hello xda member and developers,
i want to permanently dual boot my window 10 and remix os in my lenovo Z-50 70, laptop is there any way to do that...?
one more problem i am facing is that
i installed the ubuntu for dual boot but i always need to press the one key recovery button to enter in the boot option selection this makes me feel annoying.
one another is that
if i booted using one key recovery to ubuntu and they after shutdown i get back to windows 10 it take long time to start the desktop screen(where icons are there)
so i need a solution that whenever i press the just power key it pops up with the option in which os i need to get started Remix , Win10
please guys give me solution for above issues i am facing
thank you in advance
What method did you use for dual-booting? The Remix OS beta has an installer that runs in Windows and sets up dual-boot without messing with Ubuntu or anything, it will simply add an entry for Remix OS in Windows' boot menu. The part where Windows 10 runs slowly after a restart is probably caused by it having to load everything from scratch again. Usually when you tell Windows 8/10 to shutdown it actually hibernates, so it'll start up faster.
Just add a bootloader and give it enter the location of remix os.

I have a fairly generic Chinese tablet, a Neutab N7 (not a Nexus 7), but I have no idea how to enter the bootloader/fastboot mode.
Using adb, "adb reboot bootloader" or "adb reboot-bootloader" just makes it reboot normally.
From a shell, doing "su reboot bootloader" also reboots normally.
I tried Quick Boot from Google Play which has an option to reboot into the bootloader, but it also just ends up rebooting normally.
While powered off, I tried holding power and volume up, power and volume down, and power and both volume up and down, but they all just boot normally.
Doing "adb reboot recovery" does boot me into recovery mode, but the menu doesn't have a bootloader/fastboot option.
Does anyone have any idea how to enter the bootloader/fastboot mode for this tablet? Any help would be appreciated.

why do you want to enter the bootloader? and have they made any roms or cwm recovery for these types of generic android tablets?

Having been looking for this information myself i'm sharing real quick here what i've found. Scouring the net all over i've found NOTHING specific for these Chinese tablets but after finally getting on the scent of VROOT I downloaded and tried iROOT essentially a one-click rooter the .APK **DID NOT WORK** but the PC version **DID** can be found by googling iroot or vroot.
RE: bootloader, i've still found no way or any good info on entering the bootloader AFAIK this is locked and may not be possible without some good hard hacking on the firmware, I DO KNOW that if you try entering the "bootloader" with a reboot manager on the device u will find yourself at the "NeuTab" welcome screen and stuck. Fortunately at least in my experience, letting the tablet battery run down low you can boot back into it and root condition is still good.
Hope this helps somewhat I know its an old post but a lot of people have been looking for this info have yet to post on authors site confirming that the NeuTab also works with his software.
peace.
VE3UND
BTW I forgot to mention the site and the software (ALTHOUGH IT STATES OTHERWISE) is in Chinese. A leap of faith needed there I know but i confirm this method works. l8z
BTW^2 ALSO the android version was KitKat as received from the mfg, also have been told that Jellybean will install on the tablet after rooting and maybe is now included with device but don't quote me on that.
all in all a really nice tab for the price, especially now we have root biggest missing option: GPS but you can tether to another device with gps if you need to. Also no built in USB HOST MODE. //out
I've got the NeuTab N10 and can't get ADB to see it at all. How did you get ADB to work with your N7, were you able to find NeuTab ADB drivers somewhere?
So i recently came across this tablet in my stuff... something i picked up for the wife a few years back.
I also came across this website.... http://neutab.com/info-detail.php?InfoId=11
It has all the tools and programs that the company uses. includes all files for development of their entire line of tablets.
Thought this may be useful. just click on the link that says pheonixtools.zip and it will take you to a back end file server... This tablet is about as open sourced as it gets... so... this leads me to ask a question i have been struggling with for the last 2 years of being a member on this website...
can anyone... please... help me develop my first recovery and custom rom for this tablet? I just have never done it all the way... i have set up a couple things here and there... figured out how to strip the stock recovery and boot... but never got further than that.
Thanks for the help.
• Unzip phoenix tool.zip you just downloaded; (to open a .zip file, download WinRAR)
• In the folder of phoenix tool you just unzipped, depending on your system specs, select "drvinstaller_X64", "drvinstaller_x86" or "drvinstaller_IA64" to install tablet driver; Or you can run all three driver installer and at least one will work;
• Run "PhoenixSuit.exe", select "firmware" tab;
• Click on "Image" button, choose the firmware you just downloaded;
• Turn your tablet completely off (by press and hold power button for 20 seconds), press and hold "volume -" button, connect tablet to computer via usb cable, keep volume button held, press power button 10 times repeatedly;
• The phoenix tool should recognize the tablet. On pop-up dialog window, select if you want to format and wipe out everything on your tablet;
• The phoenix tool will start flash the firmware to the tablet. Wait till it is done;
• When upgrade is finished, disconnect your tablet from computer, press and hold power button for 10 seconds to quit upgrade mode. then press and hold power button for 2-4 seconds to turn tablet on;
Congratulations! Your tablet is now refreshed.
Ok so I have a NueTab Air 7 Android and I have talked toto their customer support which did neurologist absolutely no good. I have been trying to hard reset my tablet and do a factory reset by holding down the volume up and down keys and the power keys until it gives me the option of rebooting. However, there is no option for a factory reset. Only a Recovery mode, Fastboot mode, and Normal mode. I tired the Normal and Recovery an both sent me back to enter password that I can't rremember, which isthe why I'm resetting it lol. Finally I chose the Fastboot option and now it is stuck on that option and has been for almost an hour. It willwas not let me power off, try to hard reset, it is literally stuck. And it is a hundred percent charged. I do jot hav the optiontime to connectbe the tablet to acall Windows computer at this timetime, as the forums I have read say can possibly fix the issue. And what a surprise the customer service phone number for this specific tablet does not know how to fix it!!!!! Not surprised at all. If anyone at allthe has any ideas or knows what to do or howsomething to fix it please help meme. I'm very frustrated to say thethat least and in desperate need of help. Anything would be immensely appreciated. ~Melissa

I would love to root this tablet purely because it's my daughter's and some of the games she likes has some real funky permissions That they want! A custom rom would be nice but I will be satisfied with being able to revoke some of the permissions that the apps want to have access to.

