So I followed these instructions to root my LG G3 https://www.reddit.com/r/LGG3/comments/3qcctd/how_do_i_root_a_vs985_running_511_35b/cwe6756. Everything worked fine at first,I downgraded and rooted kitkat, then installed TWRP. After flashing the ROM,nothing displayed on the phone. The phone is booting,I can feel vibrations and hear the volume up notifications, but I'm having trouble getting into recovery. I'm pretty sure this has something to do with the fact that I accidentally flashed the cache after flashing the 9.1 rom,and that I forgot to do a factory reset after the first one. What should I do now?
Can you put it in Download mode? Even if the screen doesn't display anything, you can tell that you successfully got it in Download mode by looking in Windows' Device Manager. You should already have installed the Verizon LG drivers, and preferably rebooted the PC, give the PC up to 10 minutes to load the drivers the first time you connect the phone in Download mode via a USB 2.0 port and with the original cable.
If you get it in Download mode, use LG Flash Tool 2014 to flash the 10B KDZ to make it easiest to root and put TWRP back on.
The problem definitely didn't have anything to do with not doing a factory reset. As long as you had wiped Cache, Dalvik/ART and Data.
By "flashing cache" if you mean wiping Cache, no, that shouldn't be the problem either.
JasmineROM 9.1 is just an update to 9.0; had you flashed 9.0 before 9.1? If not, then that's the problem.
What exactly do you mean about a problem getting into recovery? Do you mean you can't see that either or what?
I managed to get it fixed Since the phone was still working I was able to take screenshots of everything I was doing while hooked up to my computer until I could use Flashify to reboot into fastboot, then repeated the steps to downgrading using these instructions https://www.reddit.com/r/LGG3/comme...phone_stuck_in_factory_reset_status_2/cmlm3wo
It probably was getting into recovery and I just didn't notice since nothing was displaying, but its all working now,and I successfully flashed CM13 instead.

I was using my phone and all had been working fine for ages. It was in my pocket for a while and when i took it out to use it I saw that it was on the boot animation of CM11. My phone was already on when I last used it so I had assumed it had crashed. I took the battery out and turned the phone on again but it got stuck on the CM boot animation. The last time I turned on my phone before that was when I flashed a supersu zip file to make my root work as I was having some problems. After flashing the supersu zip and told my CWM recovery to restart the system, it prompted me to "fix root" or something like that, and I clicked yes and it booted normally. That was the last time it booted normally before being stuck as it is now. First thing I did after it got stuck was go into recovery and reflash my current rom ( a CM11 snapshot) I then got faced with a status 7 error and so couldnt flash the rom. So then I flashed multiple other CM11 roms, none of which worked, so I flashed a CM10.2 stable rom which worked. I then got faced with the fix root before reboot thing and so I clicked yes. Still had the stuck booting thingy. I tried many things, flashing kernals roms gapps etc and nothing made a difference. I wiped cache, dalvik cache and no difference. I even wiped the system and tried to flash roms but only the 10.2 one would work, still got a status 7 with the CM11 ones. When I wiped my data however and flashed CM 10.2, it booted. I still couldn't flash the CM11 roms though even after a factory reset. So I have the reason to believe something in the data is wrong, not cache system or anything like that. What could it be? I don't want to have to lose all my data in order to be able to use my phone again, even then, something is still wrong as my phone won't flash CM11 roms anymore. So my questions are;
What things could have caused this?
Can this be a problem from flashing the supersu zip (a root issue)
Is it possible to somehow view or copy the internal data on a computer (since I cant get into the operating system), and this would allow me to get all my pictures contacts music etc anything so I can use my phone by wiping data?
Thanks, sorry this is quite long and probably hard to understand whats going on, but help is appriciated thanks
Don't fix root if you wish to use SuperSU instead builded-in cm superuser. Also try to flash via Odin latest recovery. TWRP should be fine. You can mount partitions from recovery level to download data to your computer. Of course if it still exists. If not, if they are corrupted you need to flash stock ROM and repeat whole cm11 adventure again. If Odin successfully flash the stock then it's a chance your partition layout and user data are untouched.

First let me explain what I did to my device, then I'll explain what I did to get my device back. I was on the latest ZVE build, and decided to flash the new Lollipop update. I flashed it with TWRP, but was supposed to flash it with CMW. so I got stuck on the LG screen. Then I flashed Philz Advanced recovery. so I could flash Lollipop again, so I wiped, data, system, cache, and went to flash, but the rom was not in storage, so I decided to restore my backup, and realized my entire device including device storage had been wiped clean. So, now I could boot into recovery, and download mode, but had nothing to flash to fix the problem, and since I never booted into the OS, I didn't get to enable debug mode. It rendered my flashtool application useless. because it wouldn't install the necessary drivers that you need for download mode to work. I read a topic that explained how to fix a hard brick with Linux, so I tried that but was unable to mount device, but when I used ADB command it recognized the device in recovery. Philz recovery doesn't mount in recovery, but TWRP recovery does, so that was the goal. I used sideload to flashed TWRP through ADB and It worked. Once I got TWRP flashed with sideload the rest is history. Now I can go back to Windows and use my flashtool program to get back to stock ZVE, because now I will be able to install the necessary drivers for flashtool to work. Hope this works for someone else, that gets in the same situation. Happy flashing, and enjoy your New Year.
Ok... So...
I installed fulmics through TWRP and all worked great
After that, I installed a v30 Rom also with TWRP and that worked great, too, but i decided i like fulmics more and wanted to go back
Retried TWRP and kinda worked, but some errors were popping up all the time, so i decide to reinstall it
Now here i am. When it boots, goes straight in TWRP. I tried a stock zip to flash with TWRP, no luck.
When in TWRP I can see the phone on pc, internal storage in empty.
Fastboot works.
When i load up LGUP, under the version tab, it shows fulmics mod and i can't take any action
How fried is it?

