@ Greg
Just connect the phone (X10) to your PC and it will pop up with different installations. Install the Sony Ericsson PC Companion and it will tell you that there’s an update ready.
Then follow the instructions. This is a firmware update!
That worked for me!
My version is 1.0.16"
My phone allready have 1.0.16... (not upgraded it)
I also want it !
hhhmmmmmm, the fun that ill have come tuesday!!
Yes there is a 16 update around and no i can't update to it either...maybe it's generic vs carrier again - that's why we need root/custom roms!
I've got the .16 upgrade on my phone, I don't notice much of a change though.

even iam from india iam on .14 but whenever i check it states "firmware is upto-date".
Just upgraded mine from 14 to 16 last night by using Sony Ericsson Update Service. This is a baseband firmware update, so you won't be able to update via Android's update firmware feature.
Hello, in france, via SEUS the latest FW is still the 1.0.14. And I still have poping and cracking. Hope the 1.0.16 solve this issue.
Best regards
I'm located in Belgium and I also can't update to .16 software.
boy does this phone need 2.1!!!!!!!!!! its a gonner without it i am afraid. functionality and stability from 2.1 firmware will bring out the beast in this phone. 1.6 right now is too limited for what this phone is capable off so SONY dont let us wait too long! i know min issue would be adding media and timescape to 2.1 but it needs to be done!
Mine is a Vodafone UK Handset, SEUS is saying mine is up to date.
Model X10i
BaseBand. 1.0.14
Kerbel Verison. 2.6.29-rel
Build No. R1FA014

Looks like Vodafone are lagging with a firmware release.
Andy
Go to Sonys webbpage, dowload and install the software update service, follow the guide for X10 and install the latest update. It is easy to do and the last firmware is 1.0.16
Any Q?? you just ask.
Regards.

Ive done all that, it says my phone has the latest firmware on it. Currently i have firmware 1.0.14
Is this another delay with Vodafone being slow to release software?
No this is Sony Ericson soft and has nothing to do with Vodaphone. I just ran the program my self and had no problem at all. Just try it again.

It has more than you think. If the phone is branded then Vodaphone has to approve the update before it can be delivered through SEUS.
This is the same issue i'm facing with 3 Denmark, the phone has ONE extra app(3MobileTV) BUT that means that 3DK has to approve ALL software updates from SE before it can be installed...
This is why we desperately need root/custom roms
Ok, thank´s for updating me on that. But i still think it´s strange.

Hi, I live in middle east but I have an X10i from Sweden brand 3, and as far as I know the update to 2.1 is rolling to this model, but I'm not getting any update notification and when I try to connect my phone to the PC companion It keeps telling me that my phone has the latest firmware.
Does the country where I'm living affect the update process ?

Welcome to the forum.
Please use the search function - you will also find a number of stickies related to this item.
Google will also reveal a number of other blogs and news posts about this.
Sony Ericsson themselves also have some details on this on their website.
Has anyone from the UK had an update yet?
nothing here so far.
someone on the sonymobile forums claimed that the uk update was released but fails to install?
i've tried update from the phone, update via website, update via pcc and update via sony update service.
none of the above give any different results, it always says that my phone is already up to date.
No update as yet for the UK.

Hello!
Today I bought a Z4 tablet (SGP712) and I want to download the latest version using XperiFirm, so that if a new update comes, I can downgrade to the previous version.
I checked the box and had a sticker with the following info: "SI 1294-9561 Rev 2". Then in XperiFirm I looked for the firmware with this CDA (if this number is the CDA), but it does not exist.
What is weird though, is that the tablet came with the firmare 28.0.A.8.251 and at Settings>About>Software Update I checked for an update and did not find anything, but PC Companion found an update and upgraded it to 28.0.A.8.260.
How can I find the CDA to use with XperiFirm?
I have uploaded a screenshot from Service Info that may help.
Thank you

Why do I think your numbers is wrong. I see that you missed something out of numbers? Numbers should be eight digit, like XXXX-XXXX for example.
Your numbers maybe is 1293-7740, Saudi Arabia.
The update on Android 6.0.1 with compilation 26.3.B.0.131 is available and should have received it.
Via computer or over your phone check for updates?

Yes ! you are correct that's the correct number.I'am sorry I have made a mistake.
The CDA is correct but the build number is wrong as the Saudi Arabia one ends with R6C where as my no. ends with R6A.
Will it be compatible with mine?
I can send you a screenshot of my service menu if you give me your email address
BTW I'am really grateful to you!
@Thisura, That your current software ends with other initials, does not mean that the new can not be with others initials. This shows the new revision of software so that it is not a problem.
I asked if and how you try to update? Via PC or over the phone. Still no notice of the update is available if you attach your phone to the computer with Pc Companion program?

Hi!,
Before flashing using the Xperifirm, I just did a software repair on the PC Companion and voila! the Marshmallow update was installed on it without the lollipop one!
Again, many thanks for your response and I think the users who haven't received the Marshmallow just try this method i'am sure it will work for you as well!
