a few days ago, I installed the CM9.1 v6 from scritch's thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987130
at first, i used the kernel v5 and it was working fine. 3 days ago, i downloaded and flashed the v6 kernel. 2 days ago, I left my phone charging at 47% for an hour or so, when i came back, i saw a black screen and the screen as well as battery was extremely hot(around 35-40 degrees). I tried switching it on but it showed only the kernel logo 'X10 never dies' and then again black screen after flashing blue led 3 times. I waited for 5 minutes. again it got extremely hot. I pulled out the battery and kept it aside for 5 minutes to cool down. after that i tried several times to switch it on but every time i got the same problem and i had to remove the battery to cool it down. at night, i kept the battery out from the phone only. I thought it would work in the morning. But yesterday morning I couldn't even switch it on. I connected it to the charger(an original SE charger with original USB cable). After connecting to the charger also, it heated up instantly but there was no display on the screen and it wasn't charging. I have been trying to charge it since yesterday(using charger and connecting with pc also) but it gets EXTREMELY HOT every time without charging or switching on. Please help me!
What should I do???

the phone is neither switching on nor charging.....I cannot connect it to computer also.....I cant put it in flash mode for connecting to flashtool....nothing is happening except it starts heating gradually after connecting to charger.....((
Tips to connect your phone in flashmode if there is no green light when you are trying to connect it to flashtool:
1. Press back button while plugging it into your computer USB port.
2. Do not release back button and press power button once while you are pressing back button.
3. Green LED light should appear.
4. Release back button when your phone is detected in flashtool.
(MAKE SURE THAT YOUR BATTERY IS FULLY CHARGED)

I charged the battery fully using an external battery charger. When i connect it to flashtool, the green led glows but as soon as i select the file to flash, the led comes off and it starts heating again. I tried using Sony Update Service also to repair it, but as I click on next after connecting it, the same happens, green led goes off and it starts heating up.
Please SOMEBODY help me!!!!
I downloaded the Stock firmware from the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749426
I downloaded the India Generic Kit 1237-0692. I tried flashing it through flashtool but between 14-15%, the flash mode just goes off and the phone gets disconnected. Now, the condition is worse than before. Earlier, I was able to switch the phone on and see the 'Xperia Never Dies' screen from scritch's kernel. But now, nothing is there. Everytime I try to flash generic firmware either thru flashtool or SEUS, the green led goes off and it gets disconnected.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME FIX MY PHONE. I HAVE NO OTHER PHONE TO USE.
I dont really understand what your problem is

You should select the FTF file first then you can connect your phone when the flashtool ask you to connect your phone...
your steps are wrong... the same thing goes to me too when i connect the phone before i select my desired firmware file...
please attach your flashtool log
Here are some suggestions my friends note had a similar problem:
1.Try using a new battery maybe the battery fails as it spoilt and can't handle strain(my friend had this problem)
2.Since your phone won't do anything u can try go to a store and say I don't know what happened and ask for help
3.Did you try entering recovery and flashing a Rom or nandroid backup. Your question is not very clear.
Please let us all know what u did to solve the issue.

If i try to connect to ,flashtool or pc companion , green light appears but phone is not detected , stays green for around 60 seconds and then reboots back to square 1. Setool doesnt even turn green?

If I remeber, when you turn off phone and connect charger it boot up but it will not start whole system, only charger icon is shown on the screen.
If you have very low battery it can take couple minutes to boot and show icon on the screen.

Thanks for your reply but if i leave it plugged in / charging it just continously reboots with red light flashing?
try installing the drivers from flashtool directory..
i just charge my phone lastnight and when i wake up this morning, my phone was shutdown and when i hold the power button it's just show me a black screen and red backlight .
try with flash tool to flash stock rom but it's not work, my pc didn't connect with the phone =_=.
So does the battery is dead or my phone is broken
I'm guessing the battery is dead. Normally attempting to turn on with dead battery will blink the notification led three times. Just leave your phone connected to charger and try again later

I will wait hours for charging.
Anyway, do you know other solution? It's very strange it's bricked! I didn't flash anything new and cm11 was working well!

If you're using cm11 you should be able to boot into recover right?
This happened to me today. Last night I left my phone charging on my PC through the USB port. PC was off, but USB is still powered. Phone was on.
The next morning, after I woke up I noticed that when I pressed the power button nothing happened. I plugged the cable off my PC, then back on, and the led was staying lit up red. Nothing when I pressed the power button again. No fastboot, nothing.
Finally, I plugged the phone using the original Sony adapter to the mains. It showed the Sony logo and it started charging. At least, so I thought. After a couple of hours, I checked the charging progress and nothing, battery was showing empty. So I tried to power the phone on while still charging. It booted Android and it was showing charging, but 0%. I powered the phone back off, it immediately started charging and battery progress was about 80%.
My guess is that somehow battery stats files were corrupted/deleted. Luckily the phone did not get bricked. I am on Android 4.0 ICS.

It seems XSola has issue with this. My previous phone which is Xsola did suffer from this issue multiple times though. On my ex-XU (too) never had this problem and in my current XP i've had once.

Hi, after broke my display(and i keep the phone whitout display), i used my phone via pc(whit Visor's app), i keep turn on my device and plug to pc, so when i turn on the pc, the pc charg the phone. So it never discarge the battery(teorecly). Today when i turn on the pc, the phone make a vibration like if you plug the phone to charge it when he is off. So i unpluged it and disconect the battery and connect the battery again, after i try to turn on the device from the power button but not respond, so i plug the phone to pc and the phone start to led blink and the pc no recognize it.
So, anyone know how i resolve it? or why the phone make the led blink and no recognize from pc? it's maybe the battery dead?
I make a video to the phone when led blink
PS: Sorry for bad english

Well the moto z doesn't have a led. The flashing is your display....this happens often, when the battery is dead. Let the phone charge with an regular wall charger. And after some time it will boot up normally.

See the video, in my phone i don't have a disply because i broke it. And the moto z have led, in fact some rom have the setting to turn on the led.
I think it doesn't start because no display is connected.
The blinking LED might light in a debugging rythm for support.

Yeah, maybe that helps.
Was the phone turned on when you removed the display?
Hi, today i tryed a few thing, and finally i succeeded to power on my Moto z.
Practically i disconnect the battery, plug the usb and after a few second reconnect the battery, so doing that the phone start, i don't know how.
But still a problem, the pc not recognize it, and if i disconnected it from pc he power off. So i think is the battery is dead, another little problem is which the battery pack(INCIPIO MOD) don't charge.
So my plan is or charge the battery pack(INCIPIO MOD) whitout phone ( so i should open it and try to charge the battery pac whit a power supply) or if anyone have a think, post below
