Hi,
I've been building optimized version of cm13 caf version for couple of months without any issues, so I decided to share my builds.
I usually build once a week/2weeks.
Don't expect higher benchmarks results. Overall android responsiveness is much better.
It's stock cm13caf build with JustArchi commit:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2754997
Custom Uber toolchain used (compatibility)
Installation:
-dirty flash over any cm13caf
-otherwise install twrp-caf, full wipe

hi,
no LTE for me with your rom
thx
---------- Post added at 01:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:41 PM ----------
oups LTE ok now, sorry
New version is up 2016-03-17
I'll test this rom .
I got curious
i'm using it without any issue, very happy
dirty flash for update is ok ?
bluetooth doesn't work
Yep, gonna fix. Thanks
Fixed, New build in about 2 hours
Edit:
New build is up. Bluetooth is fixed (should be ). Please test, cause I don't use it at all.
first of all sorry for my bad english
Everything works fine!
and
can you update the changelog please?
fresh install and the clock crash on alarm settings
Thank you, sth has changed in cm, cause it was working good. Recently I had some fc, but thought it was cause xposed. Will fix today
New build is up, hope it fixes alarm fc.
Same problem after a dirty flash
I don't have this bug
I have this bug with all the recents hammerheadcaf builds but not with your build before this one ( but bluetooth is OK now)
When i want to go to alarm or clock settings via clock widget -> allways crash
I like your ROM, it's the only issue i have
PS : I'm french so i'm using the ROM in french
New version 20160326
Flags cannot affect java apps like clock, so I don't know what's wrong. Try to clear data/cache.
@satyr007 Do you use myfluxi's cm-13.0-caf-160310 branch? And do you use proprietary files from his github? Your opening post doesn't specificly mention that.
Thanks and greets!
Hmm cannot get any Gapps-packages to work (play store and play services just keep on crashing). :silly:

Version differences:
SM builds are built with SaberMod 4.8 for the ROM and 4.9 for the kernel. These may or may not work as is; there have been some issues with the kernel. Users report that they work fine if a custom kernel is flashed over them. Hopefully I can eventually figure out what's wrong with them.
Stock builds are built with the stock Cyanogen toolchain.
Hybrid builds are built with SaberMod 4.8 for the ROM and the CyanogenMod stock toolchain for the kernel.
Uber builds are built with Uber 4.8 for the ROM and Uber 4.9 for the kernel. My personal preference.
Changes from stock CM12:
DPI set to 440
SELinux set to permissive
Stock Lollipop boot animation
Replace AOSP Camera with CM's CameraNext
Replace AOSP Gallery with CM's GalleryNext
If you find a feature you want me to incorporate or want me to tweak something specific, feel free to make a request (please be sure to include a link, if applicable).
Known issues:
Probably some, CM12 is still in alpha, after all.
Not feature complete (again, alpha).
If Google Play Services freaks out after a dirty flash, manually wipe your system partition, and reflash FrozenPop, GApps, and SuperSU in that order. Don't factory reset, just format /system!
Plans for the future:
Investigate F2FS stuff
Add-Ons:
Stock GApps (will not fix DPI compatibility)
Slim Beta GApps (contains DPI fix)
SuperSu
Texdroider DPI to change DPI
Capacitive Buttons to control hardware key backlight

Known issues:
Backlight stays on sometimes after locking device (workaround: Use Capacitive Buttons app linked later in post or just let device lock on its own)
Bluetooth audio is pretty finicky
Probably more, CM12 is still in alpha, after all.
Plans for the future:
Include CyanogenMod's CameraNext in build

Texdroider DPI to change DPI
Capacitive Buttons to workaround button backlight bug

Updated build in the download link in just a few minutes, changes marked in OP.
does your build with the change to DPI effect any apps from Google Play from now showing up? i.e. Microsoft Mobile Office is an example...

Yes, it does cause compatibility issues with some apps. What you can do is install TexDroider API, change to default of 480 DPI, install the app, then switch back to 440 (or desired DPI). You'll have to switch back and forth any time you want to update the app, as well.
Updated build incoming.

It's just stock CM12 built with an optimized tool chain and with the changes listed in the OP. Nothing too drastic, it looks just like CM12 at 440 DPI.

I'm not sure. I used to use SlimKat, and it didn't have this issue. Apparently they use a modified Play Services. I'm going to test how their GApps behaves, then I'll probably start recommending them.

Just tested the latest build (416) of Slim GApps. Fixes DPI compatibility, I was able to install Microsoft Office just fine. My process:
Dirty flash FrozenPop
Flash Slim GApps (I used the mini package, URL in OP)
Wipe Cache/Dalvik
Flash SuperSu
DO NOT WIPE CACHE/DALVIK AGAIN
Reboot
I didn't have to wipe Play Services data or remove/re-add my Google Account or anything.

Excellent find...
So if I flash FrozenPop and re-edit the DPI to lets say 400 or something else, boot back into recovery and flash Slim GApps, DPI stays at 400 and GPlay compatibility is normal...

Sounds right. I read up on the Slim thread, looks like Dankoman removed all DPI checks, so I assume you can change the DPI even after flashing GApps, but I haven't tested it.

ROM runs nice and smooth. The only issue I've run into so far is that Google Hangouts force-closes on me every time, shortly after I launch the app.

Not sure reason behind it, but Hangouts was one of the first apps I had installed after fresh install of this ROM. I have since installed Chrome, which seemed to make the Hangouts issue go away.
Just a reminder; be sure to flash the gapps package I provided in the OP. I haven't had any issues with Hangouts.