I have yet to be able to download the zip or the firmware software. i got root with kingo pc version but that's pretty much it and I can't change the route manager because once I delete that then I don't have root anymore and can't add another one. Also I have yet to been able to get into or see download mode on this either. It just stays on the screen with the name on it and that's pretty much it. no bootloader unlock either

Hello.
I decided (unfortunately) to try new Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on my Sony Xperia T.
I used this guide to get to Recovery mode and this guide to install Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Everything went well there were no problems no confusions I followed every step without problem. There is just one small problem. After the installation "Step 11 – After the installation completes, go to “+++++Go Back+++++” and reboot the phone by selecting “reboot system now” from the recovery menu as show below" I did click on reboot system now, my phone turned off and that is. I waited 5 mins then tried to switch it on and nothing. The screen is still black. When I hold start button for few seconds my phone vibrate but not start. I don't know what to do, can someone help me please?
Thank you very much!
The guide it self is on the second page. First page is just some basic information about ROM, what to do before instalation etc.
You had bricked it

I have tried many times with many different builds (this latest time with the 08-30 build), but I can't get Remix OS for PC to boot on my tablet (Teclast X16 Power, Intel z8700).
The problem is that after the install process, the Remix OS boot selection does not show up in the Windows 10 boot menu.
I have attached a zip file that has a screenshot of my boot configuration (from EasyUEFI).
Suggestions?
Easy UEFI doesn't show you the boot menu. That's just the boot order - if you want the RemixOS entry to load move it to the top [top button in the middle]
OK, so how do I create a boot menu entry (in the Windows 10 boot selection menu) on an UEFI based tablet?

I did some more experimentation....
If I go into the UEFI BIOS and manually select Remix OS in the BIOS boot selection menu, it does start the Remix OS boot process.
I did run into 2 problems:
1> It brings up a boot selection menu that does not respond to touch screen or anything like that, so I had to connect a ketboard to my tablet just to boot it. It would be very helpfull of that boot menu either detected touchscreen into, or perhaps also support the volume up/down buttons and the power button for menu selection (the way old Android phones did). Or better yet, just have an entry in the Windows 10 touchscreen boot menu, the way that PCs with BCD based boot does.
2> The Remix OS boot process only mad it as far as the following prompt " ANDROID [email protected]_x64:/0# ". At that point it seemed frozen, and the system needed to be rebooted. I tried it a few times but couldn't get past that prompt, so I had to boot back to Windows 10.

EasyUEFI shows the same list that you see in the BIOS - so moving it up in that would make it default.
On 1> Best you can do is modify the grub.cfg to autoboot and add another Windows entry [maybe add a safe boot one] and see if you can get to Advanced settings ==> Use a device. If you wanted the volume keys you'd need either an updated BIOS with vol button support [probably not going to happen] or perhaps someone can compile a version of gummiboot to work.
On 2> Not sure how supported cherrytrail is: hopefully someone has some grub args you can try
Hello, I have this phone for 2 years. I tried to root in the past 5 months but no success because I flashed the TWRP recovery that i found in here but is for J5 2017 with Android 7, and mine have latest Android 9.
How I can find a recovery compatible with latest android 9? Thanks!
Sorry for bad grammar. I don't speak English mainly.
Edit: Edit: My phone still works now with latest stock android 9. But aparently the bootloader is so locked down even if I try to revert to android oreo it doesn't flash, only if i leave the phone full 7 days without disconnecting from sim network. Unfortunately i cannot maintain connected to celular sim( or whatever is called) because i live in vilage that i cannot catch good celular signal.
So for me, this phone is unrootable to me.
So. I'm done rooting!

When i did last time, it does boot in to recovery, when i wipe the data, cache, dalvik cache it doesn't want to wipe cuz is in read only , and when i boot normaly its doing boot loop and eventualy i kinda give up and flash the stock rom back.
As i can see your device has twrp, and many users faced same issue, what i'll suggest you now is flash this twrp from below guide, after that format data, wipe your system and flash any other pie rom which exist for your device with latest magisk... if the issue still exist you can pm me with the same

Well here i have solution:
NEW TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...twrp-samsung-j5-pro-twrp-3-1-10-v2-0-t3728233
STEPS:
Download Odin v3.13.1
Download and install Samsung Drivers (if you have them installed you can skip this step)
Go to settings/Developer options and enable OEM unlock (If you don't see developer settings, go into Settings/About phone/Software info and tap "Build number" 10 times to show Developer options menu)
Download TWRP_*.tar
Switch off the phone
Use Home+Volume Down+Power to enter Download Mode and connect the device to usb
Open Odin and untick autoreboot in "options" tab. Also make sure that your device is detected
Put TWRP_*.tar.md5 file into AP tab
Click Start
When Odin shows "PASS", take your device in hands, disconnect the usb cable and press simultaneously the "Home" + "Vol. Down" + "Power" buttons until the downoad mode disappears
At the precise moment the screen becomes black, immediately release the "Vol.Down" button and press the "Home" + "Vol. UP" + "Power" buttons during 10 to 15sec to forcefully enter TWRP
If it didn`t worked, redo the steps from #1 more careful this time.
