From what i have read the verzion s6 has the option to wipe the phone like iPhones if you enter 10 incorrect passwords. The Locker program on Play does not monitor the finger print and backup password so it is useless if you use that on your phone.
Do you verizon S6 owners know if the wipe feature monitors the finger print sensor and backup pin? Is this an APK which can be installed cross platform on ATT and Tmobile S6 variants?
Thanks

I bought an Atrix that was sparingly used for two weeks locked to AT&T. I will be using it in India and have just ordered for an unlock code from cellunlock.
I want help to ensure I don't make the same mistakes some people have that might cause the Wi-Fi issue.
A motoblur account has already been created by the previous owner and i get the screen "Sim card is removed or changed , log into Motoblur to unlock".
I only have emergency call, set up APN, set up wi-fi and IMEI number as my options.
The wi-fi is connected at home to my router but I cant seem to access any browser -- everything leads me only to one screen which is the motoblur account screen as mentioned above.
I hence created a new Motoblur account on Motorola but I cannot log in -- " Username or Password incorrect"
(i) How do I use the new Motoblur account I created ? Should I ask the previous owner for his Motoblur username and password and then unlock it after receiving the unlock code from cellunlock ? (Read about IMEI# being tied to Motoblur)
(ii) Do I unlock it first after putting in my new sim and unlock code from cellunlock and then hard-reset the phone to enable my Motoblur account?
I want to be doubly sure to ensure I dont make any mistakes. The phone is with me in India and any pointers would be greatly appreciated
Update: Successfully unlocked using cellunlock code but still face problem of "Sim Card is changed or removed"
The indian Carrier Airtel is shown on the right top corner and the phone shows I'm connected to my homes netgear wi-fi but I can't access any browser.
I tired Hard resetting it as mentioned in one thread but it got stuck after choosing the Android Recovery selection -- A yellow triangle and Android logo appeared but nothing happened after Tapping the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Do i contact the original user of the phone for his motoblur Id?
Please help me guys.
so on the Galaxy S I9000 there are a slew of codes that can be used to access the engineering menu for the phone, change the csc file etc. -- change the enabling structure of the phone in effect.
So my question is: how do you (a) access and (b) change those codes for the galaxy Tab 10.1 when it is a version (4g Rogers in Canada) that does not have a phone dialer?
do you install a modem to activate a dialer? or does the sim card control that availability on the Tab 10.1?
anyone played with this yet? is there another way to access the codes not using a phone dialer?
There is an app that Samsung uses called Factory Mode. It brings up a calculator looking interface which allows you to enter numbers and # signs etc. Don't get too excited though. Most of the I9000 codes don't work just giving a Wrong Format error. I don't know if you need this special app or if any calculator app will work.
How do I know? I just got my tab back from Samsung after sending it in for service and it came back with the factory mode app on it.
I wonder what's the purpose of that "Factory Mode" for end users, aside from saving time as lock screen/mechanisms are completely nonexistent.
I just bought a unlocked galaxy note and I had to to get my access point names right so I could use my data form AT&T. I'm ready to rooted my phone and flash a ics firmware (rom) on my samsung galaxy note N-7000. when I flash, will my access point names be ok. I've already went ahead and copy on paper the way they are now so I wont lose them. Any info you have would be
great, thanks.
P.S. Your access point names are how you get your data from your cell phone provider such as at&t, sprint, boost mobile, etc etc. It has nothing to do with your wi-fi.
If you mean by router name then no

Not sure what youre asking for but here we go...
Sharing your phones dataconnection via Wifi eg Wireless hotspot on your phone will have to be set up again by you.
If you mean the wireless networks (Wifi) you have connected to previously and saved credentials for on your old phone they are sometimes saved in your google account so might be synced to you new phone from the cloud, this has been hit or miss for me.
If you mean your telcos APN stuff cant you just have them send it to your from their website or so?

Re;
I just discovered that my 2 hand phone has been blacklisted after I bought it. But the blacklist doesn't apply for the whole country...That's ridiculous...

My father uses a Redmi Note 4 and there a weird issue I ran into.
- The sim card of my father (used on Note 4) got deactivated for some reason and I am now no longer able to recover the number
- The account used to login into Note 4 is my dad's google account and it has 2FA enabled .Now without sim, I have no alternative way to verify code and login. All I have is the first factor - username and password. The recovery email that was given is invalid as well
- So now, coming to the Note 4 part of it - I am not even able to use the phone because I don't have access owner account ( I did a factory reset) tied to the phone (my dad's account)
- Now considering the sim card is not coming back anytime soon (Airtel sucks and I don't expect them to resolve it anytime soon), how can I use the phone now?
- Bootloader not unlocked. Its on stock MIUI
Ok I did some research and it looks like Google FRP needs to be bypassed and this falls under shady territory. I have the bill for the mobile device and also it was bought it my name. If I produce bill and ID at a Xiaomi authorized service center, they will reset the phone for me?