AOSP-Shamu
Information
This is a pure AOSP ROM with no tweaks, extra features or messing around - just fixes for game breaking issues.
This is for purists who just want a totally stock AOSP experience.
Features
Android 5.1.1_r5 - LYZ28E
Pure AOSP
Odex'd and ART optimised
OTA Updates (handled by RomHut)
Layers v2.1
USB OTG enabled
Google update service blocked (no wakelock)
Download
Android Lollipop 5.1.1
Download AOSP-Shamu 20150714

Github: here
Note:
SuperSU is not included by default. I toyed with this idea, and figured it best to leave that up to you to root if you so wish. Many of the intended features of this ROM will work ok without root.
Installation instructions
TWRP 2.8.7.1 or greater is preferred. CWM should be considered "abandoned" these days
Copy the ROM files to your device (I prefer to keep a folder especially for anything ROM related)
Choose "install" in TWRP
Locate this ROM
(Optional) Queue up some other files like SuperSU

All GApps are the same GApps you will find on APK Mirror. I've included OpenGapps in the Addons section for the ROM just because they offer an AROMA installer, and update nightly via scripts on GitHub.
Also, I didn't add Layers RRO (BitSyko, really) because that takes it away from Pure AOSP... However, if there is a demand for that I will add it as it's not too far away from stock.

Quick question before I flash. Is the ROM/kernel that comes with the ROM unencrypted? I am currently running decrypted on factory image so just wanted to make sure before I flash so it doesn't cause any conflicts. Peace and thanks again for all your hard work. :good:
No, it's encrypted Totally stock, remember Want me to fire up an non forceencrypted kernel quickly?
EDIT:
Nevermind, it looks like it's encryptable as default, not forceencrypted. Probably uses forceencrypt on user builds (instead of userdebug)

Warning, though, this is new a "user" build, so it comes force encrypted I've provided a non-encrypted kernel in the addons section for the ROM on RomHut (though it's untested, it should work). Should be ok if you flash the ROM, then the kernel, before booting.

The rom is very stable and tested by at least 7 people extensively before it is released. Everything works all modules.
I see battery% fixed in the change log. Does that mean it won't drop from 30% to 14 now? Also will it work out of the box on 8gb device or should I fix the memory partition again?
Tried the rom. Found a bug near the sound enhancement menu. Some random numbers mentioned there next to a check box.

Hi bauuu... Thanks for the great ROM mate. Works like a charm. No issues faced so far. Butter smooth and excellent memory management. Performance and battery is top notch too.
My only concern is since I m from india , will it possible for you to post the dialer with just English alphabets. I follow you on 4pda as well and over there I saw you posted black dialer for aosp ROMs. I request you to please post it here since we are not able to download it without account.

My only concern is since I m from india , will it possible for you to post the dialer with just English alphabets. I follow you on 4pda as well and over there I saw you posted black dialer for aosp ROMs. I request you to please post it here since we are not able to download it without account.

Thanks for the dialer Bauuuuuuu... Really appreciate. I like dark themes. @fvd23, i am using xposed framework. Currently using gravity box, fontster and Youtube adaway.
Everything works perfect. No issues.
It slowed down a lot on boot after turning on xposed framework and starting a module. That happened on MIUI too until I was able to install a different version of WMS tool. How do I make this one stable?

It is typical because everything passes through xposed or a process called "zygote" but that should only affect the restart time and not the actual using performance
There is still a battery life issue. It dropped from 67% to 40% on a reboot
Hi,
Here is a build of LineageOS 13 for those who wants to test it.
By installing this ROM, you accept that you may brick your phone.
I am in no way responsible for it.
I will not maintain it regularly or at all. You can always report bugs with logs, that could help jts2111.
Thanks to TeamSuperluminal and Corvus.
Known bugs:
- EAP/SIM (wifi) not working
INSTALLATION:
- Use TWRP

Will a dirty flash over a CM13 (Villarleg) work?

Testing myself. WiFi functional on x727 with everything fine. Fairly stable. Cell data is working if you select LTE/GSM/WCDMA (or something like that). For my build, I'm trying to update the security patch.
Been running it for a few hours. Great so far. I haven't had any problems and it's very very smooth. My favorite test is going into maps and holding down the map and dragging around real fast. Usually always get some micro-stutter/fps drops but damn, this one's staying butter smooth!

It might or better said, should work. But of course it´s not recommended.

I've tested it now and it worked without problems so far. Before I used the ResurrectionRemix (CM13) from by VillarLeg. I had license issues with payed apps and also after each dirty flash Google apps crashed. I then had to reinstall the apps from the play store. Google Home (chromecast) even did not start.
With your LineageOS test build I didn't noticed any problems so far. It runs stable and smoothly.
Is there a chance that we get a version with the January security patches incorporated?
Thanks for the good work!
Ir works?
---------- Post added at 01:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:47 PM ----------
Lineage 14.1?
I do not have the original IR app. If you provide the apk I could test it with this build.
Button konfiguration does not work for me?
Some to confirm?
for example....I´d like to make left button "Menu-Button".
Usage does not change after settings changed....still is recents button.
Just for info...

In the device tree only X727 is listed. Will any upcoming ROM also support X720?

All the 727 roms will work on 720, unless the builder bundles a radio (which is considered bad practice for roms). The specs on that page are all messed up too. Flash on your 720 with confidence.
