Any questions just shout! I'd be more than happy to help.

Really nice cases man! I just did my order, i felt in love with the gold lightining!

They look good. Thanks

I am loving the Elm Burl design but my only concern is the protection it gives on the top and bottom of the device... does it still guard the device edges from drops? ANd also, what feel is the plastic... is it the softer gummy type of hard rigid plastic?

Another coupon here for 10% if S7XDA coupon is not available: "10OFFTODAY"

Our #WoodBack Explorer Case is fully enclosed with cutouts for any ports etc. The case is made using a solid polycarbonate backplate with rubber-like TPU edges for added impact protection.
Our #WoodBack Snap Case is more open, with the top and bottom of the phone exposed. The case itself is made entirely of polycarbonate, and has a more minimal style.
If added protection is important to you I'd definitely recommend our Explorer case over the regular style snap case

LG G3 Cruzerlite Bugdroid Case Review

This case is my personal favorite next to the quick circle wireless charging case by lg, this case fits very well and tight without adding to much bulk, the cutout holes for the various phone buttons, camera, flash, and etc are also precisely cut leaving no extra unneeded spacing. This case offers pretty standard protection from you everyday run of the mill usage and accidents that may occur however with that being said i would recommend getting a good tempered glass screen protector to protect your screen from hardcore drops to use in conjunction with this case trust me I speak from experience (2 screens later lol) Lastly this case feels great in the hand it kinda has a matte feel it is not slippery like some cases of similar design and for true android fans this is a must have case the unique bugdroid circuitry design is a great eye catcher and conversation starter that will definitely grab attention and set you apart from the rest.
Edited.... Oops

I agree. Cruzerlite bugdroid cases are my favorite. Cool design, quality materials and protection without bulk.
By the way, the have better grip and they are lighter than diztronic.
One question. Which is your favourite colour?
Thanks.

Better grip and lighter than Diztronic? Man I may have to get one then. I love my Diztronic because of the feel and it's lighter than the Spigen slim armor. I've always liked pictures of the Cruzerlite Bugdroid cases. Now I'm going to have to get one.

Any recommendation for a slim protecting case?

So I bought the Spigen slim armor with kickstand case just recently and found that it is rather a thick case and added bulk to the N6. It in turns made the N6 not be able to fit the car mount I bought. Anyone got recommendation for a good slim case?

Ringke Slim Case.
But keep in mind. Slim cases like this offers less protection.
I really like my Diztronic case. It's thin and feels well protected. A few videos on YouTube where people do drop tests and it came out without a scratch.

Got the diztronic... its not like its slim
The slimmest i have is ringke
Try Orzly case, it is very very thin.
The Ringke Max is actually pretty 'slim' with a lot of protection. If you want close to naked feel, then the Ringke Slim might be best, but really not that much protection.

I bought the Spigen Ultra Hybrid (clear), Thin Fit (clear), Slim Armor and S Wallet. IMO the Slim Armor fit and looked the best, but FAT. The TPUs just made the phone uber FAT(er). The wallet hinge/flap/binder thing is too loose and flabby [I wanted tight form fitting].
I ordered several generic gel jelly slim TPU.
First one to arrive is one with a logo that reads INSTEN and I am very impressed by it.
It's tight (queue up Micheal Meyers), lip is thin and holds on to the frame without going over on to the glass, barely raised ever so slightly higher than the screen.
It makes the screen/viewing pop out (it might be the color I chose, yellow).
The cutouts are great, the thinly covered raised areas over the power and volume rocker are just right (if you have the slim armor you might experience what I have, where touching the buttons is just too sensitive).
Grippy and sturdy. Knocked some on the table, I'd use it to press some buttons, sure..
I might go order more colors.
Usually I like Goospery Mercury Gel TPU cases on my phones, but haven't found any made for the N6.
EDIT: easy in and out from pocket.
Thanks guys for your suggestions. I think I'm going to go with the slick wraps full body because it does not add any bulk and provide some protection.

That INSTEN case is identical to the Caseology cases. Probably made in china, and companies just put their own name on it. But they look OK with medium protection.

I'm not doubting your choice, as it's your phone. But any "protection" you get from a skin will be just to prevent scratches and no drop protection. Good luck.

I dont have the caseology, but from the images I can agree, sans dimple. It's a good thing being at 1/3rd the price. I went ahead and bought green and black as well. It is so far my fave case.
I'll add, you know the form, shape that the phone has, makes it fit well in the hand and really gives it that unique feeling that it is a much smaller phone. This case INSTEN keeps that feeling intact..

