fix your updater-script, i used my PORT ROM updater-script to bypass the issue, the original,
downgrading the recovery solved my issue.
Downgrading the recovery also solved my issue.

Hi Guys!
Is there any soul who can help me out?
I have a SGP321 Tab Z version with stock 4.4 on it, and rooted with towelroot (i guess this is the name!)
Every single update i've done since initial version 4.1 had been without any problems and all by OTA.
Now, after downloading the latest version, after click install button, i get a message box telling me that the tablet will restart and will take some 41 minutes to do the job. OK then, it reboots, but after one or two minutes max, it reboots again and nothing done. Then on the notification bar i get a message saying that the update failed and i should do it again.
Well Mates, after 5 tries i gave up?
Maybe someone have had a problem like this one??
Might have something to do with the root method?? I really can't figure out....
Thanks for your kind help in advance.

To tell long story short, it is because you are rooted. Before applying OTA device checks system files for modifications and stops install if it finds one. Root as you know is a modification.
So, any suggestion?
What should i do?
Thanks, again

So if you're on a rooted KitKat now it's easier for to install recovery and flash prerooted 5.0.2 firmware straightforward.

Sorry to bother again, but on the second link you provided, something have frightened me:
"...Unfortunately, XZDualRecovery isn't working for TabZ with Lollipop at the moment.
That's why it is not included..."
So, will it work?

I don't know, but I don't think so, since you are flashing the whole thing, including recovery and bootloader, so everything will match.
Do not check userdata in spflash tool. If you do you will have the issue of invalid IMEI and changing WIFI MAC address after each reboot.

I decided to go back to lollipop after bad battery drainage issues on Marshmallow and when I tried flashing without checking userdata in spflash tool I got app errors and basically got stuck in a boot loop. I went ahead and checked userdata along with everything else and I did not have any IMEI or WIFI issues at all. Your mileage may vary, just wanted to let people know that I didn't get these issues when I did it.
Like the title.. Someone could? I tried and when I flash via twrp i obtain the result "error 1". :crying:

Hi. I'm using an asusrance wireless phone. I've messed up trying to install android 6.0 on it. I didn't unlock hte bootloader before installing my custom rom... so I'm stuck in recovery with no power to install a rom. I get an authorization error. Unless someone can help me get around this I think my only way is to find a signed offiicial stock rom. Any help?

Has anybody successfully flashed the mentioned stock rom to ZTE N817 ?
Actually I've got an Assurance Wireless phone already updated to the B16 that closes the door of ROOT. That's why I want to flash the stock rom that comes with B11 update which is effectively rootable.

Instead of that, Patched the boot.img by magisk and flash it.
Boom You got "systemlessly" root
If you want me to do it for you. Give the boot.img to me! and tell me the system architecture to confirm something.
I also have this phone and have downloaded the above link.
I'm stumped on how to flash it, as it (seemingly) does not have the required files: a *firehose*.mbn (for a flat build) or a content*.xml (for a meta build). I've tried using QFIL v2.0.0.5 and v2.0.1.9, but could not figure out how to flash based on the instructions i read.

Great to know this.
Actually I've followed the following Link and successfully rooted some couple of devices:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3587174
The approach that the above link uses is KingoRoot as the 1st step. But alas! KingoRoot is unable to succeed on recent N817 ZTEs shipped with B16 update
Hello Guys , i just bought a new Lenovo z5 from Aliexpress it came with flashboot unlocked and rooted i felt insecure with that , so i tried to lock the flashboot and unroot it ...

just flash this Official Rom : bit. ly /2Qjijzq
and flash it with : bit. ly /2wYLpfG
then you should be alright
ps : Flashboot must be locked
if you use qpst/qfil (which is whst you should be doing) to reflash stock rom it is not nessery to relock the bootloader.
ota also works even tho it tells you it does not, but when you get the notification of an update, you can press update and it will install, but the tool for manualy checking does not work.

look in this thread, there are all the links you need.
The thread is to install custom rom, but since you need stock qpst, find it in this thread.

I was able to pass the rom, before installing `` gapps.img`` install TWRP, soon after installing the gapps and soon after the supersu, everything via twrp. It worked for me.
*But the following problems appear in the system:
*WI-FI does not start
TWRP is encrypted after flah supersu
SENSORS giroscopico, bussula, metal detector, and others does not work.
Bluetooth tranferencias is also bugged.
Now I want to go back to the stock rom, but all roms are in boot loop `` LENOVO screen FLASHING OR STOPPED``
I can only keep the custom rom. And now someone to help? I need to at least recover the WI-FI.
Are you using qpst/qfil to reflash stock 3.9.075?