Try doing a complete wipe, wipe cache, Dalvik, data, system. Then wipe internal storage via the format data option and reboot recovery. I am guessing that you're on the h850 variant so Flash the 20s complete firmware zip then flash SuperSU or magisk. See if it boots into system.
I do still suggest hooking it up to your PC and flashing stock firmware kdz 20s using uppercut. If if it is recognizing fastboot commands then you should have no issue flashing a new recovery image after you load the stock kdz, you may even be able to flash a new recovery image instead of going through all the other steps that I listed. Which may some your issue. But it's best to format data entirely before flashing anymore ROMs, and use lgup via uppercut to flash stock firmware and let it boot entirely before reflashing fulmics.
But formatting data is key to reset the system folders which were leftover from other ROMs and likely the cause of the issues you experienced.
Its my daughters bog standard, cheap chinese MTK6580 phone (uhappy up580 if it matters)
It came with stock 5.0 a few years back so I flashed TWRP, rooted it, ported a CRdroid 5.1 rom for it and was working fine. Yesterday on boot every app refused to start, or stopped, or froze including stock launcher and settings so I couldnt do anything at all. Booted to TWRP and wiped cache and dalvik but although TWRP said completed, it hadnt.
So decided to wipe EVERYTHING including data and again TWRP said it had but upon reboot the faulty rom was still there, not working.
Tried to flash a backup that ended in tar error, fixed that and it flashed the backup fine, rebooted but it hadnt.
Tried to TWRP flash a new rom, said it had but it hadnt,
Used SPFlash tools to flash the stock 5.0 rom, THAT said it completed after the usual time and procedure, rebooted but it hadnt
Used SPFlash tools to completely format and wipe the phone which also said it had completed but it hadnt.
I CANNOT wipe this phone using any method I know of! or install or flash anything! Just this same custom rom that was fine for years and just went wrong. Does ANYONE know how I can somehow wipe this phone or flash a new rom? Tried flashing a TWRP with SP tools AND a TWRP .img and they all said completed but obviously, nothing did.... I've accidently bricked phones easier than I can deliberately wipe this one
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hey all, so it appears that I screwed my phone, I am not sure how.
I was running LineageOS, and wanted to update to Android 10 one, so I followed the steps, and I think I screwed the sideloading part, so... long story short now when rebooting from OrangeFox RecoveryProject it says no OS detected, and when it boots it says encryption unsuccessful, I tried wiping and installing DisableForceEncryption_Treble_v17.2 and restarting, and the same thing happens.
I tried to flash through recovery both, and did not work:
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/beryllium/
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/vendor/beryllium/
And when trying to flash through miFlash it doesn't work:
I go to fastboot in poco, hit refresh in miflash, it shows a device in the list, but the phone goes dark with 'something key to shutdown` written in the top left corner and if I hit the flash button nothing happens.
Can anyone assist with that please?

This happened to me when I accidentally deleted the OS when flashing the latest MIUI 11 build (using TWRP). THIS IS HOW I FIXED IT.
Find a full firmware of whatever you wanted to flash, either Lineage or MIUI 11. Then flash via your recovery (you said you have orangefox). Use an external sd card, external USB or HDD since you technically wouldn't have access to your internal data. After flashing, same process as most updates, clear cache and dalkiv. Then flash a newer DFE (if you still want to decrypt, there is a page here in xda with it. Or go to miui forums Happybuddhist, the mod there, made a new one prebuilt with Magisk). Then reboot into recovery to make sure you keep your custom recovery. Once booted to recov. Boot to system. Should fix the issue.
You could check my guide here on how to unbrick your pocophone:

I tried that, now I am a step forward I think, I flashed the stock firmware I found, and installed the latest stock ROM, rebooted (doesn't say no os anymore), but the only thing I see is a DELETE ALL DATA button and at the bottom 'Encryption was interrupted and can't be completed. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible.
To resume using your phone, you need to perform a factory reset. When you set up your phone after the reset, you'll have an opportunity to restore any data that was backed up to your Google account.'

So I had an OS-less phone that don't get recognised in MiFlash, and I had orangeFox recovery.
The steps to fix were:
- Flash a full stock Firmware
- Flash the stock ROM
- Flash DFE
- Format data to ext4
- Reboot and it works
So thanks all for your help
