I have never understood the craze about giant clock widgets. It seems to me that if there is already a perfectly working clock in your status bar, you would not need to have a huge widget taking up half your screen to have the same function. It would be like having a gigantic 4x4 gmail icon when right next to it you have a normal gmail shortcut in your launcher.
For me, it's a decorative piece on the board. Even though it does take up a fourth of the screen, there's really nothing that it's covering, except the background, and that's already covered up to an extent by the calendar widget. It also acts as a shortcut to the alarm clock, which is really handy.
Big clock is for when your on the the homescreen, and little on is when you're in apps. That's how it is for me
I also have nothing better to put there, and and I don't want my phone to look like an IPhone

Just one more way to customize. I don't have a clock in my status bar.

Probably the same reason you have android for customization ....in that case why have a android? It makes calls .just get a old flip phone it makes calls.too.
i like the simple clean looking clock - similar to an ics style
dont like huge weather or clocks as i like to see the wallpaper behind
1) i hide my status bar (coz i can), so it helps having clock and date there instantaneously. A little needless i agree but what the hay
2) it looks nice and adds something to my desktop

I guess that I have never understood it either, but that's why android is customizable. Everyone can have exactly what they like and need on their phone!

It is. A agenda widget is way more useful. Also power widget (if you dont have it in the statusbar) is necessary. The power widget alone makes my friends regret they bought iPhones.
Ps: I still use the useless clock widget. Allways

I am not sure if there's an option in the paid version. But in the free ver you can only set it t transparent so it looks like its not there

In settings you can select transparent notification, which means no (visible) notification You can change priority to lowest, then there is no notification symbol at all. The problem then is that it maybe gets closed by android system, so transparent is better..

If you're looking for different icons for the notification toggles, other than the ones supplied with the app itself, then there's lots of good ones to choose from here :

With a bit of time & some GIMP work, you get what's in the screenshot below ( thanks to BlackBearBlanc for the base icons )

The 'off' icons are Dark Buttons 2
The 'on' icons are Dark Buttons 2 with the matching JBBlueGlow icon overlayed in GIMP, Photoshop,etc...and saved out.
I use SwitchWidget Pro and can change icons directly however I find there aren't enough of the system icons to complete my set:
Vibration Mode
Silent Mode
NFC
Flashlight
GPS
Auto-Sync
All the brightness options
I hope we can get them added??

Did you check all the options? With notification toggle you can have all what you mentioned, you can define what brightness changes should be available with every click (or have a menu to do it manually) etc.
What exactly are you missing there?

I don't think you can do it with the native launcher - I tried finding a setting the first day I had it. My guess is you'll need to use a different launcher. I've used Nova in the past...tons of customization available.

I'm with you - my background is fairly light so seeing the clock on the lock screen was hard, plus I wasn't a fan of the stacked style or the thin font (tired eyes like thicker fonts). Was bummed when I dug through all the settings and couldn't find anything that allowed for adjustment.
Same and I agree the stacked got is not that pretty to look at

Anyone find a way to use them? I find most of the icon packs in the Samsung store pretty ugly or outdated. Just want to use a nougat icon pack and I'll be happy lol

It does what the OP ask and does it well. No, it doesn't do the app drawer, that's not possible.

Today I found this article (spanish): https://elandroidelibre.elespanol.com/2017/11/crear-temas-para-samsung-galaxy-theme-galaxy.html/amp/
Right now I have an paid icon pack run on my TouchWiz S8 (no root, no break Knox security)
I found the hapiness!

There is another method you can use that hasn't been mentioned here that I use to theme side bar and lock screen icons (as I don't use Sammy launcher, but would also work for it)
Using tasker and app factory, make a task to launch the app you want with the new icon, assign the icon then export as an app and install, now hide the original app icon from drawer and you now have a themed shortcut you can put anywhere you want.
Yes it's long winded and takes effort, yes you have a few more apps installed than normal, but the over all effect is nice. All icons matching and all.
If you use a weather widget that does not show the time please post a screenshot and the name of the widget.
I wish there were more like this. There's a clock in the status bar, so I don't need another one on my screen.
Currently using SimpleWeatherWidget for location and Weather, Beautiful Widgets for Day and Date.
Here's mine. I use Today Weather.
I want the one from my S5, infact I want the icons also.