Agreed. Fairly protective without being too bulky. Good grip too.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a case that preserves the top heaviness and dramatic tapering of thickness at the bottom of the phone? Basically I'm as concerned about drop protection as preserving the original "feel" of the phone.

Case, Skin, other for adding grip to slippery phone

I do not usually put my phone in a case because I do not like to add bulk. I like to keep it as slim and trip as possible. I am coming from a prior phone that had a rubberized surface on the edges and back (Droid MAXX - the original). The Pixel is a bit slippery for me.
I am curious what solutions people would recommend for the best way to add grip to the Pixel without adding bulk. Maybe I need to go with one of the thin cases, or maybe there is a skin that could help? I don't need to decorate the phone, but if there is a skin that helps it grip better I would give it a try.
Your options are case, skin, and naked. For cases, you're not going to get any thinner than the Nillkin Nature cases. I'm not a fan of the one I have but it's undeniably low in bulk. For skins, the are a ton of options and you'll have a variety of opinions but if you don't want a case, that's about your best option.
Some skins are grippier than others, even win a single manufacturer, so it's worth asking the manufacturer about it. For example, for dBrand their grippier skins tend to be the carbon fiber options.
Good luck!
I've said this in the other cases thread on here, but I'll post again just in case people don't know about that other thread.
Caudabe (http://www.caudabe.com) makes great, very slim cases for iPhones.
If you email/tweet them to make Veil XT for Google Pixel/Pixel XL, they might consider it.
You can try reaching out to Shumuri too (http://shumuri.com)
I wish that their was an antigravity case for the pixel... I can't stand mounts and would love to just stick my phone to my instrument panel
Based on my experience with them on other phones, a skin won't provide anywhere near as much grip as the surface on that Droid Maxx.
Instead, take a look at the thread on ultra-thin cases:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel/accessories/ultra-case-t3483579
The Nillkin Nature cases are very slim and definitely add grip to the phone. You can see pics in my post here:

You can't go wrong with the UAG cases. The plasma series is surprisingly thin and light, but really has great edge and drop protection. they feel great in the hand. They are a little higher in price, but totally worth it.

+1. I received the Ice case yesterday; using it on the silver Pixel. I wanted a slim grippy case, one with black rubber to hide the darkening that occurs with time on rubbery areas of phone cases, and a clear back to display the silver/white of the phone. This case is PERFECT. It looks great. And the grip is fantastic.
I just received a blue Speck Presidio Grip and it's a very nice case for adding grip. The blue one is hard to find unless you pay quite a bit of $$ (I found a listing on eBay for used under $20) but the black version can more easily be found for under $20.
The case fits very well without being too difficult to take on and off. The added grip is good without being extreme. The hard plastic has a nice matte feel to it (the previous Speck cases I had was glossy but I like this better). And the buttons have a good clicky feel to them. It's not a minimalistic case like the Nillkin Nature but it's tons better than something like the Incipio Dual Pro.
Hope this helps somebody!
I've been meaning to try the DBrand skins for a while. Just ordered the bamboo version for my silver Pixel. Will update how it is. I have high hopes as the reviews are overwhelmingly positive.

I'm getting a Slickwrap skin. I've been using dbrand for a while now... Just want to try something different.
I've purchased two Toast skins now and I really like them. Because they are actual wood they are really nice and grippy with the added benefit of that if you drop your phone, the wood will absorb some of the shock. It's prevented a few dings for me. Plus they can laser etch anything you want on there...

I've had Toast on phones and laptops. Great products although I prefer them on non-phone devices because it's impossible to put a case over top of it and sometimes you just need heavy duty protection.

Hi

I have a best skins ever fitted with the glossy screen and matte body.
Also I have a qi receiver. You can see the USB port blocked by it
The buttons are cut outs so are quite recessed. I had a spigen case on just before that covers the buttons
This case is much less bulky than the spigen
The headphone port is possibly slightly wrong. If you have a headphone socket with a bulky top it might struggle. This is being picky though and I could just get a scalpel to it to increase the hole a mm

grip

What's the absolute grippiest solution for this phone? Most skins don't give a lot of confidence. Egrips doesn't make something for our phone and those rings or popsockets are huge
These sandstone cases are the solution http://www.ebay.com/itm/MSVII-Slim-...hash=item33bedfb626:m:mkaiNfq5LXgpPGOyD4m0Sbg
Go to the patchworks website. I can't post the link because i don't have 10 posts but i already have a spigen neo hybrid which is slippery but i kept because i like the color. The patchworks case has a slim and just a regular case but both have special grip on the side where you hold the phone.
i just got the alcantara case and it's by far the grippiest case ive used on any phone.
You could also try a bumper as well. Adds minimal bulk (also won't hide the color of your phone) and will add some grip too. I've heard of bumpers for the iPhone, but didn't realize there were ones for Android phones as well, haha. XD Erika Griffin mentioned one when she did her S8 unboxing on her Youtube channel -- the RhinoShield CrashGuard Bumper Case. I couldn't find it on Amazon, but I included the link to their official site.

