IF SOMEONE HAS INSTALLED XPOSED ON GIONEE M5 LITE, KINDLY HELP ME . I WILL BE THANKFUL TO YOU. ALSO, PLEASE TRY TO DOWNLOAD THAT TOOL KNOWN AS AUTO ROOT V2.0.1.
IF SOMEONE HAS GOT EXPOSED ON GIONEE M5 LITE WITH SOME OTHER WAY KINDLY TELL ME OR IF SOMEONE WILL BE ABLE TO INSTALL TWRP ON IT OR GET THE BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED.

Hi friends, I have successfully rooted my gionee m5 lite and installed twrp. TO ROOT IT USE FOLLOWING STEPS:-
1)DOWNLOAD FIRMWARE FROM GOOGLE FOR GIONEE M5 LITE REMEMBER TO DOWNLOAD THE FIRST AVAILABLE FIRMWARE (RECOMMENDED).
2) AFTER DOWNLOADING IT YOU WILL HAVE TO EXTRACT THE FILE. YOU WILL FIND THE PC DRIVERS AND SP FLASH TOOL IN IT. INSTALL THE DRIVERS FIRST AND THEN WITH THE HELP OF SP FLASH TOOL FLASH THE FIRMWARE.
3)AFTER FLASHING DO NOT UPDATE IT .
4) NOW YOU CAN ROOT YOUR DEVICE EASILY WITH KINGOROOT PC VERSION OR ANDROID VERSION.
5) AFTER THAT INSTALL THE TWRP WITH HELP OF RASHR. YOU CAN GET RASHR FROM PLAYSTORE. IT IS VERY EASY TO USE. ONCE YOU HAVE INSTALLED CUSTOM RECOVERY YOUR BOOTLOADER WILL AUTOMATICALLY OPENRED UP AND YOU WILL NOTICE THAT AFTER FLASHING THE TWRP YOU WILL BE DIRECTLY ABLE TO GO THERE.
6) IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE FROM KINGOSUPERUSER TO SUPERSU DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL SUPERSUME APK FROM GOOGLE.
7) AFTER THAT DOWNLOAD XPOSED FRAMEWORK APK FROM XDA FORUM AND NECESSARY THINGS LIKE XPOSED INSTALLER AND UNINSTALLER. YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD VERSION 86 OF FRAMEWORK FROM SDK 22.
8) AFTER DOWNLOADING FRAMEWORK APK INSTALL IT BUT DON'T OPEN IT. THEN GO TO TWRP RECOVERY AND FLASH XPOSED INSTALLER FROM THERE. AND RESTART YOUR PHONE. IF YOUR PHONE STUCK IN BOOTLOOP THEN FLASH THE XPOSED UNINSTALLER. YOUR PHONE WILL BE FINE. AFTER THAT YOU CAN TRY OTHER VERSIONS OF XPOSED OR TRY SIMILAR ONE AGAIN.
9) SUSCRIBE MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL FOR VIDEOS RELATING ROOTING OF GIONEE M5 LITE AND MANY OTHER PHONES.
IF WHILE FLASHING FIRMWARE YOUR IEMI NUMBERS OF PHONE GET DELETEDBY CHANCE YOU CAN CHECK OUT THE VIDEO ON MY CHANNEL FOR HELP.

Hi,
you can root your gionee m5 Lite and install supersu
1) Download SP flash tool from Internet(google it)
2) Download the TWRP recovery img for gionee m5 lite
3) Flash the recovery using SP flash tool
4) Download SuperSU zip and then flash it through the recovery
5) Now your phone is rooted

Almost 2 years from Lenovo K5 Note release and We're still searching for twrp, root, unlocking bootloader...
In Lollipop 5.1 We can root it, but We can't unlock the bootloader !!!
Marshmallow We cannot even root it.
I've tried to port TWRP from almost all MT6755 devices but doesn't matter because everytime I try to flash it with SP Flash Tools is always the same error: BROM ERROR: status_sec_imghdr_type_Mismatch. When I try to flash it with Flashfire, Flashify or the TWRP app the recovery disappears and I have to flash the original recovery again.
When I try to unlock the bootloader the volume up button doesn't work. (It's not hardware problem)
The only flashable rom it's Lenovo's rom.

Hello everybody. I join you to learn some patience as well as gether some knowledge.
Anyway I tried to flash twrp in my k5 a7020a48 using adb fastboot but unable write even device is disconnected. Then I have to hard reset.
Any method to unlock bootloader for Lenovo K5 Note (MT6755)?
How can I successfully root Itel W5001p (A33).
I've tried using one-click rooting apps (apk and exe) like kingroot, kingroot, towelroot.
There is no TWRP for my phone yet, so I can't flash TWRP.
But I also want to enjoy the benefits of rooting an Android ?
Please Help.
Bro try using Magisk
1. Go to internet then search your stock rom .
2. Download it.
3.check if your phone's processor if its arm then download spd update tool and spd upgrade tool.
4.use the update tool to get boot.img.
5.patch it with magisk .
6.Flash it using spd research tool or if you have
MediaTek processor then use mtk tool to flash it .
7. Just boot your phone !

how to root the the Tab2 2A-10F with Android 5.0?
I already tried KingoRoot (both, apk and windows application) but without success. As I found out, KingoRoot and this device would have worked with Android 4.4, but it doesn't seem to work with Lollipop.

Edit: Easy as that: Install TWRP 3 with SP Flash Tool, then flash SuperSU.