That sucks. D: Only other thing I can think of would be to try something like the Spigen Thin Fit or Airskin cases as they're about the thinnest cases you can get.
EDIT TO ADD: Almost forgot the Spigen Liquid Air case, which of the ones I mentioned, I actually own this one. The pattern on it seems grippy, but I have to see how it feels in-hand when I get the device.

it adds a lot of grip if you "squeeze" the phone, but not that much when placed on a slope.
I got this one and it seems grippy enough to me!

The speck pseudo grip is pretty decent. Pricey though.
I bought the Spigen Slim Armor / Metal Slate case for mine and it's a nice, tight fit. Feels great in the hand. Edges have a rubberish feel to them but don't add allot of bulk. Now the trick will be in finding a screen protector that will work with. Like I said, TIGHT!
My solution was the honeycomb skin from slick wraps. I've used it on my last 2 phones.
I agree with pieman13, I got a dbrand skin for my S6. Protects the glass from stuff wedging between the case and the back and is the right grip
Double post.
Ordered the new black dragon... Let's see
shoot a load of jizz right to the back of your phone. it'll stay sticky and grippy, as a bonus no one else will want to mess with your phone.
I bought this case because it looked super thin. I know this is for the S8+ (this regular s8 forum is more active ), and it's awesome. It definitely is super thin, so it won't add much in terms of protection, but it has an amazing feel. Very grippy in the hand, and even on slanted surfaces. I love the feel it adds to the phone, and the size is perfect. The white specs are more pronounced in the pictures on Amazon than they are in person, they are still noticeable but not "sparkly" looking like they appear on the pictures online.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/accessories/best-slim-case-ive-t3597761
Holy crap, the Sandstone case posted by @peachpuff is AMAZING
Super thin and the texture is awesome.
It's even thinner than the Nillken which is hard to believe
Only issue is it DOES NOT have enough of a lip on the front to lift the screen off a flat surface if laid screen down. Not a huge detractor for me as I never have my phone screen down.

Good TPU Gel (Grippy) Cases???

I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on a TPU Gel Case, I was looking for something with a low profile that still gives solid protection without blocking to much of the "edge" display.
I have seen a couple a couple from Spigen and LK that look promising, but was wondering if anyone has first-hand experience with a good case. The main things I want are
1. Grippy/Flexible TPU
2. Protection of the frame at top/bottom
3. Lots of lift on top/bottom or corners to give clearance if you lay the phone flat on the screen
4. Full access to screen (cover the least amount of edge function as necessary)
5. As thin a profile as possible with the other requirements

Okay, thanks. They are more like silicone than TPU and have awesome grip. They have a microfiber lining too so they don't leave marks, etc on the back of the phone. I'm looking for something like that if I can find one.
Nillkin nature, best case ever. If you give a try, you will use it in all your phones in the future. I used it with my last 3 phones.
Moreover, the case fixes the Fingerprint failed location issue. You will never touch your camera lens anymore.

I agree! I just received my Nillkin Nature case (clear) and it's the best! :good:
Thanks for the suggestions guys, I was looking for something with a style similar to the Nillkin, Silicone iPhone cases that you described.
I definitely like the idea of having the camera and sensors separated on the back. My one concern for the Nillkin is about screen protection. Is the lip on the top/bottom substantial enough to protect the screen?
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Nillkin-Nature-Clear-Samsung/dp/B06ZZBRNK2?th=1
I was also looking at this case which wraps over the top and bottom bezels and at least seems like it might give more protection, although it doesn't separate the sensors on the back

If you put your phone face down with the Nillkin nature case, the screen doesn't touch the surface, so the lip on the top and bottom are enough.
But what I like the most of this case, is how are separated the camera and the Fingerprint sensor. The hole for the camera is so small that is no possible to touch the camera lens anymore (unless you have a very thin finger). On the other hand is the Fingerprint sensor hole so big, that your finger falls naturally in the right position, while without a case the 50% the times is touching the camera.
Between, if you have the midnight black version and you decide to get the Nillkin, go for the grey one. It looks awesome and much better than the clear one.
